I’ve recently been learning that the best way to write a great story is to work on something that’s fun for you to write. Something you can’t wait to get back to. Great video! Thank you!

You are very welcome and I completely agree. I also would say if you are writing something you loved, but then you have a few days or weeks of disliking it, you took a wrong turn and need to go fox back and fix something. Hopefully it’s a small something.

@@E.B.Andrews That’s for sure. I know I’ve ruined plenty of stories I thought would be awesome and walked away from them instead of trying to fix them.

@@elliotkessler7271 give ‘em some time. I quit writing for maybe 6 months before I came back. Scraped the manuscript and started over for the 5th time, but I felt like I knew what I was supposed to be doing at that point. Writing is a (sometimes) enjoyable torture. You just gotta keep pushing without forcing anything… annoying as that gets.

I have listened to 30 seconds of this and paused to tell you that this is: 1. Well written by someone who obviously cares about that sort of thing. 2. The audio sounds very nice, and well balanced. 3. It’s neither over performed nor boring. May the next eleven and a half minutes be just as enjoyable as the first 30 seconds.

I hope they didn’t disappoint. Thank you for your support!

The youtube back rooms have produced a good essay that nobody knows about, how odd. Have the word "cookie" as a reward. I will say prose is a perfectly wonderful thing to praise.

Never thought about it but it really is crazy how effective they've made the connection between the player and the characters in this game with barely any story and no character development but also how well loved and revered this game is. It's almost like a song with no lyrics, without a word, it'll make you cry.

That is an insanely good analogy, my dude.

I blame a lot of who I am today on watching Agro fall. But shenaynay survived!

I've loved this game since I was a kid (I'm 26 now). My brother and I played it together on our PS2 and still have it! 😍 We played it again a couple of years ago and it still holds up. What a great game 🥰

Maybe I’m just old, but games don’t hit like this anymore. I’ll listen to the soundtrack for the nostalgia.

@@E.B.Andrews This game in particular is quite unique, though. It's not the type of game for which you can find a dupe. That speaks of its originality 🤩And yes, the soundtrack is a beauty!

I am not sure if you made a video on this yet, but, can you make a video on Descriptive Writing? I often time find myself struggling to find the right combination of words to describe certain scenes, objects, or really anything. Accurately conveying to a reader how scary, beautiful, bland, or weird something looks, smells, tastes, feels, or sounds is something I noticed I need to improve upon. I figured out that it comes down to using at least Two of the Five human senses to describe something. But I'm not entirely sure.

Definitely. I’ll need to read maybe…. Eh, I have a few ideas. I can maybe pull from Dune, LotR, Harry Potter and… Mistborn?
@KingJamerson-lo5wv6 ай бұрын
@@E.B.Andrews Perfect choices! Except for Mistborn... Have no clue what it is or what it is about...
