How Should We Spend Our Tithe?

My fiancé and I are partners with CBN and a number of other ministries. We are not wealthy but love to help others. What we give as members, and to help beyond our membership amount, we consider our tithe. We will figure our income and tithe accordingly, sometimes waiting from one payday to the next to be able to send more. In doing this, are we tithing properly, or should we be giving immediately to our church to stay within God's will. We love being blessed to help others, but don't want to take control away from God.

I think the right answer to "How Should We Spend Our tithe" is... 1. There's no such thing as a biblical tithe on earned wages. To what "tithe" are you referring to? 2. Tithing under Mosaic Law was systematic and specifically described as to who paid, who received, and what was received. That law is now obsolete. 3. Tithing items were not amended at any point in the bible. If we were to "tithe" today as under Mosaic Law we would have to move to Israel, find Levites to give the tithe to, and become some sort of farmer or a herdsman. Only items of the land (produce and livestock) were accepted as a tithe.

Give 10% to the lost and needy for God’s glory. I’m tired of giving to the blessed and the saved. I’ve given $1,000’s to Churches where the pastor lived in the best house and drove the best cars, when the congregation was poor. I’m so over that! There are millions who are physically and spiritually hungry... feed them.

This elderly man doesn't always answer questions good enough for me. As old as he is, he should know to tell that married couple to pay their tithes to the church they are a member of first. Afterwards, if they desire to sow a seed in other ministries or give a guest Evangelist, Minister, Pastor, etc. a love offering that is Okay. Also, give a Sunday School offering too on Sunday if you attend Sunday School. Somewhere between $2.00-$10.00 is good amount for Sunday School offering. But, always tithe from your gross and not your net pay💲. "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it"(Malachi 3:10)

Greetings no one is required to bring a holy tithe according to Ma 3:10 because the "holy tithe" was just what GOD declared "holy" in 27:30 ...... You can however still bring a freewill offering of secular cash 10% .Heres the scripture Pat mentioned: Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.1cor9:7.
