But than tell me how most ppl watching it are the typical socially gullible people Black mirror has good themes but clearly its not driving the point home enough Probably because viewers are too sensory overloaded to have a proper reaction to things Maybe thats the reason for the rise of react content? People not being adept at having genuine reactions and conclusions on theirnown because our brain has been made to not bother with things for over 30 seconds

It is now...it's by design and intentional by those who actually know themselves and how weak-minded and fragile people are these days. Controlling the population is only becoming easier for them and no one cares, they only care how many likes they get and how many people comment in the fake network they created. It's sad, and what's worse is it's too late. People are addicted and attached with zero desire to break free and be their real self and live an actual life. It's scary and pathetic.

29:51 Bro is right. Women are just people. Don't put them on a pedestal. Just be yourself. Don't pretend to care about all the bullshit that you don't care about because they can _feel_ it subconsciously and it's a huge turn off regardless of what they actually say or think. And never get too hung up on one girl. Unwanted clingers are the worst turn off. Young dude's biggest problems are either they don't know who they are themself or they can't accept themselves for who they are and so they try to pretend to be someone or something else.

Nah, people change all the time. Don't even focus on knowing yourself. Just relax and act around them like you would act around guys. Learn to be flirty with girls you like but do it in more comedic manner and see how they react. If they know if you like them anyway and usually give hints or respond to flirty jokes back with another flirty joke. IF they don't laugh or didn't get the joke then move on and put them into the "friendzone". Aka stop trying them. That is pretty safe method to see does girl like you or not.

If you crave or need acceptance from other people, you don't accept yourself and you should work on that. How you feel about yourself is infinitely more important, and if you're true to yourself you'll attract the right people who like you for you and foster honest relationships. If you derive your self worth from others you'll never become the best you, and it'll only end with you being alone, and uncertain about who you really are.

It was awful, and it wasn’t until I completely stopped using Insta and just focused on the experience that I realized I was comparing myself into my depressive spiral (I have severe depression and anxiety so this was like lifting tons of weight off my shoulders) and now I’m more honest with myself and my friends. Not sure if anybody is aware of this, but in China they use a similar system. For many years now. Only difference is, the government is rating the citizens. By their performance in work, social interactions etc. I think they have a point system of some sort. Having less than accepted amount of points can get you prohibited from using public services and suffer other penalties. I remember an interview with someone who got reported by their neighbours because of their dog. Poor guy could not use the regional railways for months. Could not visit their family. It is not fiction anymore and it's scary how unuware and numb our societies are.

The flaw with the Black mirror social media logic they use is that. If people are treating you badly because of your low social score. Then the people who are acting poorly to others would be getting negative reviews from those with the low social scores. If anything this system would encourage others to treat everyone better. For fear of getting a poor social score. This negating the poor treatment based on the social score.

The main thing Asmon missed with the onlyfans girls is that, most normal guys don't want to date a girl that is putting herself online like that or doing sexwork. The reason they have those types of boyfriends is because those are the guys willing to accept her lifestyle. Sexwork in particular is a major reason hot girls who do it can't find guys you think they should be equal to status wise. Those are hard relationships to navigate. While it is true some of it is about these guys making excuses, it's more complicated than that. It's generally the case that people who do only fans , especially sexwork related stuff, struggle maintaining any relationships at all. Even with other people who do it, they run into issues.

There a a myriad of reasons for it as well. The social consequences and stigma associated with that sort of work, the psychology effects and change that inflicts on someone, etc. As much as I wish them happiness, I'd strongly recommend that no one goes into that sort of work, because it just has a bad effect on them and their lives. IMO the money for doing so just isn't worth it unless you are going to starve to death, just like how chopping of your hand isn't worth it for any amount of money, but even then just finding a single sugar daddy/momma is much better for your wellbeing if you plan to sell yourself for money. I'd also never recommend anyone I know to enter into a serious relationship with a person working in that field for the same reasons it's bad to work in that field. It's just destructive towards the individual.

Social media is also very good for giving people away to access support groups in like-minded individuals - yes I can be bad but if you're saying a minority in a group that doesn't really like what you are and you have to pretend to be something else, you can really help people be able to know that they're not alone. If you're a kid whose parents don't believe in therapy or mental health and think that bullying you will just make you better, social media could literally be a lifeline. I think well the ability to connect with like-minded people can undeniably be a negative, it is also undeniably a positive as well.

I think treating women well is a start, might not work on all of us but will work on enough. 9 years ago I met a narcissistic psychopath at work and his life mantra was the opposite of treating women well, basically destroying your reputation overnight and knocking you off your high pedestal, believed women are only into jerks etc. Probably not dissimilar from what happens to the main character having a fall from grace caused by her high school bully. We just have covert/online bullies knocking someone down. Will check out this episode.

So true, I have been telling this to my friends who aren't successful with women for long time. Just get female friends and be honestly their friend without any ulterior motives. That's how you learn to talk with women and become more charismatic around them. So many guys become total weird creeps near women and totally lack self-awareness how much that actually undermines their attempts to hit on women. It's not about their look, height, money or even d-size (you need to get in the bed in the first place for them to find out your size). Seen how women dismiss tall good looking guys just because they don't know how to talk or act.

So many people say they’ve completely erased their social media accounts… Yet they comment this on KZbin videos lol. KZbin is a media sharing site. It’s 100% considered social media, no matter how much certain people want to deny it. You’re involved with social media by having and using a KZbin account.

One of the best Black Mirror episodes for sure. I left FB a year ago. Couldn't be happier. I have a small number of people I follow on Twitter that I find useful for info and I go on IG once in a while, but my entire feed is tattoo artists and music lol.

15:23 you know the weirdest thing about the dudes at the bottom of the Totem Pole? They were often the most happy. Like they didn’t give 2 shits, they were content. None of the social pressure they just had fuckin fun. So who was winning really?

You're projecting a little. You just don't associate with those groups because you don't share similar interests doesn't mean they don't exist. A ton of people at the bottom don't like it. Look at certain parts of the incel and mgtow communities for an easy example. Ten of thousands of people in those groups.

Basketball is not a 1v1 game, and I think GOAT conversations should occur within that context. Matchups matter, teammates matter, and VORP mattes. 1. Which player would achieve the most if you took them and surrounded them by a team of completely league average players? (my answer is Lebron) 2. Which player would achieve the most if you surrounded them with league average players plus a random second star player? (my answer is Jordan) 3. Which player would be the #1 pick if you were drafting all NBA players who ever lived and were going have them for their entire career? (my answer is Lebron) 4. If you were constructing a team players to play against aliens for the fate of the universe and you could pick one NBA player to lead the team, who do you pick? (my answer is Jordan) 5. If there was a schoolyard draft of all the NBA players in history to make two teams that will play each other once -and you have the first pick- who do you pick? (my answer is Curry) Five is definitely my controversial take - I just think the unique skillset of Curry gives him a uniquely high value over replacement if you're playing with a full squad of all-time greats. The drop-off from Jordan to to Lebron (or reversed if you think Lebron is the GOAT) is not as impactful as Curry's unique shooting and spacing skillset vs the second best shooter you could take in that slot. This is basically the same argument as the ancient "Is Dennis Rodman the GOAT" argument, only Steph is a vastly more skilled player

Acceptable times to take a picture of your food: 1. You just hunted and killed the "soon to be dinner" (void if the animal is on the endangered or threatened list). Bonus points if you dress the animal yourself. 2. You're 11 years old, and just baked your first birthday cake for a friend or relative. If you routinely take photos of your food, know that most people think you're a complete tool, and secretly hope the food in question contains a toxic substance.

There's no need to be so extreme. Ofc I'm not gonna take a photo of normal stuff I cook at home, but if I go to a really good restaurant and the food is well presented then why wouldn't I?

These "social media apocalypse problems" were always so alien to me. I've had social media since I'm 6 and all I see is what my friends are up to. At the end of the day it's just a piece of software... if it doesn't make your life better, you're simply using it wrong.

Problem is that since you had it since 6 you had at most 2 years of non online interactions filtered into it in life. Social media is normal in your perspective but can be wildly unhealthy since we never evolved to deal with it. Even if you are fine now just wait until later

What I do and what I try to get my friends to do is constantly look at themselves in 3rd person. Like think of your emotions and why you’re feeling them while looking at a screen and in the 3rd person you can see how ridiculous it is. Especially try to do this with the poor guys who are addicted to onlyfans type subscriptions. Like look at yourself from and outside view and go outside and make some real social connections

I've taken pictures of my food once in a rare while, but it's usually been because either 1) I was asked what the food from my Country looks like or 2) because it's the first time I've tried a new baking recipe and I like the way it turned out and want to show the friends I have that also like baking. The only other time was when I filmed a recipe I technically made myself though I'm like 99.9% certain that most people know it since it's just a home made milkshake, but since I had someone not nderstand what I meant, I filmed making a milkshake so they'd be able to copy the recipe.
