About that Tory thing: I was among the people who thought immediatly after part 1 came out the writers kept something away, I mean they did hide something from the audience not to ruin the cliffhanger, the moment Tory left Miyagi-Do until she was in Barcelona. And a panel with some of the cast members in Scotland early October gave me a confirmation this thought or gut feeling was maybe right (PS: Warning for a possible spoiler, dont read it if you dont want): I saw Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Martin Kove and his son Jesse Kove attended a Con in Scotland on October 5-6. Being from Europe myself (Germany), I took my time and watched it, and there was something: I am among the few fans who doubts Tory just joined Cobra Kai because of Kreese or because Daniel stopped the Sam fight for the captain spot, and Martin, Mary and Jesse Kove gave me a kind of confirmation my doubts are legit. Here the details: The title of the clip is "There is only one Karate Kid and that s Johnny Lawrence, Cobra Kai Cast at Comic Con Scotland 2024". Tanner, Mary, Marin, his son Jesse Kove, and Paul "Stingray" were there. Start at 27,20 minutes: A little kid took the mic and asked Martin directly why Tory joined Cobra Kai and what he thinks about it. Then following happens: Martin Kove: "She is a favorite of John Kreese forever. So when she turns (joins)...is a tricky answer, because..." Mary Mouser to Martin: "Yes, you cant say too much" Jesse Kove to his dad Martin: "Up until what they ve seen" Martin Kove: "Up until what they ve seen, right!" And then Martin continiues. As you see, Martin himself said first its a tricky answer because basically he cant say everything. Then Mary jumps in and teels him he cant say too much. And after her, his son Jesse also tells his dad Martin he can just answer this question up until what they (we, the fans) have seen. Means: There is something about why Tory joined Cobra Kai that we havent seen yet, but Martin cant speak about it yet. This should be a major hint there is something that we dont know yet, means something did happen when Tory left MIyagi-Do, and before she joined C.K.. Of course I dont know what, but it wasnt like it looks like, that should be almost sure after this conversation on that panel. Because if its just was like we all think, I mean Tory only joined C.K. because of her conversation with Kreese and Daniel stopped the captain fight, there would be no need for Martin to hold anything back, and even gets the notification by Mary and Jesse he cant say too much or better said he cant say everything. Most probably it wasnt how it looks like in the end of episode 5. Otherwise Martin could just tell the kid why Tory joined, and neither Mary nor Jesse had to tell him not to say too much, this is like a major strong hint something did happen, and this something will explain why Tory ended in Cobra Kai. And my though is Robby actually did follow Tory after she left Miyagi-Do, but he couldnt find her anymore because of this "somnething".

They should redo part 1 and implement the scenes you said they should have had with Robby. I am happy he won the fight for captains spot but he just doesn't feel like Robby anymore. I saw a person saying one of the creators said Robby fans will have a lot to look forward to this season. Aside from him beating Miguel, I don't really see it as of right now.

That’s literally what I said , the writers gave him a pity win in the captain fight due to outside noise from the fans , u can literally just tell by the way they talked in interviews and bc of that they had to make his character stay there to get the headband bc it was his " first place " moment completely ignoring Tory something that Robby would literally never do which it’s funny bc they portrayed Tory to be the source of his so called " balance " in the same episode when he was fighting but as soon as she breaks down he just stays there 🤦‍♂️🤣 .

The Robby and Tory issue was done for the sake of plot. They wanted Tory to feel isolated and desperate enough to go back to Cobra Kai and it was just cheap. Robby couldn’t even focus on his match against Miguel because he was worried about her but somehow he ignores her when she leaves crying. The lack of interaction between Robby and Kenny is criminal. I know that Kenny isn’t a main character but they shouldn’t have shafted him in part 1. I don’t understand what the writers are thinking. This is the last season we want to see all the characters we love interact on our screens for the last time. We don’t want to see more meaningless banter between Daniel and Johnny that takes up the entire screen time without adding anything new to the story.

Anthony isn’t part of Robby’s arc and never had been so idk why they would show this they should’ve at least done the clip vs Sam or Hawk.

I think the only really issue robby had coming into the season was saving kenny. After that there wasn’t much to do with him. Same way hawk hasn’t had a rlly good arc in 2 seasons. After s4 hid character is honestly done for. Bad writing tbh. The writers tend to give up on there characters once they are developed and then focus on other things instead of giving there main characters shine. I feel like part 2 is gonna give robby more justice (i hope)

Let me remember these so called fans, Miguel has actually experienced his first ever lost. Let's not forget Miguel bad mouthed Robby in his totally disrespectful Standford University college application just so he can actually get into Standford University. That was really really worng of Miguel to frame Robby as the bad guy yet alone by name. College applications don't not approve of bad mouthing someone. It's against their rules. Tbf it would be cool if Robby but everything implies he'll get injured again and even Jacob Bertrand who said Robby to let his moment makes a lot of jokes, but still I think he'll have a comeback at least because it'll definitely piss Robby fans off if his last big moment in the show is getting injured but yeah I'm not sure who will win the tournament, though I do want Tory to win the female because she deserves a true win, Sam alr has like 5 on her, and it would raise the stakes and would even be a good subversion but also set up for her redemption arc
