I went to Barnes & Noble and picked up a 300 Writing Prompts Journal (on sale!) Takes your mind of a lot of things while it keeps your creativity going.

Stress and burnout are rough to deal with, and it gets worse every year from classroom to clinic and then residency.

I went into PA school weighing 217 very muscular, and finished my 1st semester at 192lbs... it was depressing. Haha lack of sleep, I would forget to eat because I was studying, stopped working out, and just cortisol levels through the roof made my body catabolic. Lol

Literally and the same twitch for a while. A girl in class said when it happens look at something far away really quick. Not sure if that’s what helped but It went away

This is what worries me most because I feel like im already at that threshold of stress being undergrad which then makes me think maybe i shouldn’t go into PA school ?? Idk really

Well I don't want to discourage you but you know yourself, so you have to take a hard look at your life and the stress that you can handle, and make your decision based o. What would be good for your overall life and health.

Hi there, thank you for your message. 2 years ago I suffered a mental breakdown/burnout and was hospitalized for near suicide. It was from being over worked and heart broken. I am 29 now. Can I fully recover? I am seeing a phsycologist and phsyciatrist, just terrified about going back into work. Thank you

Hi Adanna, I was wondering if it is necessary for you to have a specialty already picked out even before PA school or to keep your options open? (love your videos btw :) )
@AdannaThePA6 жыл бұрын
Nope! Not neccessary at all. Honestly that's what clinicals are for. There are people in come in thinking that they wanna go into a certain specialties and then when they actually experience it in clinical's they realize it's not for them so it's OK if you have a specialty already in mind but it's not a requirement
