Rather than just making a class system, which is arbitrary and doesn't tell the readers anything, writers just need to remember that weights go OVER a ton. We have the Kiloton, the Megaton, Gigaton, a Teraton etc. Saying your character is able to lift over a teraton in weight gives you a good idea of both just how mind boggling strong they are and concrete terms anyone that likes to crunch the numbers and get into the details can really sink their teeth into.

Spider-Man (Peter Parker) is an excellent character. Granted, from what I heard, he hasn't exactly been well written under Zeb Wells recently. Still, he is among the best characters in all of comics and fiction. While not exactly among the strongest superheroes out there, he is definitely among the smartest. As for his strength though, he is definitely very powerful among street level characters.

Very nice job doing the research and showing from actual comic pages many of Spidey’s abilities. It gives context of what he has been shown to do. That said, anything can change from writer to writer, from story to story. If the editors of these comics allow it, Peter can do greater feats or less than depending on how his character is written. The more years he’s around & the more stories are told, it can get difficult to stay consistent on his feats but your video gives a good parameter of what he can do. Nice!

This also increases his ability to accelerate to full speed. That's why he can catch a thrown car. If he couldn't grip the ground he wouldn't be able to catch it regardless of how strong he is as like tire tread, you need traction in order to express force onto a surface, otherwise the power only serves to slide around

I would say spidey would perform great in the opm verse, he'd be an S class and he would demolish heroes like: Tank Too Master Puri Puri Prisioner (early in the story). Child Emperor (with basic equipment). Zombieman Early Genos (Maximun Elder Centepede Genos) Maybe Metal Bat (if he can take him down before he gets enraged on his fighting spirit). I think people just assume that his biggest lifts are his casual strength. Spider-Man- while not being bulletproof or able to fly etc he has super strength that could rival the best of em. Hey, I watched your first video on this as well. Great job on both, haven’t finished watching this but enjoying it as usual this far. Curious to see your thoughts on the new game and Peter’s feats and abilities in the game specifically and how he is in the insomniac verse in general. Would be a cool video. With how the media poorly portrays Peter Parker these days (the latest game doesn’t exactly help either imo) this video is refreshing and was needed. A lot of people either forget or don’t know how strong and intelligent Peter really is these days and it shows. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was…something to say the least in terms of writing especially with how they handled Peter. Felt a bit rush and poorly executed at times to me. Gameplay wise, I think Peter’s move set especially his default red and blue set could have been a lot better to showcase his strength and abilities as well. Web constructs for example. Also there were very few range of gadgets and they made Peter rely on Miles and Ganke (no disrespect to them) for things he could have easily created himself like in the comics so intelligence wise I also felt like he was lacking a bit. Web Of Shadows still has the better gameplay for me in terms of default spider-man and symbiote spider-man gameplay as it does a better of job of portraying Peter’s combat abilities but MSM2 is second to it for me and a vast improvement to the first game.

Yeah Web of Shadows still got it beat when it comes to doing combos with the symbiote I would say! Overall enjoyment it's tough picking on which one game I like better though! Insomniacs spin on the Symbiote is really fun! Insomniac Spider-Man 2 how strong vids definitely coming. Just waiting for the game to be a little while longer

Spiderman is in the thousand tonner class. Meaning he should be functioning like Zombie Spiderman and ripping Venom, Carnage, Rhino, limb from limb. Spiderman's narratively suppressed like all good guys in order to make the bad guys seem like theyre a real threat when logically they never are an actual threat going off powerscaling and feats.

I allways say Spider-Man is in the top echelor and sort of a gatekeeper powerwise if we were to say there are classes to heroes, S-A-B-C he sits somewhere between S and A not powerful enough to tangle with actual S class, but stronger than other A classes, but thats only acounting phisical feats alone

When it comes to his Spider-Sense, I remember Venom being one of the few that found a way to get past it, the Symbiot when paired with Peter Parker and his abilities developed immunities to his Spider-Sense, Which you immediately see when the Alien pairs with Eddie Brock. Copying some like shooting webbing for travel, and wall crawling, etc. But also Venom being one of the few to be able to sneak up on Spider-Man. Even Carnage, being one of the Spawns from Venom, gained some but not all of the abilities Venom did with the pairing of Peter Parker. Carnage does trigger Peter's spider sense

Maybe not much above that 1%, but still a lot considering the weight of the building alone. Now add the force to lift it higher. But that's all assuming the object is rigid. And the building obviously is not. In practice, even with that strength, everything would most likely collapse onto him anyway. But that's just me being bored and talking random things about something I don't have much knowledge about.

I personal think the class system should be a decimal range as in cap can lift in the 1 ton range with a a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 9. Spidey should be at a range of a minimum of 10 and a max of 90. Rhino a minimum of 100 and a max 900 etc. This is actually the most consistent way to scale most character that accpunts for spiderman regularly lifting things in the 40 to 50 ton range like picking up a train car or throwing a tanl which he has. Cap is supposed to be at around the 1 ton range but he has supported wieghts in excess of 4 tons in a few stories so the 1 to 9 range I think is fair.

I mean you say the writer for smoking crack when he beat firelord but firelord is the physically weakest herald and Spider-Man has consistently done well against the Silver Surfer when they have fought (even though Silver Surfer is a pacifist) shoot Spider-Man even temporarily knocked out Carnage Silver Surfer (Silver Surfer fighting back against allowing Spider-Man to speed blitz barrage attack him until he went down though). Also would have been nice if you would have mentioned Rhino from the 60s to late 80's was just as much of a Hulk villain as he was a Spider-Man villain to show where his strength really is (Rhino has even beat grey Hulk before). But besides that the only thing I thought you missed was stuff like him consistently characters like Titania and Absorbingman who are the Things level of strength and higher. The Midgard serpent weighs way more than 100 tons . I think that was thors base strength. Things that ticked me off in the movies, long drawn out fights between spiderman and doc oc despite spiderman being so strong that he survives head on crashes into brick walls while doc oc isn't augmented. Doc oc is a regular human with mechanical appendages. Spiderman has battle damage resistance.

My god, i just realized, if you put Spidey on dragon ball and had him trained under either from master roshi or whis, and considering how fucking strong humans can get in the db verse if you are trained. Spidey could probably get so OP due to him already having the strength and speed and powers and those being attributes being trained at max.
