Really interesting interview tbf dude. I'd love to get into social media management like this to some extent, how were people actually getting jobs though? I've been looking now for a few months and have no idea where to find jobs like this

The concept of his Social Chain company is absolutely genius, especially considering this was before social media was seen as a business

Went to school with his business partner Dom at social chain. That guy was the biggest bully I’ve ever seen, brutally beat up his brother frequently and many others people had to move schools because of what that guy did. Will never respect him

People like Steve give me hope for myself and simultaneously make me feel like I haven't achieved anything yet.
@peakdennis1
@peakdennis1 2 жыл бұрын
Its unlikely you will achieve anything great. The majority of people aren't going to achieve anything and will be on average wage or below for their entire lives look at past generations people 45 years old and above 5 out of 50,000 people are considered well off. Stop giving a fuck just like I have success is literally luck of the draw I've met people with degrees that can't get a job that pays even average wage. Life is shite.

It isn't everything to be what society deems as successful aka lots of money. Not knocking it or the achievements of Stephen but he has posted how money doesn't make you happy and his extreme drive to be successful (like many super driven people who work non stop) was rooted in his impoverish childhood and insecurity. Regardless of the drive it's pretty impressive, allow it to give you hope of what is possible and that opportunities exist in our world. Don't beat yourself up, 'success' takes time usually and there's nothing wrong with that.
@dave3295
@dave3295 2 жыл бұрын
@@peakdennis1 this mentality is why you won’t succeed, mate. I have a degree, and when I finished my degree thought “what industry makes the most money” and tried to get in to that. I now have a job there and can make between 50k and 150k a year (depending on market conditions). Obviously this is nothing compared to Stephen, but it means I’m very comfortable. I didn’t do anything spectacular, I just applied for jobs and got one. I’m nothing special. Just have confidence in yourself. If you don’t try and get there and just think “there’s no chance and life is shit” it definitely won’t happen.
