Knew the Destroyer at his Peak (Powered or used by Odin) was insanely powerful above even Peak Base Thor or Hulk probably, but didin't think he was THAT Crazy! Great video. I wanted to request the Surtur video again, especially now that you did a Destroyer one so it could be a Asgard Theme thing.

@@alissa6 i REALLY wouldn't use the Marvel official levels to decide which characters are more powerful when it comes to people as close as Thor and Hulk or even not as close like with the Destroyer, they about as reliable as those "Official Strenght Class Tier" of 50, 100 or 300 Tons. To clarify the Doctor Doom one, that wasn't the real Destroyer. That was his own hand built one he could wear, since he had like blueprints for it, and was powered by Asgardian energy life force he harvested from the Asgardians. And yes while powerful, it was defeated I believe because it ran out of energy.

Thor #300 established that the Celestials are infinitely more powerful than the Destroyer at his most powerful. The battle showed the Destroyer was incapable of hurting a single Celestial and was easily restrained by one. He may have been blasted to bits by several but that was just a dignified way to finish him off, after he (actually, Odin inside) had surrendered and accepted his fate.

@@alissa6 No question on the rating but Spiral has a very ODD set of tools that could go toe to toe with a LOT of folks. She depowered the East and West coast Avengers simultaneously. (Including Hercules). That ALONE makes her one of the scariest Avengers threats walking. She was once considered for Sorcerer Supreme. She can phase interdimensionally and tag and dodge speedsters. Tampered and toyed with Juggernaut who Thors Godblast couldn't scratch. Turned Phoenix's power back on her KOing her. Time travel as well. Destroyer has to hit her - which he definitely wont be doing. Provided she isn't careless with her stamina, she should have enough gas in the tank to eventually debuff and place him in a maladaptive bind / paradox. It's no guaranteed KO but yes, imo, eventually she can whittle him down via attrition - not destroying him but merely turning him off like a car key. Spiral is a Beast....pun intended.

I just came off from a convo with a Spider-Man fanboy who tried to sneak past feats claiming that Spidey beat Hulk, fought Thor etc thinking I wouldn't know he's actually talking about Cosmic Spider-Man. But hey if you would say there isn't context to what you say and that Spiral did all those things you say she did without some sort of help, then that's also possible. After all we've seen Ka-Zar beat Thanos, Marvel Girl beat Nightmare, She-Hulk beat Tryco Slatterus etc.

@@alissa6 She used to be quite an underrated phantom menace - and yes those feats were not one-offs (such as Spider Man trumping Fire Lord.) Have they nerfed her since then? Sure. No question. Bear with me with what I'm about to say, but the nerf was so severe it reminds me of silver age Lex getting nerfed to modern day Lex. (As brilliant as modern Lex is, if I remember correctly, silver age Lex made a matter manipulator machine out of an orange peel, a paperclip and chewing gum foil while in prison) In other words she went from 'monstrously absurd' in the old era to merely 'great in the right hands' circa modern era. And for the record - modern day Spiral would do wise to never seek Destroyer. I get it...Destroyer stomps etc. Perhaps it was my fault for not being as clear - I vouch only for OLD ERA Spiral. Could Destroyer take modern Spiral? Yes. Would it one shot? Most certainly. BUT - I stand by my bet. 5.5 out of 10 Old-Era Spiral edges it due to mystic shutdown.
