With the Fed's call on 25 basis points or 50 basis points coming next week, how concerned is the stock market?

Successful investing is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.

Government policy has thrown the future under the bus for decades. The day of judgment is near. I predict an 80% drop in the stock market. Investors will abandon stocks in favor of real estate. There will be no money in banks... You must devise a strategy for survival.

That makes sense. I’ve been using a financial market expert for two years now and I own a six-figure diversified portfolio from investing in stocks. I want to diversify more this year, though.

Historically, the stock market tends to recover from downturns, so long-term investors often see stability if they ride out the volatility
@AliciaCrone4 ай бұрын
Right, but on the flip side, there’s so much uncertainty right now. Between inflation, interest rate hikes, geopolitical tensions, and fears of a recession, it seems like the market is more volatile than stable
@ericbergman75464 ай бұрын
It feels like we’re in for a rough period.
@LoydJohnson-kp3jv4 ай бұрын
That’s a valid concern. Volatility has definitely been higher, and we’ve seen sharp market corrections recently. Short-term stability is hard to guarantee, and factors like global supply chain disruptions and fluctuating commodity prices are creating instability.
@georgeearling9054 ай бұрын
there’s also concern about how central banks will manage inflation without stifling growth. So yeah, in the short run, stability can be questionable

The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market

Love your videos, there are a lot of companies out there that can power through recession and hardship periods, I'm just a fan of buying into moat heavy, cash flow grantors, buy on dips, and add as they drop, and enjoy the bull markets when they happen.
@Paulreal-s2w4 ай бұрын
As always, it’s absurd when people call stocks momentum a flunk, they aren't considering the long run. The companies themselves have not changed, it's the market that keeps changing. Steady as it goes, and it'll regroup in weeks.

I need the market to go down some anyway. The small pullback at the beginning of the month wasn't enough. Many are overpriced now and buffet sold his. I was looking for a rough setback as I am eager to capitalize on the market.

nibbling on heavy red days has proven to be fruitful for me, these days I’m extremely attentive we are entering an unusual market (distort) economy. That doesn't mean that you can't unravel opportunities in every sectors, you can but you should be considering rewarding options to 10x in excess like adding Gold. It would be a vast awareness to align under a top performer for easy earning picks. I did the same and it works.

Another thoughtful video that continues to support the bull case for shares going forward, although as usual, Chris presumes nothing and is open to all possibilities concerning the market. My account struck another ATH on Friday, I opened it in late 2016, so now more than a triple in just under 8 years. That attainment is with taking about 3/4 of my quarterly dividend income from it since May, 2023 for my wife and I to live on here in Australia. We own our home, are debt-free and she still works full time. I've been following Chris and Kathy's analyses for many years, if anything he has refined and sharpened his approach to understanding the nuances of the share market. He knows his craft very well and if anything is improving upon it. We are very fortunate to have free access to his wisdom.

Do you think it's a good time to consider selling some stocks, or is it better to hold onto them for the long term? I’m considering rebalancing my $2M portfolios, So I'm curious about the best strategies to invest this year.

Awesome video! I was blown away by the recent economic data! There seems to be uncertainty over inflation and the U.S. stock market is at a crucial crossroads. Despite growing concerns among investors, the economy shows signs of resilience which could help Bitcoin remain stable. Interestingly, the crypto market, which is usually correlated with the U.S. stock market, has been moving in the opposite direction. BTC and the Nasdaq are currently bouncing back. However, with the sentiment changing fast now is the perfect time to get into the crypto market..... I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Are you under-estimating the continued rise in unemployment? The bear case = weekly SP500 is currently a double top. If the double top fails it migrates to a weekly H&S with new all time high head formed by October volatility. Fed pivot in 2000 and 2008 were both followed by a 3.5 week rally, both of which subsequently broke down into their respective crashes. Maybe this time it's different due to the delusional AI bubble (complete with magical and instant ROI from $trillions invested) and we push on to a fully fledged blow off top (the 'head') around 6000. Santa rally for 2024 and then a new year hangover with AI chickens coming home to roost. If unemployment continues to rise into the first quarter 2025, the 'market' will start to accept defeat and will start pricing in recession which will trigger the end of the blow-off top and the start of secular decline as institutions sell into the weakness at blow off top all time highs knowing that it could be quite some time before we get back to 6K again.

Look at equal weight compared to relative sp500 ETFs. Markets being carried by just a few. Meanwhile, people are spending less and bankruptcies are increasing.
@ThatonedudeCR129565 ай бұрын
@@DuaneVick The market has been broadening out recently. Equal weight S&P is doing pretty well and has been. The rally you have seen this week was due to everyone becoming overly bearish on NVDA. Chip/AI stocks were essentially just recovering once everyone got more bullish information or information that reaffirmed that there are still chip stocks with great earnings. Everyone became too bearish and got caught offsides. I would be shocked if there isn't a pullback/consolidation next week though. I honestly expected it to happen today but I stayed neutral instead of going short--incredibly glad I did 😂
@JimMcNutty5 ай бұрын
Tell me you don’t know what you’re talking about without telling me you don’t know what you’re talking about. Has he been wrong to be bullish? Just because it doesn’t meet your personal narrative doesn’t mean he’s wrong. Your job is to make money and being long is how you make money in the market. He then lays out exactly why you should be invested according to his system.
@martinwillinick64195 ай бұрын
I disagree with some of his analysis. If the market is being carried by a small number of well known stocks that's what happens increasingly at market peaks.
