Absolutely. The Asian Games (unlike the Commonwealth Games) is recognized by the International Olympic Committee and successful Asian Games hosts have a good change of winning an Olympic Bid.

first of all, sort out general hygiene for the people. Improve road and traffic order, improve air quality, raise the standard of safety for women and tourists. Then India will be ready to host the Olympics. Have big dreams, but make all the ne esaary small steps.

I hope one day, India will host the Olympics. Judging by the selection of Paris 2024, LA 2024, and Brisbane 2032, the International Olympic Committee is looking for the a City that has most of its venues already completed. Of the potential cities, I think Qatar has the highest chance among asian cities (it has hosted multiple successful world championships in major sports, the FIFA World Cup, twice the Asian Games (2006, 2030 Asian Games). Qatar is absolutely ready and it is rumored (usually true) to be the preferred host. Of the European Cities Istanbul and Budapest are great prospects (these cities have been ready for years and can host an Olympic Games now). I would love to see India host a successful Asian games to show the IOC that it is ready for the Olympics.

@@MrTobytherat I think China has had a lot or recent games so I would rather the IOC go for an Indonesian bid, but Nusantara has no facilities. Qatar, I think, will be the next host. they have hosted the World Cup and lots of Major championships like Track, Swimming, Gymnastics they will do a good job.

@@ctalcantara1700 Asia in general had a lot of games. 4 summers (Tokyo 1964, 2020, Seoul 1988, Beijing 2008) and 3 winters (Nagano 1998, Pyeongchang 2018, and Beijing 2022). Now I'm thinking would South America (Chile) or Africa (Egypt) be preferred. Only 1 south America (Brazil Rio 2016) and no Africa.

Not looking forward to the almost certain bungling up of the games by India. 😂. Echoes of 2010 Commonwealth Games which is a much, much smaller affair comes to mind. And G20 is nowhere near the scale of an Olympics running 12000 athletes, 20000 officials over almost 3 weeks.

It would be good for India to host but there is a lot of expenditure associated with hosting an Olympics which mostly are not recoverable. Also India needs a massive clean up of it's cities as I have often heard the traffic is quite dangerous, lots of stray animals like dogs which makes it unsafe for athletes and visitors due to risk of rabies. Garbage strewn streets etc..

Gujjuo ko aur Ameer karne k liye humse aur zada tax wassolenge yeh log. Pura debt event hota hai, jo income tax payers ko bharna padega. Income tax payers should boycott this bid strongly. It will put more pressure on us paying for the debt incurred by this event.
