I did go to Disney Quest and it was awesome but they could have done more with the building as it was super popular during the summer because Florida is hot and humid, so if your not sweating from the heat your hiding from the thunderstorms... it just sucks. Disney is getting greedy.

I remember seeing a little of Sega World in Sydney back in 1998, but didn't really have any interaction with it. I also remember it used to have a theme park called Wonderland, which was exactly like Dreamworld at the Gold Coast, except in Sydney and it had a Hanna Barbera section instead of a Nickelodeon section. That park has sadly closed down roughly the same time as Sega World in Sydney, while the best theme parks in Australia still remain up in the Gold Coast. The same place that will host the 2018 Commonwealth Games next year.

Sega World Sydney was actually really cool. That said, I do remember being there and thinking there was very few people in attendance. We never actually queued for any of the rides. Was obviously during the late 90s. Next time I returned to Sydney it was gone.

6:50 I believe because most of the attractions weren’t interesting enough for everyone to have fun with take this as an example a group of kids would be having fun with the machines but adults wouldn’t have been understood the technology and would rather bring their kids to places like bowling alleys,ice rinks,cinemas and water parks to get their moneys worth

Yeah, I've only been to those Sega arcade buildings at Akibahara and Osaka recently. Other than that, I've never know Sega opened its own indoors theme parks before. Heck, it was quite rare to find an arcade in my country back then. Now in 2017, Ubisoft is going to open an indoor theme park in my home country. Fingers crossed.

I have been to the Sega Arcade in Japan you had in that picture which is in Akihabara. It was pretty cool. I really like the Initial D Arcade Machines. It is really tough to find a place that has them in America. I also went to Disney Quest in 2007 and 2014. By 2014 it had really gone down hill but I still had fun. Arcades still do well in Japan but they are dead pretty much everywhere else.

Last time I went to the Trocadero centre there were a good 2 or 3 floors of just empty space, with very few arcade machines and games haphazardly arranged. It looked like it had been untouched for years. it was depressing as all shit. I'm surprised they haven't filled the ridiculous amount of space in with something else, especially since it's a major mall in central London. Didn't even know that it was Sega world until a little while after I visited, it was unrecognisable. It might have changed since though, I haven't been in a few years.
@bogey7 жыл бұрын
Okay after further research I found out the entire Trocadero centre closed a couple of years ago. It's a shame, they had decent areas and the dead Sega World was very interesting to me as someone who likes weird, obscure Sega/Sonic history. I can see why though, there were very few decent shops - it couldn't have been making much money.

Does ANYONE know the name of the Virtual Simulator 3D ride that was in the Sydney Sega World, where you had to race all these crazy characters in a real beat down underdog vehicle/ship ...and i remember there was a Black Widow character who was one of the racers you versed... and each ship/racer would destroy each other.. and you'd barely scrape through and win the race?? The alternate ride to that was some dinosaur island thing where you flew through and saw different awesome creatures i think...not sure if thats the Aqua Planet ride this video was mentioning? Farrrk me i'd give an arm to go on BOTH those rides again... o. O goooodtimes. awesome video mate and i have really Fond but Short memories of Sega World in Sydney. Still remember them awesome Sonic Coins that you used in the park.

I've actually been to a Sega world, it was in Dubai tho and it wasn't even called Sega World, it was called Sega Republic. It had a lot of cool stuff like a roller coaster, and this game that is in REAL LIFE where you enter this neon green room and you have to dodge these red lasers, if you get hit by them you fail, just a loud beeping sound, that's it d: There was also bumper car's tho, just bumper car's, and other stuff like claw machines and stuff. But the real thing I wanna talk about is that.........They ACTUALLY HAD a thing were you could buy GE, Jawswearys, and TOMY Sonic toy's and plushy's, I got so many cool figures and plush's including a Shadow GE plush, Sonic, Super Sonic, and Shadow super posers, 3-inch figures from TOMY and Jawswearys, Silver GE plush, Super Sonic plush, 12-inch modern Sonic Jawswearys plush, Classic Sonic and Classic Tails plush, that's it. Done with the comment, thanks d: BTW, it's still open to this day in Dubai Mall d:
