Well tbf with Mayuri original Bankai i don’t think most characters would survive the posin his opponent are always written with a way out of it take most of the Sterenritter for example if they were to inhale the toxins most of there tradition defense wouldn’t work. I think the counter to Mayuri's bankai is 1 shot kills basically lol. With the Kyoraku example, the only way Mayuri could create a counter would be to witness it, and Kyoraku did a really good job of never using his bankai.

I think the main issue with his Bankai is two fold. 1. We dont know its limits or upper limits. Like maybe it could make a way around Aizens hypnosis but could Aizens Pressure just negate it if the gap is too far or could the bankai nit be able to compete with hoguuko evolution. 2. Start up time. Based on statments Mayuri has to feed the bankai data before activating it meaning he has to survive long rnough to get enough data on his enemys main power to counter. If a enemy is too overwhelming or fast befofe he has enough data he could lose before activation or imagine if a enemy has multiple stages or powers Mayurii would have to activate the bankai again while also stalling to gather new data.

I was just thinking the biggest weakness is what if the enemy destroys the giant baby before it gives birth? If the baby was resistant to the enemy's attack, there would be no need for it to give birth, so it's a huge weak spot itself. Although I assume: 1) the giant baby has some form of general resistance to attack. 2) whatever the baby was going to give birth to, has the ability to tear its way out with no help. Despite the claim of the giant baby giving birth, my immediate thought upon seeing it was that it looked dead or undead, so you will note I said nothing about it being killed because I'm not entirely convinced it's fully alive.

I see the major weakness is one you pointed towards, it needs the data to create the "counter" if against Aizen and Uruhara for example it wouldn't be sufficient. Kyoka Suigetsu could manipulate what Mayuri perceives, so it could end up producing a Jizo weak to Aizen based on the illusion. Against Urahara, his Bankai can restructure anything, so could feasibly restructure itself to counter the Jizo counter so to speak.

My thoughts on this: 5:52 I mean we did see him do a 1-handed operation on his hand in this very battle. 1 hour and Nemu seems like plenty of time. 11:47 Same way to counter Kenpachi: Instant Regeneration. Don't bother stopping the damage. He didn't bother about his bankai being in constant pain. Just heal from it faster then they can do it! One thing the anime added in cour 1 was a scene were Akon spies on Mayuri and he's seen making the new bankai. You can in that scene hear him mention that the purple baby has enough tissue to birth one Ashisogi Jizo, of the size we've seen in the fight with pernida. So with this limitation in mind, there is one ability that would be reasonable for this bankai to have, which is the ability to birth multiple smaller Jizo. Taking the example of a fight against Zaraki. I don't think it's reasonable to expect the bankai to produce a Jizo that can't be cut. But what if it made a ton of super small jizos, say 100 each 1/100th the size of a regular one, Jizos so small Zaraki can't possibly cut them all. Give em the poison back too and Zaraki's toast.

I personally think that this Bankai, VS a majority of the bleach universe, would come out on top. There are only a few other hax type things that exist out there, and none of them are possessed by someone who's as witty as Mayuri. Now when we put him VS pure powerhouses, who can just spam world ending level kido, and or just raw reishi blasts, he would likely lose. However in a battle of hax vs hax, I believe mayuri wins.

Askin at that point had already fought Yoruichi’s brother and Yoruichi herself by the time Urahara came along so he was already warmed up anyway. All of this to say that Askin’s last resort is to fight.

The best way to beat a bankai like that is once the modified baknkai is created the person mayuris is fighting needs to be switched out; so there for the bankai would be useless cause the opponent is now different…. There's a very obvious weakness to the bankai. You get Mayuri to release it and quickly switch out to an ally with a completely different power set. From your example. Mayuri could cancel out Candice's electricity, sure. But what if Bazz B suddenly joined the fight? That modified pregnancy has gotta take time to create, as well as requiring intelligence gathering. Otherwise, Mayuri would just spam the thing.

About base Konjiki, I've heard theories about Mayuri not having properly achieved Bankai. Rather than taking the proper route, the theory is that he experimented on Ashisogi Jizo and, like... "Coaxed" the Bankai? Rather than manifesting and subduing the spirit, he would have maybe experimented on or tortured out the Bankai. I'm not selling the theory at all, but I thought it was rather interesting, and *very* in character for Mayuri, who we already know has the ability to self-destruct Konjiki and, as displayed here, modified the nature of the Bankai itself.

A counter for the X-Axis could be utilizing body morphing like Majin Buu from DBZ and open a hole in the Jizo. Thus, the target of the X-Axis is moved out of the way based on where the gun is pointing. Assuming Mayuri sees the eye light ability and having the Jizo able to absorb/distort light would cover Lille's other form.

I think that the perfect counter against Mayuri's new bankai it's Ichigo himself because for what we know Ichigo's bankai seems to only change the shape of Ichigo's zanpakuto and only boosts his speed and for the rest of Ichigo's power its just "energy attacks" so how do you counter that?

Beforehand the Bankai Jinzo felt like a visually dynamic but very underwhelming in terms of actual power intro to Bankai with Renji vs Byakuya being what truly gives the Bankai the awesome reputation that comes to mind when referring to that evolved state. With the Jizo only technically working only one more time but it immediately backfires- forcing Mayuri to use unorthodox means to win. The upgraded Jizo, while it fails due to Perinda being that adaptable, it truly feels like one of the captains- the top tier of Soul Society- a divine looking yet grotesque power that is versatile and would in conventional fights- win any fight.

I'd like to think a fight with Kenny would have his bankai form a body that conforms to and absorbs any hit. Kind of like luffy getting shot by cannonballs and being able to absorb them and retract them back towards the opponent. Especially since Kenny can adjust to and cut anything. It seems that the reason he modified his bankai is because his original bankai hasnt helped him in any fight. This may also be why he never relies on it, and rarely used it in the series prior to now, particularly in the tybw. Against uryu it was a desperate final attempt just to kill him, and against szayelaporro it only demonstrated again his preperations - the thing that beat szayelaporro had nothing to do with the bankai.

Idea for a jizou that counters the X axis: his mouth is a pocket dimension like that bount whale. So if lilie shoots through it, the shot goes on for infinity inside that pocket dimension. If thats too impossible maybe the mouth could be a garganta.

If the Jizo can adapt to any enemy Mayuri has observed, it could adapt to speed and close-quarters combat with an ability similar to the original Bankai with the poison, could grow wings to fly, or even be adapted to negate a person's reiatsu. If it is anything close to Askin's "Death-Dealing" in terms of potential adaptability, then it would be near-impossible to beat one-on-one. A limitation might be that Mayuri can only create a Jizo for one target at a time, though we don't know how Mayuri would do against multiple opponents.

One very significant apparent weakness that you didn't really bring up for this Bankai, it doesn't really empower Mayuri's battle power. Yes, he summons a giant monster with custom abilities, but from what we see Mayuri is still....Mayuri. So it's entirely possible that a strong, nimble opponent could simply bypass the Jizo and rush Mayuri himself. And while he's far from defenseless, I'd argue that the likes of Zaraki for instance FAR eclipses him in battle capabilty so could potentially still defeat him simply by ignoring the Bankai, rushing Mayuri and taking him down, which should also destroy the Bankai at the same time.

1st of all, I imagine that Mayuri should be able to equip a Jizo with at least the weapons of the original (aka poison and blades), but he chose not to because he didn't thought that poison would work (and could kill Zaraki) and blades could create more Pernidas. And against Zaraki and Byakuya in specific, I like to think that the Jizo (after his battle with Pernida) would be able to copy the hand and keep replicating when its cutted.

To be fair mayuris bankai could still only manifest any change within the possibilities of his reijatsu furthermore he ACTIVELY made the decision to take the jizos teeth away meaning he has to be able to come up with the solution himself Furthermore he wasnt just able to change other ppls ability considering he didnt just change pernidas self replikation abilit so he should not be able to just change jizo in a way where it would be imune to the X axis :3

its one of the best, the dynamics and flexibility is good but it can only build a counter one at a time maybe 2 at max but at that point it will have a compromise. That's it's weakness as well as - if you can disable or injure the wielder physically or mentally before it can find a weakness.

Matai Fukuin Shotai is basically prep time, the Bankai, and its weaknesses are opponents who overwhelm him too quickly for data gathering, broken abilities without obvious counters, and opponents who adapt even faster than the Bankai, like Pernida. On the bright side, Uryuu is an opponent who will still absolutely trounce him because the Antithesis + his unnamed Vollständig abilities are too much for Mayuri to feasibly adapt to in time. This makes me wish Uryuu had somehow challenged Mayuri during the first or second Vandenreich invasions to showcase his new power and to finally get revenge for Souken et al. Now that I think of it, abilities that Mayuri probably cannot create a counter to are the Schutstaffel Schrifts except maybe for Askin, the Glutton, since it grants Liltotto the ability to digest all sorts of poisons, Ichimonji, Benihime, and Katen Kyokotsu. These are just a few I can name off the top of my head.

@@narem1092 I was just using the reiatsu blast as an example, considering this is aizen too though he could have some hidden moves not yet seen or displayed. for example hado 90 is like his preferred and seemed to be his strongest move but as shown in the yhwach fight, he actually also can do hado 99 that perhaps mayuri wouldn't take into account or know about. aizen might also be able to combine and make new kinds of kido like urahara has done.

One thing I don’t think that you take into account when discussing the ability to counter a power is that the Jizo created for Pernida is slightly affected by the compulsory, it just has the power to discard the affected area with no negative effect. So when discussing the X axis, the Jizo would likely be affected by the destroying blast, but it would have a way to repair the damage with minimal effort and likely have duplicates of vital organs to eliminate the risk of dying to a single shot

I think against the X axis something like super fast absolute regeneration should work, so the Jizo can be destroyed by Lille but he instantly regenerates.

Here’s the “counter” i can think of for any of the scenario mentioned in the video Hyorinmaru: the jizo can produce incredible heat Good ol kenpachi special: the jizo is made out of slime or gel and thus won’t be affected by being cut Sakanade: the jizo doesn’t breath Kyouka suigetsu: the jizo is blind and act independently of mayuri, so it doesn’t matter if mayuri himself is under hypnosis Respira: the jizo is like the immortal jellyfish except on far greater scale. As respira ages it, it just keep reverting back to younger state X-axis: the jizo either doesn’t have vital organ or can shift the location of it’s organ around making it hard for lille to snipe, and have regeneration ability to immediately heal any hole punched through it Katen kyokotsu: the bankai shit out lille

I think the concept of Mayuri modifying his Bankai is pretty cool and might be a way of exploring the idea of learning one’s Zanpaktou’s true name, which allows him to change it or unlock its potential like with what we saw from Ichigo and the rest who trained with squad zero. But Mayuri went the scientific Research and Development route having had not trained with Ichibe.

I don't think things like "Kenpachi can't cut it" and "Barragan can't age it" are physically possible creations. If that was the best counter Mayuri could devise, it simply wouldn't work. Instead, it would probably have an ability that punishes Kenpachi for cutting it, or that tries to reverse its ageing to slow down Respira.

I’m not sure what the intended way to interpret the bankai is but I do believe Mayuri himself constructs the baby or at least instructs the bankai on how to do so rather than the bankai deciding how to modify the baby. So I believe it’s not a guaranteed that a counter is made, more that mayuri would have to think of a counter and then implement it
