Thank you for this video! I am working on my personal statements for my BSN and it is so hard to talk about yourself in a unique way that doesn't come across trite or cliche.

It definitely can be, but you just have to find the balance between not sounding conceited or dull

I'm only in the taking the undergrad prerequisite courses part of my journey but when you said rambling it's like spear came and hit me. I can't even keep it short in most comment sections on youtube

@@AdannaThePA Question: I can't make imagery like the "magic carpet ride" you took your audience for your statement on, but one thing I can do is "make em' laugh." I even got away with one of the don't do this on your thesis statements back in my undergraduate because I made it funny. (I was an medical illustrator art for the medical field, we were told no when I was younger I wanted to be an artist statements. I gave a "when I was younger I wanted to be an artist but all famous artist I knew were famous after they died and I didn't want to die, I also wanted to be a doctor but I didn't like blood. So I grew up to be a medical illustrator whose senior thesis is all about blood"). That kind of funny does it work for PA school personal statements? Hey look I rambled in the comment section again.

Very important questions: how much were your student loans in total? And how much were your monthly payments? And lastly what did you do or doing to pay them off?
@AdannaThePA6 жыл бұрын
Hey. I am actually still in school so I am not currently in the paying off student loans part of my life, lol. But I will do a video on it at some point in the future.

Adanna, I was shadowing a PA and sometimes he would refer to himself as a "practitioner" when he was introducing himself to new patients. Would this be something good or acceptable to exchange with the word PA/physician assistant when writing your personal statement.
@AdannaThePA7 жыл бұрын
+Mallori Wisuri I would say so. In the general sense of the woed, we are all prscricioners, and I've used it in conversation and writing from time to time. I'm not sure how I feel about introducing myself as "the practioner that will be taking care of you today" but I've definitely used the term stating "as practical ers" or "future practitioners".
