0.40 'Seek' means the OPPOSITE of 'finding' something - it means 'look for'. That was a nice example the guy gave, once he'd sorted out that they were talking about 'seek' not 'Sikh'. He said, 'you mean like hide and seek?' In Linguistics, always give an example, and the more colloquial the better.

The way the questions are asked is confusing. It's the past tense OF seek, not the past tense FOR seek.

Sometimes when asking the question, the wrong preposition is used which changes the meaning of the question or makes it difficult to understand. "Whats the past tense *of* seek? (Sought btw) The past tense *for* seek makes it difficult for these people to understand; it's like asking "What is 30% *for* 30?" It almost sounds like a trick question 🤝🏾
