I've lasered my whole beard and i look 10x better and confidence insanely spiked up, it turned out to how i always anticipated it. honestly dwelling on it that much is unnecessary there is people out there doing crazy work with face surgeries and what not its really incomparable to just removing unwanted hair , shouldn't feel ashamed for wanting to achieve a certain look anyway. great video tho much love man

How was your experience bro? I am also thinking about doing this laser treatment to remove my beards permanently, I can't tolerate these beards pricking when they grow every week , nor I want to groom over and over, I literally hate beards on me

more power to you brother, being worried of something about yourself is truly something which eats you up from inside, happy to see you winning the battle over the intrusive thoughts

I have been in this Country for 25 years. I have to tell I never hid my identity as a Muslim. I may have been discriminated, maybe three times openly, and maybe five times covertly. So I can tell you there is really no practical racism in the USA. I and my family have never seen it. I have had interactions with thousand upon thousands of people over the years, and never experienced it.
@umar_n38 ай бұрын
yeah, even i started to grow my beard out because it is obligatory for muslims and most interactions i have are just normal, sometimes you get looks from people and maybe sometimes you feel like you get treated differently but with these hardships Allah will reward you even more for following the rules of Islam, don't try to hide who you are or be affected by what others seemigly think.
@rootedwithsami8 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience. It's heartening to hear you haven't faced overt discrimination as a Muslim in the US. To clarify, this video is not related to Islamophobia. An image was mistakenly used that might have alluded to it, but I was on a 10 day retreat when the video was posted and wasn't aware of the final edit. That image has since been removed as it detracted from the message I'm trying to convey. The shame surrounding my beard, which led me to remove it, stems from a much deeper, personal place, unrelated to my faith. While I may share more details in the future at a time where I feel ready, this video focuses on overcoming internalized shame at a higher level, regardless of its origins.

Question: How did your beard hair grow back after the lasers?
@rootedwithsami8 ай бұрын
Laser hair removal significantly reduces hair growth, but it's not always 100% permanent. Multiple sessions, sometimes spaced out over time, are often needed for the best results. I still have patches in my beard and under my chin that's harder to see. Also the density of the beard significantly decreased.
@elef9517 ай бұрын
a male model told me beard laser removal is not permanent like the other body parts,it will regrow after 1 -3 months no matter the sessions
@artemitkuchinov5 ай бұрын
Is it really permanent? I heard first is is needed to do some treatments and beard stops growing, but next you need one supporting treatment once a year to be smooth-faced. But if you stop treatments, is beard patchy or it after some times become even?
@rootedwithsami2 ай бұрын
@@artemitkuchinov In my experience, getting laser hair removal made my beard very patchy for a long time until my beard started growing back
@davelezewski186823 күн бұрын
I lasered mine too and i regret it , how long did it take to grow yours back and how many sessions did you have ?
@rootedwithsami7 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience so honestly. I know it can be frustrating, but there’s definitely hope-our bodies can surprise us. For me, after six sessions, it took about 7-8 years for my beard to grow back mostly full, and even before that, I noticed patches starting to return over time. Hang in there, and be patient with yourself through the process. Also, if you feel up to it, take some time to reflect on what was happening internally when you made the decision to laser your beard. Sometimes those deeper insights can offer clarity and healing in unexpected ways. Wishing you the best on your journey!

why did you initially want to get rid of your beard?
@rootedwithsami8 ай бұрын
My father has transformed significantly, and I'm proud of the person he's become. I don't want to speak ill of him, but the truth is, his past actions caused deep pain for my family. The physical abuse we endured left lasting wounds. As I got older, I desperately wanted to distance myself from that part of my life. When I started growing a beard, it triggered something deep and I found disgust in myself. I associated the beard with shame and the hurt. He carried a beautiful long beard that seemed to mask wounds. I'm sharing this so that it can help someone who has gone through a similar circumstance.

@@Wfos2785 I’d say there’s a solid chance it can grow back over time, especially if you stop after just 4 sessions. Hope that helps.

How the f did you bear grew back if you performed a laser hair "REMOVAL"..??
@rootedwithsamiАй бұрын
Not sure if you’ve tried laser hair removal or not, but it’s more about reduction than permanent removal. It definitely did a great job of reducing the hair overall, especially in those first few years. Over time (this was over 10 years ago), some hair grew back, but my beard is still patchy, especially under my chin. So while laser is super effective, it’s not always a one and done deal (even after 6 treatments). Hope that clears it up.

The decisions we make as a result of past experiences, especially from childhood, can reflect deep wounds. I get the comical analogy you're trying to make. Wishing you the best on your journey.
