He made a point to talk about that but then threw out the legal liability concerns and said people should be de-platformed for doing things like inciting violence...which Shaun King actually directly did and said that the BLM riots and the violence occurring at them was good. He didn't think Shaun King needed to be de-platformed though and didn't "give a fuck" about Shaun King who did worse. Equal application of the law in all it's forms, not just by each law but all laws needs to be the cornerstone of the justice system and Asmongold doesn't suggest that and even at points seems to say that it shouldn't be the case. It's important to understand the difference between Civil and Criminal court. Alex Jones can't be put in prison for saying such things just like you couldn't be put in prison over refusing to pay for something you broke or someone breaching their contract. But you can be found liable for damages and have a judgement against you in a civil court. No jail time because it's not criminal, but you can be banned from doing something like speaking about something or having to pay back damages.
@egggge47522 жыл бұрын
He was also banned from youtube for hate speech (which only exists for private companies) but was sued for SPECIFICALLY calling the parents actors. Saying the n word does not cause material damages to an individual and you cant be sued for it but accusing someone of something is not free speech.
@squidzy39182 жыл бұрын
What if you don’t pay the fine? Can you go to jail for failing to pay? Eventually all roads lead to jail time.
@Ludonomics2 жыл бұрын
@@squidzy3918 You can't to to jail for failing to pay, the person you are supposed to pay can however request an execution of the order which basically means that law enforcement will go and seize money or property owed to you. This can be done through subpoena to banks to find assets or simply knowing what they own. And then physically seizing them or having those financial institutions give the money they hold. I suppose it could end in jail time if they tried to physical bar the law enforcement from executing the seizure but that would be something like obstruction of justice. It's fairly common for these judgements to require law enforcement to execute them when the defendant doesn't pay voluntarily.
@Ludonomics2 жыл бұрын
I should say that if all that fails then he could go to jail if he obfuscates what he owns or tries to hide it from whoever is executing the order that would civil contempt. But that's very rare and you would have to show that he was like maliciously hiding his assets or such. still though, it's highly unlikely and more likely that he would declare bankruptcy if he really is broke, if not then they'll just seize what he owns.
@Faladrin2 жыл бұрын
You can be put in prison for refusing to pay for something you broke. But to be fair to your comment let's assume you mean an accidental breakage and not vandalism (which is immediately a crime already). If you get sued because your broke something and are ordered to pay restitution and you refuse to do so, you are violating a court order. You can go to jail for that. It's maybe not as direct a cause as you mean, but a->b->c and c is jail, so yeah. You can go to jail for not paying for something you broke.

42:06 In the interview Alex Jones even said himself that nothing would/could stop him unless they put him in prison. The financial aspect has nothing to do with whether he puts on a show, only if he has access to a camera.
@Yatukih_0012 жыл бұрын
He is trying to scare the audience. He does not care what you think about regarding the truth about what happened in Sandy Hook. Alex Jones is a pseudonym which belongs to an actor. The actor does what he is told to do. He only answers to those who tell him what to do. This includes what scripts to read from when he is on an Infowars show. If the people behind Alex Jones decide to legend him and we start hearing news about an imprisonment or an assassination or something like that it is going to be another staged event. He does exactly the same crap as Russel brand does. The technique he uses is simple. When he raises his hands and raises the tone of his voice, the person watching him will do the same when arguing with another person. As Lord Cinder says ´I love how in this interview Alex Jones´power level was immediately revealed´. That is the trick. Alex Jones the character was created to be a martyr. The idea was that once he would be legended huge numbers of Americans and British people and Canadians would rise up and there would be complete chaos. The legending process would then be used to increase prices belonging to products associated with Infowars, like Alex Jones mugs. The martyr character is meant to have an expanded power level and is described as an above average person. So once he is legended people who are like him are then told they are above average to level up their arrogance. You do not want me to tell you that Sandy Hook was for real or that it was a hoax. That is all your opinion and I respect that. But he wants us to fight over it, independently of what opinions we have about it.
@tekkenjam2 жыл бұрын
easy of you to dismiss it as vanity because that would comfortably fit your narrative. The truth Is he does it because he passionately believes people should be free and the government doesnt want that. That alone is enough to stay committed for someone who actually has character. Except it's only going to enforce the precedent on the opposing side. Just like in Nazi Germany. The American patriots are now the enemy of the state. Official FBI documents exposed that patriot rebel symbols and sayings are now red flags for "domestic terrorism". This is happening because patriots know the truth and are willing to fight for it.

I watched an entire video that was an hour and a half long completely dispelling all of the news footage of the sandy hook shooting. Now when you try to look it up or anything against sandy hook you can’t find it. The only thing I can find now are court videos. Things that were dispelled in the video were the pictures of the school that weren’t even what the school looks like, the people milling in and out of the gym are the same people walking around (you can see the same jacket that the guy who took the kids off the bus, sat them down, talked the situation out with them about the shooting after he gave them his grandson’s toys), the parents interviews were unbelievable, photos of the kids were stolen from people’s Facebook pages of their children saying that they were sandy hook victims (when this came out the took all the pictures off the website), and there’s more.. When you make things one sided and don’t leave everything on the table so people can talk about it this is what happens. People can’t fully come to a conclusion and be satisfied. So it’s not only Alex Jones that is coming to these conclusions. Every platform that took out and banned everything is also responsible. You can’t leave the conversation one sided and expect people to not go finding answers if they want. Again, they are all to blame.

@@fourmoyle Yes. I’m not some fair weather pussified American. I actually believe in the Bill of Rights which gives us the absolute right to think and say whatever the hell we want. The man didn’t say their names. The man never told people to go harass anyone. The man had an opinion, and he’s being punished for it - in the United States of America. He didn’t even get a trial to determine whether or not he committed defamation or slander. The judges just declared him guilty and had a jury decide how much punishment would be just. That’s the opposite of America. You are to be PROVEN liable in front of a JURY of your peers. The judge found him liable- not a jury. So youre damn right I’m defending Alex Jones. Too many people forget that the first amendment says that congress can make no law.... It's a protection against criminal prosecution. But that doesn't mean that you can't be held responsible civilly. The first amendment doesn't mean you don't have to face any consequences. It just means they won't throw you in jail just for saying it (which he hasn't be charged criminally due to this). So it's not a violation of his first amendment rights. His first amendment rights were protected by not throwing him in jail or the government forcing him to stop speaking.
