Sir CGPA must be calculate with only HEC formula. Because it is very unfair to count merit on two different formulas of CGPA. Let me explain you with a practical example. If a student have DMC with both CGPA and percentage then let suppose he/she is having 3.80 CGPA and percentage on the DMC is approximately 85.16%. While other student have only CGPA on DMC and scoring 3.74 but according to your formula this is equal to 100%. A huge difference sir. Means according to 1st formula 3.80 CGPA ≈ 85.16% But according to 2nd formula 3.74=100%. 🙌

Sir, colleges are confused by this both percentage and cgpa formulas. They are putting wrong percentage (that is marks percentage which has nothing to do with final cgpa) from DMC instead of calculating cgpa according to given hec formula. Please only calculate merit according to one formula that is HEC give CGPA formula which can solve most of the issue.

PM Citizen Portal is the solution for just and clearcut merit...Same Policy should be adopted for all...Simply where there is CGPA there should be one and only HEC Formula...No need to pursue seperate methodologies for only CGPA-carrying DMC's and CGPA-%age-carrying DMC's.

I was CTI for 2021-22and 2022-23sessions. My merit was same as previous. Your marking criteria calculated my merit right for previous 2 sessions but not this time. My documents are exactly the same. So how can you say that we made an error. It is your portal that was not calculating the merit and percentage correctly. You used wrong formula to calculate CGPA to percentage. I have gone to principals to address the issue of multiple positions. Some of them said only masters position will be considered, some said only bachelor position will be considered. what if one student has a CGPA and %age of the CGPA and on the other hand one student has a CGPA and %age of marks which are never shown on the transcript then what formula should be followed?
