I noticed NFL players always look like they can’t tackle when their facing Kamara!!! When it happens over and over you just have to start to think it’s not the tacklers fault Kamara is just a hard player to tackle!!!!!

Now I understand why the offense does this. I was always mad at the play calling, especially when they run it bcuz when Kamara runs it, he typically gets 2-4 yards per carry, where as Murray runs it he gets well pass 5 just about every time he runs it, but this all makes sense now.
@SwindleJr

I always used to hate Kamara because I felt like he could never do anything on his own without space, but after this season and this video it’s amazingly clear how well Sean can create the space that Kamara can take advantage of better then anyone else. That first play you showed was absolutely incredible, I never would have noticed the designed screen you showed and how well it was set up!!!

Remember before this season most people wouldn’t even put Kamara in their top 5 RBs??? I remember.
@schuylersavage276
@schuylersavage276 4 жыл бұрын
Well it depends on what you value in a back, what skills you are talking about specifically, if you take system and support into context, etc. while it’s silly if no one had him in the top 5?! That’s crazy...but that being said, you can make a solid argument for why Kamara is the best back in the league, AND you can make one for why he is barely in the top 5. Nick Chubb, Derrick henry, Dalvin Cook, Christian Mccaffrey, Saquan Barkley, Zeke Elliott, Aaron Jones. You feel me? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not arguing all of them are better than Alvin, not at all. They are all great in their own right. You could make arguments for all of them being better than Kamara depending on what “better” means, you know? Like better how?? Also as stated, Kamara happened to be drafted by a team that is perfect for his skill set. That’s why after he was drafted a lot of people were excited to see him in Sean’s offense! You know? That doesn’t mean we take anything away from him...but that matters a lot. If he were on a team that didn’t know how to use him correctly, we wouldn’t even know how good he is. This happens to a lot of backs and people say they suck...until they see what they look like in the right scheme. I mean look at Mostert. He wasn’t even considered a top 3 back on his teams until Kyle Shan found him and recognized how perfect he would be in his zone scheme! And it still took multiple injuries to the backs in front of him for him to get his chance. Since then? He’s been one of the best backs in the league. Honestly if it weren’t for injuries this year, he might be having the best RB season no lie. PFF has him ranked as the #1 back in all of football. He just hasn’t had the volume yet for people to notice. Also think of what Nick Chubb was able to do his first two years on bad teams. It’s not like the browns were known for having elite Fantasy RBs prior to him, the way that the saints are, you know? Aaron Jones is another great example! Before Matt arrived, packers fans were clamoring to get this kid the ball more! He would have 800-1000 total yards on limited touches, but McCarthy just didn’t want to use him more. Lafluer comes in and BAM, 1600 total yards and 19 TDs, and he’s also leading the league with 7 TDs this year! Jones best seaosn and Kamaras best seaosn are nearly identical. Jones had a couple more TDs. They both had 1600 total yards and both 5.5-5.8 yards per touch. But until Jones was used correctly? No one really knew about him. I know some of the guys I listed are injured..but is that a good reason to say they arnet some of the best in the league? Heck no. For this year alone? Ok. But think of last year. The same reason people were silly to be down on Alvin, injuries, is the same reason people would be silly to be down on Saquan, Chubb, CMC, Cook, etc. I’m not a Zeke fan and I think it’s obvious he is struggling this year...and he has definitely benefitted from his teams scheme and success around him in the past, but he is still one of the best. Kamara is so great at the things he is best at, but there are other backs who are just as great in their own right. I think I’d have to say Barkley is the most talented, and therefore best, back in the league simply because of what he was able to do surrounded by such a pathetic team, you know? I don’t know if any other back in the league would have been able to do what he did in NY his first two years. Imagine Barkley in NO? Dallas? Minny? Wow

Kamara is the perfect example of why you can’t obsess over speed and think without elite speed you can’t be an elite RB. While his 4.53 40 shows he isn’t slow by any means, his 12.00 100m time shows that he doesn’t have elite top end speed either. And none of that matters lol I should add or clarify: I’m not saying AK doesn’t have any type of speed. Of course he does!! I’m just saying that with how much the media seems to talk about 40 times, or someone having been a track star, etc, they make you think that is the only way to gauge if a player is going to be a successful game breaking NFL RB or WR. It’s simply not the case. You can try to come up with all types of drills to determine someone’s FOOTBALL speed/ability, but at the end of the day some guys just got IT. Some guys might not have top end sprinters speed, or even top end 40 speed, but they can change direction in an instant and then accelerate. They can have otherworldly balance. They can be so agile. I know anyone who follows football closely knows all of this, but it’s just interesting to me. So much is made about times. Like..who cares lol. Sometimes the fastest times are the guys who make the most plays, sometimes not. I like to think of a guy like Darren Sproles. His 40 time was just under 4.50. Not bad! But on the field? In open space? Or cutting and changing direction on a dime? Oh man! He was something else!! And it’s not a surprise that Kamara is having success in the same offense!! Shit I remember Pierre Thomas wasn’t too bad himself in this offense! Reggie was a beast as well!! Although that was back when people thought you had to rush for 1,000 yards at minimum to get any respect as a RB. Man I feel for Reggie in that context. I almost wish he got to play in today’s league. Going for over 1000 total yards plus an elite punt return man as a rookie? With 85 catches? And seen as a bust? Smh
