In 1 John 2:1 we can read these important words: "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous". In other words, we must fight sin as hard as we can, but even if we fail, we have a wonderful Advocate in heaven.

I just don’t get it because I fail nearly every day despite genuinely trying to overcome my flesh and I feel conviction/rebuke from the Holy Spirit each time and feel like I’m breaking God’s heart/letting him down and I just don’t see a way out when I’m in this flesh. I can go days even sometimes weeks but I always go back and stumble and it just feels like a losing game. Is this what life is really about?

@@kunntakentay You are desperately trying to overcome sin and it hurts you when you can't. There is a huge difference between those who are trying and feeling devastated, and those who don't care. There are a lot of Christians who say that they are merely human when questioned about their sin. God can see your heart and your battle, and you will still make it to heaven with the help of his grace and mercy. Yes, for Christians life will be a constant battle between the flesh and the spirit, until they die. Less for some and more for others, a bit easier for some and harder for others. As soon as you face temptation, mentally shift yourself to that place and time 2000 years ago to that moment when they were murdering Jesus. Literally picture his bleeding body and all the hateful people standing around. Then tell yourself that he did it personally for you. But don't get discouraged if you can't overcome. There is still hope.

To truly love and believe in Jesus, mere words are insufficient without corresponding effort. God can see it and all your thoughts, he cant be tricked. I would argue that saying you believe in Jesus when you don't is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as you are probably only doing it to free load in Heaven. You don't think that would make God angry to use his son as a monopoly on Heaven?

I think GotGuestions is saying; that when Jesus said: “Go and sin no more”, is to turn away from your sinful life. Repent and change your ways to align with God’s. We all mess up, we all sin and bring sorrow to God. Every day, everyone will do something or think something sinful, we’re not perfect. It’s our sinful nature. But, fight it, don’t give it a leg to stand. Keep repenting and ask God to help you to over come your sins. It’s his grace and power in you that will make the changes. You have free will. What will you do with that? Pray and study the Bible daily. It’s a day at a time thing. He knows your heart!!Keep your eye in the prize…. Heaven awaits us. God loves us. Eternity is forever and our time here is short.

No he was specifically talking to the woman, not anyone else at the time. After all of her accusers had left, he said neither do I accuse you. Most believed he was telling her not to do the specifics sin again. And that logically may be the case, since her sun was specifically mentioned not your mine or the pharisees that accused her. Of course we can also assume he is talking to us as well, but I don't think that is the case here, but we can apply some of thevteaching

I asked him that very question once and his answer was that telling a sinner to go and sin no more was for him the same as telling a blind person to receive their sight or in other words "Go and be be blind no more". When he says it, he gives the supernatural power to accomplish what would be impossible for us without him but with him it is possible. In Christ we are sinless because he says to us go and sin no more. Though the body (our flesh) is dead because of sin our spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Lord didn’t mean that we cannot commit sin (John. 5:14; 8:11). The meaning of the text in 1 John 3:9 is not that believers can never commit sin. If that is what the writer means that they can never commit sin then he will be contradicting his statement in the early chapter when he wrote that *_"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us"_* (1 John 1:8). The KJV rendering of the the text is vaguely confusing, but with the aid of other translations we can certainly know what 1 John 3:9 is clearly saying. Here's what the other translation render the text: *NIV (New International Version)* "No one who is born of God *_will continue to sin,_* because God’s seed remains in them; *_they cannot go on sinning"_* *NLT (New Living Translation)* "Those who have been born into God’s family *_do not make a practice of sinning,_* because God’s life is in them. So *_they can’t keep on sinning"_* *ESV (English Standard Version)* "No one born of God makes *_a practice of sinning,_* for God’s seed abides in him; and *_he cannot keep on sinning"_* So, then we understand that it doesn't mean that they never sin, but that they can go on living in sinfulness or they cannot continue practicing sin as a way of life. That’s what it means of the text in 1 John 3:6, 9. John also wrote that there is a sin which is *UNTO DEATH* (1 John 5:16-17); and that is living and practicing a sinful lifestyle.
@jerrylayman5175
@jerrylayman5175 2 жыл бұрын
@@paeng46 Those translations are almost certainly skewing the actual original text. They translated that way because the writers absolutely insist that EVEN WITH the power of G. d it is still impossible to be completely faithful. They DO NOT like scripture that plainly says that we can be perfectly equipped to ALWAYS do g..d works. These subtle modifications, apparently, are common in every translation tbh. This scripture is extremely similar to so much other scripture. It most likely means the same: we CAN stop s: nn:ng and CAN be perfectly equipped for r: ghteousness through our proper faith which produces miracles.
@paeng46
@paeng46 2 жыл бұрын
@@jerrylayman5175 The point that I was trying to emphasize was- it’s not that it’s impossible to be faithful, but it is possible to do what God is telling us to do in his word because he is commanding us to live by his commandments. John said that his commandments are not burdensome (or grievous). It’s not that we cannot sin; but not that we will live in a sinful lifestyle. John said that there is a sin which leads to death (1 John 5:17). And that is *_practicing and living_* in a sinful lifestyle; and thereby giving the certainty of being condemned by God if we do so (see Romans 8:1). Yes, the translations, as I only chose 3 translations were correct in putting the text in their literal meaning. No need to find excuse of mistranslating the passage because they were not a mistranslation. The KJV 1611 is vague in its way of saying it as it is, and since it was translated word for word *_out of the original tongue_* then without the aid of other translations, you will have a different understanding of the text. But with the help of other translations then we will certainly know what the passage in 1 John 3:9 actually conveys.

@@paeng46 The commandments of the old covenant were given BECAUSE of s: n and faithlessness. They were a school teacher to guide spiritual ch: ldren. Even the 10 commandments are done away with. The scripture specifically points them out in the NT. In the new covenant we are called to mature and always be completely filled with ALL the mind of G. d that we can hold, and if we are filled completely then *"we shall NEVER fall"* . There are no laws of r: ghteousness for those who are r: ghteous by nature.

@@paeng46 Also, I checked the original Greek. While, apparently, "poiei" can be used to mean "make" or "practice" the translations you quoted are verbose and gives a slight different meaning than the exact literal Greek wording. It does not translate "make a practice of" . Plus, the surrounding text is ALSO conveying that same idea which is that we are expected to and able to stop s: nni:ng.

Here's the ultimate question Christians need to ask: Can we now live free from sin and sin no more? Why don't we if the power of sin was broken by Christ at the Cross? Flesh battles against Spirit and Spirit against the flesh but a question comes to mind: do we walk after the flesh or the Spirit? Just think about it, especially if we are to sin not but "if" we sin, we have an advocate. Not "when" we sin, but if we do.

JOhn 15: 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. Romans 6 will also give you more insight on how to get free from sin and it does require as Jesus said if we are to follow him to pick up our cross and die daily IF IF IF we Die with him we will liver with him As far as the flesh vrs the Spirit it does not mean what many make it out to mean, iit means they cannot rule at the same time the flesh is enmity with God and cannot please God galatians 5,6 and romans 8 go together Notice the verse after states IF you walk in the spirit you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh

First of all Jesus obviously would never tell anyone to sin again,so the opposite of that would be "sin no more".(He wouldn't die for our sins then if He didn't care about the Eternal consquences of sin.)The bigger picture here however,in this scenario,is that Jesus was exhorting this woman not to commit adultery again.The focous was more about the particular sin she did.Not with an expection that she would no longer be a sinner in genaral.(Although of course He wants us to try our level best to overcome all and any temptations)Just because Jesus forgives us of ALL our sins doesn't mean He wants us to keep doing it.On the flipside no matter how many times we stumble the Grace of God is there,if we have repented.

Why is it so hard to work out? Yes, we are certainly saved by grace through Jesus Christ our Lord, but you can make an effort, can't you? You can stay away from obvious sin; once you identify it (with the Holy Spirit's help), you can 'do a 180', and get away from it. Be like Joseph (in Genesis 39: 11-12), and run from evil and temptation; don't hang around, just get away from it, as quickly as you can, and thank God, that he showed you what to do, when evil presented itself to you. Treat it 'like the plague', run from it, into the arms of God, through our beloved Savior -Jesus 'The Christ'.

Revelation 3:15-19 King James Version 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. If Jesus said to stop sinning, He means stop sinning! A Christian means 'Christ Like'! Don't you believe in His power to stop sinning? Again When I was called by God, I didnt sin. Because I had no radio, no tv, no computer. All I had was His word and God in my life and I walked, meditating on Him for 12 hours a day. Its a choice, how much do you want to live for Jesus? ADDED: STOP MAKING EXCUSES TO SIN!!!!!!! You will be judged for what you are preaching to God's children!! The Biggest thing is that there is No Fear of a Living God. When I started walking, God filled me with Fear. I was walking 20 miles a day on needles afraid that I might sin. I was TERRIFIED!!! But over time God took away that fear because I continued doing His will and it got more comfortable walking. But I did have this one day I wont forget. I walked about 17 miles and I was so tired, in so much bodily pain and weak that I collapsed to the ground on a back road. I cried out to God, "What are You doing?" I decided to roll into the ditch and sleep and get up later to finish the last 3 miles home. Immediately I just stood up and finished the walk home as though I just started the day. Fear will put us in reverence with God and to know that we serve a jealous and All Powerful Eternal God. WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?? GROW UP CHILD!!!!!

Jesus knew that whatever is in a person's consciousness had brought about their crippled, maimed or diseased condition. So the question is: will their normal "consciousness" bring about a return of the condition divinely erased from their body? Therefore Jesus said to people who had received healing: "go and sin no more."

John 5:14 means this: Jesus’ words here do not mean that this man’s sickness was due to some sin he had committed. Rather, the man Jesus cured had been sick for 38 years because of inherited imperfection. Now that the man had been shown mercy and was healed, Jesus urged him to follow the way of salvation and avoid WILLFUL SIN that could result in something worse than sickness, which is Everlasting Destruction! Amen! It is not impossible to not sin going forward. We are all going to have sin in our lives and we will always by tempted by it. We may never get it perfect but we better be coming close. Sinlessness is not impossible. The Bible never says that. It tells us if we say we are without sin we are liars. This means before we get saved. When we actually repent all of our sins and forgive all we have resentments against and make a discission to never resent a person again it may be a bit much to expect. It is without Christs help. He came to die for us so that he could live in us alive and helping us have his heart. When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit we are emersed in it and washed clean of all our sin. We are also healed of all the pains of our hearts. We are given perfect peace and love in our hearts. We will not want to sin after that. We don't. We have to go to him in worship to get filled with his Holy Spirit it could be singing but it is also when we humble ourselves before him and we know and feel his presence. We need not take on resentments for others. That is where most of our sins are. We can be prideful when hurt by others but if we are we are not listening to our consciences. We are not loving Gods children and our neighbors as ourselves when we are resenting them. We can not have unforgiveness and say we are not living in sin still. Forgive like the Lord forgave you when you got saved. Jesus made a way. Jesus also gave us the greatest commandment in the days leading up to his death and resurrection. The Greatest Commandment was recorded in Matthew 22 34 to 40. This lets is walk anointed in his Holy Spirit and resist sin. We will recoil form it like a hot flame. My eyes dart away from things I shoudl not be looking at these days. I could not do that on my own. It's the helper Jesus told us he was giving us to use. The Greatest Commandment 34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Don't be miss lead...the true sabbath is the seventh day, sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. If you don't honor it, and you keep Sunday as your sabbath you are guilty of breaking the law which is sinning, not keeping the 10 commandment law.

Sin is life without Jesus. The invalid was depending on stired waters to heal him - this would be an idol, the sin of idolatry. When Jesus heals him the man goes off and doesn't even know who healed him. Jesus later find this man and then says to him those words 'go and sin no more'. After which the man proclaims that Jesus was the healer. The man then recognized Jesus is the healer, and (hopefully) not the water from that point on. Now the woman caught in the act of adultery gets the same 'go and sin no more', These as you state are the only 2 places where that phrase occurs, and it would make sense that acknowledgment of Jesus as the one who can forgive sins would be the only answer. The woman caught in the act of adultery is also interesting as it shows the act of adultery (in her case at least) as a uncondemnable sin as opposed to a forgivable sin.

The story of the woman caught in adultery is a textual variant as it turns out. Early versions of of the manuscript exclude the story. Some versions of the Luke manuscripts have it there. Since it's a variant I don't feel any need to reconcile what the text is saying anymore. That's not to say that Jesus didn't preach repentance, a turning away from sin. He did. Will we succeed 100% in not sinning by the standards that sin is defined by in the bible? No, we can't. That's been made abundantly clear throughout the NT and is considered in depth by Paul's writings.

The Bible is true and nothing was added by scribes. On occasion a single word may have been incorrectly transcribed by the septuagint from Ancient Hebrew to Greek and so on. Ancient languages were much more specific with a word meaning. For example, do a word study on the word love in the Bible. OT and NT. (Mind blowing.)The word love has many definitions. Another example; the names of those who are in the book of life might read in the tree of life. That phrase or similar is used multiple times throughout the Bible. It’s meaning is not changed. It’s all relevant to us and the singular word does not change the meaning of what you were reading and God is showing you. Because the context clues and the teachings of the sentences and chapters before and after the sentence that might be causing confusion will work together for clarity. Be careful not to pull anything out of context, keep the Book together for proper understanding. “The New Testament has been preserved in more manuscripts than any other ancient work of literature, with over 5,800 complete or fragmented Greek manuscripts catalogued, 10,000 Latin manuscripts and 9,300 manuscripts in various other ancient languages including Syriac, Slavic, Gothic, Ethiopic, Coptic and Armenian.”

Grace is Gods gift to all who truly believe the gospel. Grace is not givin to be a cloke to cover up continued sin. If you continue in sin you are deceiving yourself! If you think you can’t lose your salvation once you ask Jesus into your heart, and can return to your sinful life, and grace will cover it, your deceiving yourself! Grace is given so we can overcome sin! Not so we can get away with it! In the parable of the sower, the masters servant ( the servants Lord) that only had one talent, and buried it, was cast into outer darkness! The branches that were attached to the vine(vine = Jesus Christ) that did not produce fruit, were cut off and burned in the fire! Freewill was given to mankind, and God did not take that freewill away when we excepted the gospel of Jesus Christ! Just as the children of Israel were saved out of Egypt, and baptized in the Red Sea, yet turned back to Egypt in their hearts, and were rejected to enter the promised land. So you have the freewill to choose daily to carry your cross, and follow Jesus unto the promised eternal life. Or to turn back to serving your flesh! Therefore fear the Lord, and guard your hearts and minds, and be doers of the word, and not just hearers! Because doing what you confess you believe, is true saving faith! Not just saying you believe, but doing it! Walking daily in it! Remember Lots wife! She was being saved out of Sodom with her family, but she turned back! Fear the Lord, and depart from sin! Because those who sin, are servants of sin! And we are called to be servants of righteousness! And God gave us of his Spirit, and his grace, so we could overcome sin! Not so we can continue in it! Don’t be deceived! He who sins is of the devil! Trust Jesus, and obey his word, and go and sin no more!

It’s a life long process. We walk and live in faith and Jesus is our example. We are not expected to be sinless, it’s impossible. We should sin less as our faith grows and be changed. Perhaps the below Question and answer from Gotquestions will better explain 🙂 QUESTION What is the conflict of flesh vs. spirit? flesh vs spirit ANSWER The New Testament speaks often about the conflict between the flesh and the spirit. Sometimes the issue is complicated because it is not clear whether the human spirit is in view or God’s Holy Spirit. Sometimes the contrast is between the body with all of its physical limitations and the immaterial part of a person, but often it is between the body’s connection to the temporal world and the immaterial human spirit that has been brought to life by God’s Spirit. When Jesus wanted His disciples to pray with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane before His crucifixion, they kept falling asleep. Jesus warned them, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). People are normally dominated by the body and the temporal, physical world. Jesus told Nicodemus, “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit” (John 3:6). A person can be alive physically (in the body or the flesh) but dead spiritually. A person who has been born again by God’s Spirit is made alive spiritually (see Ephesians 2:1 and Colossians 2:13). In Romans 8, Paul contrasts those who live by the flesh with those who live by the Spirit. It is clear from the context that he is not referring to fleshly Christians and spiritual Christians but rather to those who have been born again by the Holy Spirit and those who have not. Paul says this explicitly in verse 9: “You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.” Christians are described as “those who do not live according to the flesh but according to the spirit” (verse 4). Those who are in the flesh are hostile toward God, cannot submit to God, and cannot please God (verses 7-8). This can only describe unbelievers. Paul elaborates on the conflict of flesh vs. spirit more extensively than any other New Testament writer. In Paul’s writings, the flesh stands for the natural desires of a person operating apart from God. A person who has not been raised to life spiritually is still “in the flesh.” To Paul, a person who is spiritual is one who has been born by the Spirit, even if that person will occasionally fail to live up to that reality. He warns the Galatians, “Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?” (Galatians 3:3). Once the spirit of a person has been raised to life by the Spirit of God, the old desires of the flesh do not immediately disappear. There is a battle that rages on. “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want” (Galatians 5:16-17). The person who has been brought to spiritual life-the work of the Holy Spirit within-will want to please God. But the pull of the world and temporal, physical needs and pleasures are still present. Therefore, the Christian must feed on spiritual food and continually yield to God’s Spirit on a day-by-day, minute-by-minute basis. Feeding the spirit and yielding to the Spirit are done by reading, studying, and obeying God’s Word and then availing oneself of all of the means of spiritual nourishment that the Word prescribes, such as prayer and fellowship. The more one gets into the Word, the more he or she will desire what God desires. The more a person gets into “the world,” the more he or she will desire what “the world” desires. Although Paul does not use the flesh vs. spirit motif in Colossians 3:1-2, the verses do present the same idea: “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” The strength of the Christian’s spirit’s alignment with God’s Spirit is in direct correlation to what the Christian chooses to focus on. A focus on God’s Word will cause a person to see things from His perspective and react in ways that please God. A focus on popular culture, worldly philosophy, and conventional wisdom will inevitably cause one to take the perspective of “the flesh” and will subtly or not so subtly warp his or her judgment. Living in the world, we are constantly bombarded with the values and desires of the flesh. Unless we take steps to counteract those messages, we will find ourselves out of step with the Spirit of God who lives within us.

He said, *"Come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest"* . Our forgiveness is utterly tied to our new mind. BOTH are miraculous. Stop twisting scripture for ur own means. Where in the text of walking in the spirit is defined through sinlessness? The text that says be ye perfect just as Christ is perfect does that mean we can achieve perfection.? Is that wat the chapter is saying? Throughout the entire chapter of math, 5 the context is that of love, God's greatest commandment. To treat people with love those with or without merit. Rom, 8 the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us who r in Christ he, credits to our account,. Righteousness is not of ur own doing but Christ dwelling in u. We inherited the adamic nature from birth we r all sinners. That's y only Christ could keep the law perfect because he was sinless. I can do all these things through Christ who strengthens me. Did u only pull out the text without reading the chapter to see the actual context? This is wrong . In this chapter Paul is clearly stating he has lived a rich and poor life, relying on God's strength in difficult times, and being content. , through faith. Depending on the sufficiency of Christ, to get u through good times and bad times. This has nothing to do with perfection. 1 John 1,10 If we claim that we have not sinned we call God a liar and the truth is not in us. Stop misinterpreting scripture to suit ur belief. Guys don’t come up with your own opinions and stay biblical. Listen to the video. It’s biblical and true. We are in a fallen world so it is impossible to not sin in this world. There is a difference between deliberate sin and making a mistake. You can live a holy life and that’s doesn’t mean being perfect. Only Jesus was perfect on this earth. We will only be perfect when we get to heaven. This video couldn’t of explained it better and I’m seeing “opinions” still being said in comment section that have no actual merit behind them.

While there is sincere genuineness behind the comment, we have to ask the question... "Is what you say biblical?" You say its impossible to not sin in this world, however, we see in the bible how it is possible to not continue on sinning and serving sin. So to say it is impossible is not right nor biblical. If God, as it says, can keep us from falling/stumbling then why do you say its impossible to not fall and stumble? **Who is wrong? God or you?** You also compare sin to a mistake. This could not be further from the truth. Sin is never a mistake, its always a choice you make. Sin comes after one is tempted of his own lusts to do something, and so if you give into the temptation then you will commit sin. **But if you do not give into the temptation, then you will not commit sin.** Sin is never a mistake nor do we read that one time in the bible anywhere. James explains how sin works... James 1:14-16 14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16Do not err, my beloved brethren. Galatians 5:16 16 I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and **ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.** So to stay biblical, no one can not go around saying its impossible to not sin in this world, that comes not from God, but of man. This is not me arguing negatively with you, but enlightening you on something that is possible but requires **faith and love.**

In addition to my other comment, the issue that I see that tends to cause people to think this way is that they typically don't understand how sin works and or mistake things as sin that are not sin. Some people think watching movies is sin, others think eating unclean animals are sin, the list goes on and on. So because of this way of thinking, in ignorance, they will conclude that it is impossible to stop sinning. I can appreciate this view but I think it assumes too much. Now I'm not saying I'm right but here is how I understand these passages. The first one in John 5 does seem to indicate a specific sin that if repeated could harm his body even further bringing on a worse condition. The second in John 8 To me can have two views to it. The first view could be that Jesus was referring to the 1 sin of adultery and that the woman should cease that sin not be sinless. But it could also be that Jesus said first And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; Did He have the power to forgive her of all her sins in advance of His death? As far as the Christian walk my experience has been that if God wants to deal with a specific aspect in my life He does. God doesn't deal with all my bad habits and flawed thinking all at once. He convicts me of 1 sin and then helps me to have victory over it and then at a later date something else will be brought to mind. To say that forgiveness demands that we not walk in the same rebelliousness, or that those who know God's love will naturally want to obey Him, to me is contradictory to the Gospel. When someone comes to Jesus they may have 1 or 2 things that they are convicted of and see as sin, and they seek forgiveness with. Now if it's an addiction that may take some time to break or it may be instant victory I've seen God deal in both ways. It doesn't mean that one person is more saved or more forgiven then the other it simply means God is working on each person differently. A drowning man being thrown a life preserver is still in the same water, struggling to stay above it but the person who threw the preserver is slowly pulling them to safety. Jesus forgives us for ALL our sins and whatever path we are on even if we are still struggling with sin, it doesn't change that fact. Whatever God chooses to deal with in our lives and when is up to Him. His Promises are Romans 8: For whom He foreknew, He also predestined conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Romans 10:13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” 1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe in the name of the Son of God." Philippians 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. We are forgiven immediately the moment we believe, the transformation by the renewing of our mind takes a lifetime. Christ died while we were still sinners which means that He knows all the sins we will ever commit and whatever path our lives take and whatever struggles we face He already knows and has saved us from them. I also think that there needs to be a definition of "sin". Sin as I understand it is a choice that I make that results in death. If I lie my choice to lie results in the death of trust, friendship, or integrity and I bring betrayal into the relationship which can cause emotional death to the other person. If I cheat on my wife (adultery) my choice brings death to my marriage, to trust and can emotionally scare my wife for years to come. If I overeat I bring death to my body If I work every day of the week I bring death to my body and my relationships. If I sin in anger I bring death to my family that could stay with them for their entire life. Etc. I find so many times we talk about sin without defining it, now my definition of sin may be wrong but hopefully it's clearly defined so you can understand my perspective better. We will not always love God and we will not always love others but as we walk with Jesus He will give us His love and He will transform us. I hope this helps. Take care.

The Lord didn’t mean that we cannot commit sin (John.

"SIN" is the direct result of the interplay of the Bonding-Rejection Impulses within human nature. The Bonding-Rejection Impulses constituted the emotional/mental mask worn by all created individual entities, including birds and animals. You see these impulses at work within all of nature-even within plant life. The Bonding-Rejection Impulses directed/directs the behavior towards survival of all entities in creation. There is no escaping the Bonding-Rejection Impulses. These Twin Impulses are the ephemeral source of all "worldly" comfort, pleasure, "happiness"-and also the source of all sicknesses, miseries and deprivations in the world. "SIN" is an artificial concept expediently devised by men to describe any human activity causing pain to others. Because of their natural make-up of "grabbing" from other people, and of rudely repelling them, in order to get what they want from life, it was inevitable that all human beings will, at some time, cause other human beings some form of distress or suffering. This human propensity to hurt others in no way caused "offense" to GOD-as affirmed by the Jewish and "Christian" religion. Only humankind understood the meaning of the word "sin" since only humankind and all of "creation subject to humankind," "will ever know the pain, deprivation and misery caused by the two fundamental IMPULSES of INDIVIDUALITY/PERSONALITY-Bonding-Rejection active within the humanhood. Therefore, it was man's inbuilt impulse to protect his own individuality/personality (humanhood) that made him set up rules and laws for human society. God-whose NATURE is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE-had absolutely NOTHING to do with the setting up of human restrictions, limitations, laws and judgement. While GOD is NOT the mythical God as depicted in the Old Testament, HE is the Infinitely Powerful Reality everywhere present, manifesting HIS own designing, intelligent, evolutionary, loving caring for all that HE has brought into being.

Are Christians not "with God"? Lk. 1:37 says that "with God", all things are possible. John, who should know, said Christians do no sin--I Jn. 5:18.

(He as God) Jesus admitted he was Gods son. He also said he had (a God.) So, how can he be God? Did Jesus himself not know he was God almighty? Or was he Gods son, and not God as the scriptures clearly state? Mark 14:61,62 61 But he kept silent and made no reply at all. Again the high priest began to question him and said to him: “Are you the Christ the Son of the Blessed One?” 62 Then Jesus said: “I am; and you will see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power and coming with the clouds of heaven.” John 20:17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God. Why the confusion?
