She wasn't using her lifting Manhattan effort in defense against Luke, she was expecting him to pull his punch as he usually must or he'd splatter regular men. Luke pulls punches on the super powered too,. When punching Luke could go through a guy like Spider-Man that I presume is more durable than usual men via his super human hard muscle and that spider blood... Luke could kill most of them in the Marvel universe with a solid punch, I bet he kills plenty yet like Batman's and The Punisher's case nobody really cars if some street thug, Ninja, Soldier or henchman dies.

Dig the vid my dude. I’ve always liked Cage. A lot of ppl still sleep on Cage though. Something to remember: his powers come from a derivative of the super soldier serum. What ppl seem to forget is that the SSS enhances ALL of attributes. Which means Cage should have enhanced agility , speed, reflexes, coordination, and senses, just like Cap. But those abilities are never really shown with him. We never think that Luke can be fast and agile like Cap or BP (even though BP is more agile than Cap). Real talk, then need to put more emphasis on ALL his skills, like they do with Warpath. Luke needs to get a power upgrade and be classified officially AT LEAST at 75 tons. He needs to be Colossus level. Make him a legit heavy hitter. Also…personally, I’d want him to get a whole costume/outfit.

One feat I can say for his speed is that he caught up to a plane before it could completely lift off, and the average plane when it’s taking off is about 120-150mph. It kinda goes hand and hand with his strength because he was able to stop the plane from lifting off going over 100 mph. That’s a hell of a strength feat

In Marvel Two In One #13 The Thing and Cage seemed to be close in strength. By the time of Marvel Two In One #94 The Thing trashed Cage without working up a sweat. Cage could barely bend a steel girder and throw it. I know Ben Grimm had at least two power upgrades at that point, but it was too easy for Grimm.

Marvel seems to have gotten silly with Cage's strength levels. In the beginning he was on roughly spiderman level. I read somewhere that Cage, later in his career, was exposed to the same procedure that originally gave him his power and it made him even stronger. To me, putting him on a level with folks like the Thing and Namor just means Marvel can't figure out quite what to do with him.

This is exactly why I keep telling people that Netflix Luke Cage was NOT Luke Cage. It bugs the hell out of me that every other character in The Defenders they seemed to want to get the skills and powers correct. Yeah I know Iron Fist was just tragic but that had more to do with what the actor could pull off. But they went out of their way to nerf and misrepresent Luke's power set. They even had Jessica Jones appearing as strong as Luke. She is nowhere near his strength level in the comics. And it wasn't because they made her stronger. No.. They made him MUCH weaker. If the MCU does not portray him correctly with the correct powers and skills level, I hope they never bring him into the MCU.

I think Luke Cage's speed and small/ regular sized 6' plus tall human male fist. His muscle twitch speed allows him to fight the best fighters and if he is suddenly punching someone like the invisible Woman she'll underestimate the impact. 50 tons is an incredible strength limit.

It's pretty obvious what going on with Luke Cage beating villains seemingly out of his league. We've seen Spider-Man beat Firelord down to the point where Captain America had to pull the fully-beserk Spidey off the alien before Spidey put him into the subway! How? Speed's proper use, as much as anything else. Cage may not quite be in Spidey's class in agility, but he's still more than good enough to mix speed and agility to strike nearly at will and with devastating power while remaining untouchable. If one opponent avoids all attacks by the other, then those attacks are avoided and wasted. Just as Spider-Man evaded every one of Firelord's attempts at counter-attacks, so too could Luke dodge or block strikes by his enemies, oftentimes while landing his own -- especially after really absorbing the training he's received from Iron Fist Danny Rand. Also, there is one stratagem that Luke falls back on quite a bit -- hit the same spot repeatedly. That method broke Seagate Prison's walls, Dr. Doom's armor, and Iron Man's armor that I know of, and is good for much else. Luke's just TOUGH!

Cage has got a lot stronger over the decades. Back in the 80s he was far weaker. In a marvel team up he and iron fist fought the Hulk and Cage’s punches just annoyed the Hulk. And Cage couldn’t budge a giant Boulder that the Hulk punched through with ease. And in Hulk#300 iron fist and Cage try to stop a rampaging Hulk and the Hulk k.o.’ed Cage with one punch (and knocked him through several buildings). So Cage is much stronger now.

By now his comic book history is long. But he’s always had a street level vibe to me. I would place him in the middle between street level and whatever’s after that. I don’t agree with a lot of his feats. Cool character but he’s everywhere he doesn’t need to be. Characters do power up over time and I’m fine with that but knocking out ppl like vision and rhino seem a bit much for him. His durability has always shined the most to me. It seems like his durability exceeds his strength. His strength should be on a much lower tier but his durability I think should be at a higher tier than his strength at all times. The Brit by image comics is a great example of that. Brit isn’t a powerhouse per say but his durability is top notch. He took on a super powered being that’s not Superman like but symbolic and allowed the guy to punch himself out before Brit started to beat on him.

That shield feat is not that impressive. She was a lot less experienced and weaker back then. Also, the Hulk and Thing were much weaker then. When the Submariner couldn't break the shield it was a lot later on. Sue was a beast by then. Let him try to penetrate that shield now.

Especially when you consider that Dragon Man has whopped the entirety of the F4 at the same time, and the The Thing and She-Hulk had to work together to beat him. Luke just uses Cap's shield "blink" and Dragon Man is down.
