But Araki thought that would kill any chance of the series continuing so he rewrote the ending to what it currently is. If you thought Pucci surviving long against Star Platinum was bullshit, well there's the reason(and yes it was bullshit, there were at least two ways to kill him with Jotaro and his daughter's powers)

You know, J Guevara's technique allows him to use the surface below him completely, the force travels through his body which also enhances him to a same level. Essentially making him as strong as Earth and able to strike with it. Oliver while in mid air giving Guevara the advantage, blitz & one shoted Guevara. This puts Yujiro is far beyond planetary. Same concept with Kaku Kaio's shaori which is the most powerful defense and J Guevara's technique is the most powerful offense. Oliver proved no technique, even the most powerful offense works in him. Yujiro proved there is no defense even the most powerful is enough to survive a single strike from his serious demon back punch. Kaku created the ultimate defense technique by dying before being killed, as that's the only sure way to cheat a fight which is what techniques are. You could argue that shaori uses the opponents strikes to enhance your power to a level beyond the surface you're standing in. Like Kaku Kaio's shaori struck Yujiro with his own power over & over, but J Guevara has a limit the surface which is the planet, if he could stand of the sun he could strike with it but that's extremely unlikely even though he could.
