How someone nearly ruined a vintage fan

Neat old fan.... Looks like an Emerson 2450B. I use to have two, years ago, as its has the bullet motor case like mine had. The older ones with the exposed square gear box were pre WW2, the bullet motor ones were post war from what I understand. Mine had an aluminum blade, silver cage and gloss black motor and base. Both were like new unrestored fans from an estate sale. I "think" they were mid to late 40's era..... I did sell them about ten years ago.... Got 200 bucks for each of them.... the same guy bought both fans.

I believe you are correct, Howard. I uncovered some more evidence which I will make a video about.

It would make me nervous to plug that fan in. I have 2 old fans, that still run. I think that they are from the 50's. A GE, and a Westinghouse. I just clean the blades when they get dirty, and they work fine.

Those fans were built to last. Shame to see it's a shoddy restoration Tyler. You gunna rebuild it? 🔧

just slap a mopar sticker on that fan , and call it a day lol
