I caught my last pastor plagiarizing messages off the internet by doing simple Google search. He read about 75% word by word. He eventually left our church for another church. We have a new pastor and sadly he is finding messages off the web too. It just makes me upset how they cant trust God enough to give them the Word for us. They shouldn’t put sermons online.

I don't have a quarrel with a pastor using someone else's outline, as long as he develops the points himself. However, lest he plant doubts about his integrity, it would be wise for him to tell the people upfront. I'm not in the habit of borrowing outlines from other preachers, but I do remember one time when I borrowed one from Warren Wiersbe. I told the congregation, "I had already prepared my own outline of this text, but I liked Dr. Wiersbe's outline better, so I'm using it instead." The congregation laughed. However, there's a huge difference between borrowing a preacher's outline and preaching his entire sermon verbatim. If a pastor does the latter (for some unimaginable reason), he should at least have enough integrity to admit it.
