Very interesting and thank you for sharing. Will start saving for the DAC X this year. It will take me time, but I want that DAC!

one can start with the DAC IV or DAC V for the fraction of the cost and then move up to the DAC X without any loss of value kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqW9lWCVqq-NaMk

I can only dream of that right now. But yes DAC x is currently the pinnacle of Sw1x design in DACs. I mean my DAC 3 balanced is better than any alternative I’ve heard even at multiple times the price.

I have heard tube increase dimensionality. How and why do tube increase dimensionality? Is that dimensionality revealed or created? I've never heard anyone talk about the reason for this.

So many ignorant people in the hifi domain. Let’s consider Tubes, transformers, capacitors for example. Better quality components and larger in size will obviously have an overall improvement on every aspect of the sound. For instance a larger transformer will translate to a more extended sound at both end of the spectrum hence larger dynamics and yes bigger soundstage. I think these clever clogs just want to be heard. It’s very easy to poop on a companies research development and painstaking effort and high expense but at the very least back up your comments. Oh and if you don’t want to do anything else just demo some of sw1x gear. Even at level 2 it’s very impressive indeed.

are there any measurements to prove this?
@robertthurston685822 күн бұрын
Probably the measurements you do with your ears. What other machine measures soundstage ?

@@robertthurston6858 crosstalk...and where is the correlation coefficient regarding the size of tube v size of soundstage....none I suspect
@HerbertShooler22 күн бұрын
@@robertthurston6858 crosstalk measurement is one......I have seen no study/data/evidence that says bigger tube = bigger soundstage, so an 845 tube has more soundstage than a 6sn7?
@sw1xaudiodesign22 күн бұрын
@HerbertShooler absolutely. 6SN7 is going to sound small and closed in relative to the 845. try it and decide for yourself if you do not belive it
