Hashirama is the 'once in a century' talent, Mokuton is very rare, he was historically the first to be able to use Senjutsu, AND the reincarnation of Ashura, he got many buff. Madara also gained much more advantage with his eyes and bloodline, let's just admit, the power of Sharingan which every Uchiha has was freaking much more useful than Senju's questionable inherited ability. Because it's blatantly stated, Uzumaki's chakra reserve is the biggest and most vast than any other clans. Senju didn't really have obvious OP advantage except for maybe (as it hinted) their body was much stronger. AND Madara is also a freaking reincarnation of Indra. Tobirama got no more than his bloodline. He didn't have Mokuton. He had his water element and the way he used them was very genius and clever, he could use a high-level jutsu with only one or two handseals, might I remind you he was the second son that often under pressure of his psycho father? He did it all with his smarts and brain, inventing jutsus, forbidden and useful ones. He trained his speed, Hiraishin was created by him, technically, all talents were born from him. Hiruzen, the third, was his student. Jiraiya was Hiruzen's student and studied seals a lot, aside for the Uzumaki, who else would be smart enough for that? Tobirama. Orochimaru idolized him. Minato wouldn't gain the title of Yellow Flash had Tobirama didn't invent the jutsu first before Minato perfected it by himself after a long research. He's the teacher of teachers. Good and bad all traced back to him, he was perfectly responsible of everything and it was clear it was his fault. Unlike Hashirama and Madara's problem which could still be argued. Tobirama's good and bad sides were obvious. He's a teacher of good and also bad. Danzo was his student and idolized him to some extent, Orochimaru idolized him and marveled Toborama's own forbidden jutsu. He's a perfect character that Kishimoto couldn't expand properly.

Tobirama is a realistic leader but not a dictator and the best Hokage. Tobirama was the best balance between Hashirama's naivety and Madara's ruthlessness. Tobirama dealt with the Uchiha fairly by giving them a post they were well-qualified for and was willing to work with those who follow the will of fire like Kagami for example but he will never bring them to extinction like what Danzo did.

Tobirama has quickly become one of my favorite Naruto characters. I like his sense of no nonsense compassion (or however you'd best describe being a hardass while still being immediately willing to lay down your life for your subordinates), I love his interactions with less serious characters like Minato and Hashirama, and I really love his combat abilities. He's arguably the most well rounded shinobi in the series. He might not have the technique variety of Hiruzen, but he's got plenty of ninjutsu at his disposal. He might not have the chakra reserves of Hashirama, but he has enough to scare Sasuke and Orochimaru (and Jugu and Suigetsu) by just revving his chakra like a DBZ character. He isn't quite as good with Flying Raijin as Minato, but not only is he arguably faster from a physical speed perspective (Minato's best physical speed feat is tagging Killer Bee with a Flying Raijin seal, while Tobirama did the same to Juubito, along with placing four paper bombs on him in a shorter time span), he's also the only other shinobi who can use Flying Raijin, putting anyone against him at a disadvantage. And, unlike Minato who built a fighting style around it, Tobirama just added it to his normal fighting style. He was skilled enough with Water ninjutsu he could cast Water Dragon with one seal, a sensory type who could sense the fight against Obito and Madara from a distance that has to be several dozen, if not a couple hundred, miles away, and analytical enough to deduce Juubito's senjutsu weakness. This dude is imho, the most underrated Naruto character

Every time I see people saying he was weak or his death was lame I wanna laugh so bad. This guy fought 20 S Rank Shinobi (equivalent of 20 Akatsuki members or 20 Mangekyo Sharingan Kakashis) and 2 Partial Jinchuurikis of the strongest Tailed Beast wielding Tools and Weapons of the Sage of the Six Paths all after a fierce battle during Shinobi World War. And the best part is that he killed all of those 20 S Rank Shinobi, only Gold and Silver brothers survived. I don't see any other Kage other than Naruto and Hashirama surviving that fight. Tobirama easily shits on both Minato and Hiruzen at the same time and to be honest pretty much on every Kage other than Naruto and Hashirama.

ADAM i think he killed most of the army and one of the brothers because only one of the brothers was mentioned after the fight and was the one who killed tobirama and it was never mentioned that he ended with every single one so he probably ended with around 15 plus ginkaku. I probably think minato with the kyubi chakra would be able to defeat him but tobirama also is smarter and with a vast amount of tecniques so he would be like shikamaru who uses his jutsu and intelligence to defeat his enemies

Most "naruto" youtubers always bash Tobirama because of the way he died and never look at the facts. First, as stated by multiple kages, like Gengetsu and Madara, during the war arc, ninjas back then were A LOT more powerful than they are right now due to the fact that there was always war, which means you were fighting since you were young, similar to how Tobirama, Hashirama, and Madara grew up. This leads to my main point and why Tobirama is constantly looked down, his death. Tobirama was killed by the Kinkaku force, which was composed of 20 S-Rank (akatsuki level) ninjas, as well as the silver and gold brothers, which essentially were Jinjurki level ninjas, maybe stronger, and who also had the legendary items with them. Based on what was said during the war by multiple ninjas, these 20 S-Rank ninjas, WHICH TOBIRAMA STILL KILLED, could of been stronger than even some akatsuki members or other S-Rank ninjas in the show. People also forget that in Tobiramas team, who was being ambush, you had some of the strongest shinobi the leaf had to offer, three who were potentially Kage level in Tobirama, Danzo, and Hiruzen and still they knew that fighting this Kinkaku force would result in too many deaths and wouldn't guarantee victory. Thats how powerful these ninjas were! So I've never understood why youtubers who claim to be naruto fans never elaborate what the Kinkaku force really was. Give me one character that would survive two jinjuriki level ninjas with legandary items and 20 akatsuki level members all at once.

Tobirama is not the cause of the Uchiha being wiped out, it was Madara's salty attitude and Danzo falsely accusing them of controlling Kurama to attack the village.

Tobirama is not to blame for anything, he treated them fairly, he didn't oppress them and they shouldn't of plot the coup to the point of their name being dragged through the mud. Tobirama didn't indirectly caused their deaths, Danzo wiped them out so he could take their Sharingan for himself and he ruined Shisui's plan to stop the rebellion by taking his Sharingan.

Coming back to the naruto verse, when im a decade older, had me realizing Tobirama was actually an underrated character that had a lot of potential. Not to mention, he's become my fave Kage and shinobi all in all. Years ago, i'd have picked naruto, or itachi, or kakashi. But man, the perspective changes with age. His intellect and pragmatism really grounds things when exposed to optimists like hashirama and naruto. And also powerwise? I like my characters without hacks like literal god incarnates, or super rare powers. I like them powerful enough to go toe to toe with these gods, as normal as they can be. Tobirama might not be on the level of his brother or Madara, but the guy's almost there. Plus, he clearly /thinks/ where most would be overly emotional or illogical when making decisions. Brawns and Brains. And with his principles and emotions intact, too. Leaderlike in all ways possible. Gods, if only there was a prequel instead of a sequel to naruto. I'd have watched every bit of it, esp where the konoha founders are concerned.

Nobody mentions the fact that in the Uchiha vs Senju war it was Tobirama who tilted the scales in favour of the Senju by killing his opponent Izuna first. A feat even Hashirama could not achieve with Madara. Till Izuna's defeat the war was pretty even but after that event, victory was evidently going to belong to Senjus sooner or later. Madara could not have taken both Hashirama and Tobirama in an all out battle but most probably would have got wiped off sooner. Tobirama, as his name suggest in Japanese, is the underlying reason for many major world events in Naruto which Kishi very smartly placed in his manga. Its upto the readers to figure it out.

Tobirama Senju is one of my top 3 favorites. I wonder if Naruto could defeat him in battle. I know naruto has massive power, but Tobirama has a massive jutsu arsenal and brains that far surpass naruto. If Tobirama uses edo tensei and summons some old senju we've never seen or even izuna uchiha... yeah that would be epic.

Like Tobirama said, Hashirama was strong af, but he was naive and didnt understand that reality is much colder than his fairy tale of everyone living peacefully together with no real rules or order.
