There's approximately 228,000 personnel in the Police department here in the Philippines. It's sad how a very FEW corrupt and idiotic police officers are damaging the face of the Police due to sensationalized reporting by the media making people scared of them. When you say there's a lot of cases like this, how many are those cases? and what percentage are those cases when compared to the actual count of the Police?

For everyone who's not familiar with the Philippines. It was never the "Boga". The cop is using an excuse to arrest the guy and possibly summary executes him on the way to the police station under the pretense of "he fought back" (this is very common here in PH to a person to be killed by a cop while detained or while on the way and they will cover it up by saying he tried to grab my gun or fought back). That's why you're seeing how much the mother is fighting to not let the cop take Frank. HE WILL BE KILLED either way. You are right, the cop already has "intentions" and just waiting for the opportunity and that day, the sound of the "Boga" is his opportunity - he was out for blood that day.

Omg, yall know this too? This case was very famous back then, and actually, up until now, this shooting incident happened here in the Philippines. That police officer was so heartless and so evil to the bone. This was caused by her daughter, that's why many Filipino people also hate and blame her. In the video, you'll notice the daughter was not even fazed when his dad did that in front of her, as if she's used to it. It is sad to say, but the father's sin will be forever carried by his daughter and wife. To think that the old lady just sings jokingly, not knowing what will happen next. 23:32 Your little story of the hand sanitizer brought back a deep lost memory back and I’m so happy I remember this now! My siblings and I wanted to try and do spit balls but couldn’t get it right enough to cause any of the chaos we wanted and then we had an idea, the apartment we lived in was overly tall, like we were poor af and the fact we found an adult with an upstairs at a reasonable price was incredible but we quickly realized it was so cheap because of the stupid ass vaulted ceiling, it made the place look fancy but this shit was so tall we couldn’t clean the ceiling fan unless we asked the maintenance guy if we could use his giant ladder, we lived there for 12 years and the first year the over head light went out we never replaced it because everyone was scared of heights and it was basically 2 stories up. Because of it had insane electricity bills because heating and cooling, vaulted ceilings can be so cool and look amazing if done right but this was comedically tall. So my siblings and I looked up from the stairs railing and all knew what to do, we got a bucket and 5 rolls of toilet paper, balled up some toilet paper dunked it into the water and then we threw them as hard as possible at the ceiling, now we knew they would stick but we didn’t know for how long and we through many up there and we were so happy every time someone fell victim to them, however half of them were taking a long long time, 11 years later they were still on the ceiling. They might still be there actually, our neighbor befriended the people who moved it and updated us on if the toilet paper was still there until she moved 3 years later. So I know they were there for at least 14 years.
@jenniesworld30 Жыл бұрын
My cousin did that too when he was a kid. Everytime he used their bathroom he would throw wet tissues that he roll into a ball at the ceiling. But everytime he did that, he was always scolded by his mom because after he used the bathroom his mom always check it if he did nasty things there. So in the end, he always cleaned the ceiling to get rid of the wet tissues.

As someone from the Philippines and with a father who is also a policeman, this entire case has certainly heightened the stigma around policemen. My father is genuinely one of the nicest and most selfless people, and I'm not even trying to exaggerate because he truly is. However, this murder has made people wary, not only of him but also of me! Hopefully, fewer individuals like that person will be accepted into the police department :(

Ganito kase yan. For example. There's 13 region in the Philippines, if there's a police who killed someone in every region they would be reported in the news and people would conclude that it's not safe to be here in the Philippines due to police brutality BUT if you would really think about it, how many is that? it's only THIRTEEN(13) corrupt and idiotic police and there's approximately about 200,000+ personnel in the PNP all around the Philippines. Do you see how a sensationalized media reporting can damage an organization that even me can call your father untrustworthy and potentially a corrupt police by saying "defund the police, mga walang silbi at mamamatay tao".

The old lady wasn't "singing" 2NE1's I DON'T CARE.. At that time accounts were getting redtagged and deleted then eventually targets of the government. Anyone who spoke out againts the administration would have to go an unjustifiable consequence. I remember seeing the video all over twitter and the immense pain and sadness I felt. I remember my sisters and I crying about this case and how helpless I felt because it was the height of the pandemic and we wanted so bad to do something for the victima family. And the worst part of it all, the comrades of that police officer went on national television and his commanding officer was "scolding him" in front of a camera. THE WHOLE THING FELT SO FAKE. So scripted. So INGENUINE. Thank you for bringing light back to this injustice... Never forget Sonia and Frank.

@@astherine The real darkest moments in our history is when we were colonized under Spanish rule with a lot of injustices, civil wars and such, not to mention Philippine-American War killing 20,000 Filipinos and the Japanese occupation that killed an estimated 527,000 Filipinos, both military and civilians, had been killed from all causes; of these between 131,000 and 164,000 were killed in seventy-two war crime events and how the Drug industry fucked up our nation. I think your biased judgement is based towards your hatred against the Duterte Administration who handled such matters in a very pragmatic way, and your idealistic brain won't accept the fact that when the past administrations before DU30 Admin were not effective in handling such matters and just basically give up and let things go out of hand, there is already an influx of drugs and drug related crimes killing innocent people by addicts, turf wars and drug dealers not paying their due to drug lords. It's easy to empathize/sympathize innocent people, It's always inevitable that there are innocent people as collateral, and cops who are corrupt. DU30 Administration was effective but messy at the same time, i wish we had a better and effective way however we don't have the luxury to provide such systems/infrastructures in Winning the Drug War, sadly political oppositions are just using Liberal Idealistic kids for their own benefit for their Candidate. In this case, with Sonia and Frank, It's definitely this Cops fault, i hope justice is served, i'm not so sure how this shit becomes political now, even before Du30s incident there has always been corrupt cops... I wish Sonia and Frank RIP, and wish there family members well. Tbh, when I saw the raw video surfacing across facebook, I was bewildered by the fact that they can just commit such an act and walk off as if nothing horrible just happened. I was awake the whole night as the video keeps replaying in my mind. Until now, everytime I hear the song, I can't help but also remember the murder of aling sonya and her son.

I’m 13, with an abusive father. (I’m currently suing him for assault). And the little girl knows very well it’s going on. She is NOT a victim.

There's also a rumor that he was actually executed by a group of vigilantes who got access inside.

Actually, I kinda get the war on drugs especially with people agreeing that addicts are very dangerous. Most of criminals had used drugs before doing crimes and I get why many supported Duterte for that. The problem is there will be innocent people who'll get involved or framed. I personally believe that some of those who executed people weren't really appointed by the President but rather, they were killed for personal reasons and they just made it look like it's part of the war on drugs...

War abt lands is so prevalent here in the Philippines like even families break up fighting over land

If you really understand the language and the context without all the over dramatization. The reason everyone on the Philippines hated the kid when this happened was because she was the main reason the old lady and the guy died. She escalated the situation 10× more than it already was. Everyone knew that if she didnt but in both sonya and her son would still be alive. That kid was spoiled screaming her fathers status and when sonya replied with the song that was when the father shot them. So the main reason actually was the kid the father would never have shot those 2 if it werent for the kid.

Everyone says she's thirteen, she has reason to be stupid, but I was thirteen and I was taking care of my family, cooking, cleaning, and understood morals (I actually started doing all of that at the age of 8). She didn't cause the situation, but she did chose to irresponsible. If she was 6, I'd understand not understanding, but once you hit 8 you understand morals, what's acceptable and what is expected of you. She shouldn't be bullied, but she knew what she did and that there would be consequences. Stop acting like teenagers can't understand that there are consequences to their actions. They might not know the exact consequence to occur, but they know when something is going to result in something bad. Teenagers are not retarded, inexperienced, but not retarded.

For context, they were arguing about trespassing til' the old lady expressed her thought about the situation by singing "I don't care" by 2ne1 and that seemed to trigger the cop and then boop bop skritittiddy pop.

Man I love how authentic you react to these type of things. You bring up a lot of good points and you talk about it just how me and mine would. To some comments and others who disagree with not bashing the 13 yr old daughter... "she's 13 she knows right from wrong" I plead for y'all to look into actual psychology and science of the teenage brain. She doesn't have the brain capacity like actually, the physical brain chemistry to predict the consequences of any of her actions in that situation. And she was raised by a corrupt power hungry police officer who literally killed people before. Her sense of right and wrong, her moral compass is NOT IN ANY WAY the same as most peoples. That's taught by family and society. And when society bows down to the power of your family and their wrong ways, you see those actions as right. She was a brat who was raised by an evil pos. That doesn't mean full grown ass adults should be juvenile and vile to her over the internet and a whole country should hate her like

This is true. Before the drug war campaign, it is much scarier to go out late at night, criminal cases are a lot more common. Those were reduced, I felt more complaisant even when I walk alone late at night. It's just that, there are really just rotten people whatever job they have.

I hate how people think that for example 9-13 year olds have a mindset of a baby. THEY DO NOT, They are literally fully conscious. People tend to assume when a 1 year old commits a crime, they are "just a child!". No.

Its astonishing to hear the reason he decided to try and take the son was because of a boga, which many kids and people use especially when newring festivities. I dont know how he thought it was a mockery to him but then again hes crazy (pointing to his record of homicide but never got caught) because heck its one month away from christmas and people here are releasing fire works and the kids are noisy as heck with their toy trumpets. He just used that as an excuse to kill.

We are currently on that kind of situation where you have to wait for others to get the deed of the land you brought, and it usually doesnt have a set date the people who buys the land get to set the date because if one person can't buy the land others will have to do something about it (e.g make the original buyer to give up the land and find someone to buy it instead). Trust me one year is not enough to finish that contract we still haven't got ours and its been like what 6 years? 😂 so I don't know why this man got so angry at her.

Sad our country is good but just like any country their are really people who are sooooo evil to do these things.

This goes to show how police brutality is becoming a real problem everywhere. These policemen are forgetting they are PUBLIC SERVANTS. They are here to protect and serve not to project, threaten, and be feared. The police here in the Philippines are as close to a gang as you can get since they see it as being in a brotherhood. I remember being in the McDonald's parking lot and seeing a car and two motorcycles pulling up to this kid who's probably just 13 sitting on the drive-thru curve. Since they were in a parking lot with people watching, they were intentionally making their voices loud and saying the kid had drugs. These men are not wearing uniforms and not even in patrol vehicles. by this time, they are already dragging this kid to their car while screaming these guys planted the drug on him. when the kid got in their car, I just had to ask the 2 guys on the motorcycle if they were real police and if they could show me a badge or ID or something (which they are incentivized to do). I was threatened and asked to go to the office with them if I had a question. Like bruh, why would I go with you if you can't even prove you're the police? I was obligated to ask because that city had a reputation for missing kids. These MFs need to get their asses out of their head. AND BTW. Boga is so common and harmless that I'm 90% sure that even these police officers used these as kids. It's not a big deal, never was.
