I mean, he mixed the film, he wasn't a sound designer. Still an important and difficult job, but it involves balancing dialogue, sound effects and soundtrack. Its the same with star wars, he wasn't really responsible for the amazing sound design. That was Ben Burtt. Who no one talks about, because they are too busy praising george lucas.

What people don't realize is that Steven Spielberg George Lucas John Milius Brian Depalma And Francis Coppola Have all been best friends since they graduated together from USC film school. Lucas had so much involvement with Cinema history, but it's all tainted with the Hate for selling out to Disney and the prequels, which imo are almost perfect for what he was gling for and that times technology. The amount of stuff that was invented or was the base or what is used today came from the OG trilogy. There is only 1 scene that has CGI in it and it's like 3 seconds. Everything else is real and can be touched physically

Even more surpsing that Kathleen Kennedy was Co producer and "in charge" of finishing it. She actually has mad production skills but clearly cannot be the main or sole creative force because she simply doesn't have what a Spielberg, Lucas, etc bring. unfortunately her ego seems to disagree. tbh Lucas is almost as bad when left unfettered. he more than most does his best work while struggling under constraints of time, budget or oversight. otherwise he doesn't act with discipline and over stuffs the production. look at the difference between ep 4 and Empire vs the prequels to see what I mean.

So, which of these great films would objectively not have happened without her? Just because she contributed to some of them doesn't mean that if she wasn't there they wouldn't have happened.
