HOW SHOULD You Cut Your Jeep XJ's Fenders?

All those cuts are going to rust! That is not the right way to do it! If you heat the paint with a heat gun before you bend the metal, it won’t crack like that!

@@FreeznOffRoad well, rather than bend all those pieces under like you have, I would cut them off one at a time and stitch weld the join between the outside panel and the inner wheel well panel as you go along. Then you can just clean up the welds and paint em. I know it’s a lot more work but it’s the correct way to do it if you want it to last.

@@FreeznOffRoad yes, that’s true. There are plenty of people who have done it the way you did but a lot of those cars are already beaten up. Yours is a lot nicer, so it would be worth doing it right.

They are just cut and folded stock fenders (Edit) just fixed it... lol🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
