How slow is the TTC 903 Kennedy-Scarborough Centre Express? (2023 Edition)

After the closure of TTC Line 3 Scarborough RT, the 903 Kennedy-Scarborough Centre Express is now in operation as an alternative route. But the question is how slow is the 903 when you compare it to the defunct Line 3?

I have several subway/streetcar/bus route comparisons I want you to do. 1: Line 1 Yonge-University from Union to Finch vs. bus route 320 Yonge from Yonge and Front to Yonge and Finch. 2: Line 2 Bloor-Danforth from vs. bus route 300 Bloor-Danforth from Kipling to Kennedy. 3: Line 4 Sheppard vs. bus route 85B Sheppard East from Don Mills to Sheppard Yonge. 4: 510 Spadina or 509 Harbourfront from Queen’s Quay and Spadina to Union Station vs. shuttle buses. 5: 512 St Clair streetcar vs. replacement buses. 6: Any subway route portion that is closed vs. the shuttle buses that run in its place. 7: Any comparison between normal bus routes and express bus routes. 8: Any comparison between normal bus routes and special shuttle buses for special events like the Caribbean Carnival.

Which is exactly why I visited Scarborough once since the closure. Buses on the route are too slow and take about twice as long

It's going to be a rough several years for residents of Scarborough. The bus is doing its best, but the bus cannot operate at the same speeds of the SRT. Even if they dedicate rapid bus lanes, that will take several years from start to finish. Scarborough really should have world-class transit service. Lawrence, Sheppard, Finch, Kennedy, would all benefit from LRT lines in that area.

Different Express buses have different average spee. In Metro Vancouver it varies from 20 km/hr to 70 km/hr

I miss mine 3 every day now cause now there always Over Crowded which is a fucking Pain get some LFSA buses at least to run the 903 route cause I can’t stand with over crowded smaller buses on 903 like Fuck

To drive from eglinton to Lawrence now takes on average 20 minutes with only one lane RIDICULOUS 😊 then to boot people parking in the bus lanes make it worse construction at Lawrence doesn't help either 😊 then the self entitled people who drive in the bus lanes hold up traffic as they expect you to let them in

When i took the 903 before the Line 3 farewell the driver was going 20 km/h most of the route. Quite slow.

It was outdated and breaking down and a derailment was the coupe du grace for it.
