If you have anxiety you’re living in the future. If you are depressed you’re living in the past. If you’re at peace you’re living in the present.

Having all 3 is good sometime. I get depressed thinking about how good the old days were, I get anxious about who I want to be as I get older, but I’m also at peace. I know nothing can bring back the past and only by working hard in the present I can better my future.

This is correct and it is actually more than a quote. Us humans have developed fear much more than please because we needed to survive thousands of year ago until now. Fortunately for us, we all live in better conditions now, but the developed fear still resides in all of us.

@@CoachingCompanies I think the fact that we live in better conditions now but we have been developed for thousands of years to look out for threats and to struggle, is one of the main reasons why mental illnesses are very common nowadays. I think we had a purpose in that struggle to survive
@CoachingCompanies
@CoachingCompanies Жыл бұрын
@@kiehallo what you says it very true! You're very smart, honestly. We can look at it this way: we aren't anymore in a phase where survival is our purpose, we are in a phase where evolution as a society is our purpose. To me it's like the next level. I do believe that why people have mental confusion more nowadays than before, it's because of several reasons. First of all, what we put in our head is very important, and the more crap (negativity, etc) we put in our head, the worse we become. With all the TV, negative media, social media, etc that is easily available to us, we constantly feed our mind with bad stuff, and we become confused. The other thing, and again this is just my opinion, is that the "parental school" is not what it was before. What I call "parental school", is both your parents teaching you life during your childhood. All the good stuff. Because nowadays 50% of people split or divorce, that parental school is divided. Then, since we spend more time consuming (TV, social media, etc) parents become less smart and spend less time teaching their children. Which then, 25 years later, do the same to their own kids. And it's a downward spiral. There are so much good stuff in life, if only we could simply teach all the kids during their childhood, things would get better It's very hard to do, because society has made consumption and distraction very easy.

Hi. Since I was little I was raised with the fear of this. I got to the point where I stopped everything from coming in. I just stopped going to places that kept telling me fear this. I stooped listening to people that kept pushing the fear of my own capabilities. I stopped wanting friends, or support when others didn't want to give it. I depend on myself to stay strong when all I hear about is failure. No one has helped me along my journey. All I have gotten is draining of what I'm suppose to have which is joy. So today I'm living my life away from things that don't benefit my life.

Years later I met my mentors and they have the healthiest marriage I have ever seen. Yep. My mom and I both had that. We got it right after taking my brother to the hospital for his 2nd stroke. Anyway, my mom was TERRIFIED of the plague before we got it. I told her to quit worrying, we'd be fine. Yep. It was like having a really bad flu. She was 86 at the time, had two V's and two boosts and STILL got sick. She was better in a few weeks. I have asthma, so I caught the one with an upper respiratory infection. It took 3 rounds of antibiotics, 2 rounds of Prednisone, lots of OTC cough meds, lots of throat drops, several boxes of Kleenex, and the antivirals (we both got those) - and about 6 weeks - for me to get better. I was just starting to come around..... and my brother had to go back in the hospital for dehydration and acute kidney failure. Man, that was scary. The stroke was scary. But you know, you deal with what you got. We got so much going on here, I'm not too worried about the media and all that. Stopped watching maybe middle of 2017 or so. Got sick of Trump Trump Trump. 15:20 exactly your input is everything one thing that I recently started doing that has helped me a lot honestly is I actually don’t go on any social media I first wake up in the morning for at least 3 hours and I also only follow or watch things that I know will benefit me sometimes you know I like my little funny things or reality tv or my ignorant music sometimes but for the most part, I try to stay away from all of that it is very true. Your input really does affect your output.

I don’t know if the fear aspect of this about their lives, and having fear of being hurt. I think the fear aspect is more bills, paying vehicle notes, keeping the lights on, getting the job, not having money. I think that’s where most of the fear of hugs, and not so much of feeling like their lives are in danger.

I stopped watching any TV 17 years ago, never read newspaper, a few articles here and there every odd week or so if even, no social media or whatever one would consider as trash content. I've no idea how anyone adheres to all of that crap like it's their religion without seeing how they're being played. Worst of all, they then dance to that fiddle without having made up their own mind, done their own research, actually looked at how things are. These news outlets and media are all owned by the same two to three companies, they all have an agenda they're following and trying to make you follow it as well. Unless it is the consequence of one's inaction and pure survival, I don't think one's motivation should ever be founded in fear or anxiety. You're essentially killing yourself through stress just because you blindly follow people who have their not your interest in mind. If you simply repeat what someone else told you without having given it any thought, is it even your own idea? Of course not. People like that display nothing short of an incapacity to exercise their free will. They're not their own people, simply mouthpieces for ideas they've been given by others. That's a very dangerous road to go down. There's nothing wrong with sharing an idea, there's everything wrong with doing so blindly especially if you're just following everyone else to have a sense of belonging due to a fear of missing out. I'll quote something here: "You exercise your right to "freedom" and this is the result. All rhetoric to avoid conflict and protect each other from hurt. The untested truths spun by different interests continue to churn and accumulate in the sandbox of political correctness and value systems." These words couldn't be more true today. People have become so afraid, so full of fear and anxiety, they've gone absolutely insane, being completely misled by their emotions and those speaking out against it aren't given dialogue but insulted and ridiculed, sometimes even sabotaged and their attempts at having a discussion shut down by those fearmongers. That's how insanely afraid and fearful people have become by now. It's madness and a testimony of verification to what you're talking about in this video. As you've said, practicing mindfulness is a powerful tool to combat all of this.

I just discovered you. And I must have manifested you into my life because I needed someone else that is saying exactly the same things I've been saying so that someone else could see and hear that what I say is for a reason and understand that they are manipulated and because of that they are too. I notice often that they just can't understand why I am not easily manipulated by them, I don't get in line like all the dummies he's so used to just accepting every word out of his mouth when all of it is crap.

PTSD litterly made me feel like I lost my abilities associated with the frontal lobe It feels like I still am as 'smart' as I was, but instead of having a sequence of thoughts, and managing those, I could only have 1 thought at a time. Essentially keeping the ability to understand things, but being unable to act upon them in a planned effective manner (excecutive functioning disability)
