Well, I don’t really want to sell my possession and the liquidation of it is not the goal of listing the ad. What I am only interested in doing is “checking the pulse” of the desirability of my item because nothing provides me with a stronger feeling of self worth and empowerment than knowing that I possess something that other people really, really want to have … and being able to deny them the opportunity of owning it is as fulfilling to me as any bloodsport know to mankind! Yes, I am indeed the king and all of you just swim in my wake with your wants and desires!

I once failed on steps one and two long ago but nailed it on step three. The doors I was selling were for a 1930's Chevy truck and not a car. The guy who drove an hour to find that out was so relieved that I didn't have the right ones. I can't remember every bit of his advice, but it was something along the lines that I shouldn't place ads in the future.

I could add, that if you are buying a vehicle, make sure that the person whose name is on the title is available to sign it, and doesn't live in another state. Or when you buy the vehicle and you find out that the tires don't come with the vehicle, only the dry rotted tires do.

Right. If you are selling something that requires a title, make sure you either don't have it or it's worthless because someone else's name is on it.

You forgot to add that when you are placing your ad on marketplace or craigslist or Ebay etc. you must never provide any useful information in the description that would help someone to fully understand what exactly you have for sale and what condition it is in. Also if you can only post one blurry picture of the item for sale that would be great too.

That's great advice! I'm also thinking, put a picture of something that isn't the actual item and looks much better.

@@TylersNeighborhoodGarage Yes, it doesn't even have to be the same model, brand or color. It just needs to look kind of sorta almost but not really like what you have for sale. Even better is no picture at all. That would fit right in with your lack of a helpful description. It creates an air of mystery around your item that will drive potential buyers crazy with desire to purchase it.
