During the process of making How Strong videos! I use a multitude of different sources (Google,Reddit,Wikia Even KZbin and etc) and things to make my job of filming videos like this easier! To find scans much faster. What I want people to realize...Mongul and Wonder Woman in that episode of the Justice League Unlimited was based off of the a Superman annual comic "The Man who had everything" from 1985, where Mongul was stronger than Diana...because at that time, Wonder Woman only possessed the strength of Hercules. Where as in modern/current continuity...Wonder Woman has possessed the strength of Gaea, the earth itself since 1987, after Crisis on infinite earths, and she was reimagined by George Perez. This is the Diana were talking about now. The JLU show purposely nerfed her in this episode...because so many people had been complaining that Diana appeared to be STRONGER than Superman in season 1 of the Justice League animated series. And this was mostly due to Diana coming out on top when she fought Superman in the episode "Paradise Lost" So they decided to toned her back down ito pleased fans. Diana is on a very similar/comparable level of strength to Clark and Mongul.

Very true. I heard of this. It was so strange when the production team to the initial Justice League had to dial back WW powers because the fans got upset and why? For once, the production team actually got a comic book character accurate on a series. There are many times in the comics WW has been on par or even beat Superman. Sometimes the fans mess things up.

Thank you for making this video! I’m a huge long time fan of Wonder Woman and I often get upset when the writers down play her powers! They really need to make her a permanent cosmic being. I would love to see a Wonder Woman who is as respected for her powers as much as Superman, The Phoenix or Zeus is.

Personally I think Wonder Woman has advantages over Superman, she is not vulnerable to Kryptonite and doesn't need the yellow sun for her powers. If you saw the Flash movie, they kept Kara in a red sun emulated underground prison where she became powerless. Wonder Woman doesn't have these vulnerabilities.

DCAU Wonder Woman is definitely one of the powerhouses of the Justice League. While she is relative to Superman and capable of harming him, I believe Wonder Woman's fights with Kalibak and Mongul show that Superman is stronger than her a significant margin. Superman regularly defeated Kalibak, who legitimately defeated Wonder Woman, and Superman was actually able to harm Mongul and possibly defeat him, who pretty much overpowered and almost killed Wonder Woman. Superman just has a significant edge, even if Wonder Woman is relative to him. Also, while DCAU Wonder Woman has defeated legitimately overpowered and defeated Giganta, it has been shown that Giganta has the capability to defeat Wonder Woman as she has technically defeated Wonder Woman at least in 2 occasions during the DCAU. I honestly respect the DCAU Wonder Woman. Can you do videos on more different versions of Giganta, starting with the DCAU Giganta?

Superman is stronger than Wonder Woman and able to defeat opponents that she cannot; however, WW's skill and OP weapons allow her to defeat Superman most of the time if they ever fight. Kind of rock, paper, scissors.

There were a couple times I had to laugh at Batman, when he tried to talk her into going back home to hide once Trigon possessed Superman (as if he could battle Trigon better than her) or when he said he won't date fellow leaguers because they would use them to come after him, um yeah. So he turns down Diana because his enemies would use her to get to him? Good luck with that.

I think the game changer is her martial arts skill. In role playing games they include statistical comparisons, and clearly show Wonder Woman's fighting skill is beyond most (Batman is at the peak of human martial arts ability, and in the comics he was taking fighting lessons from her!) imagine someone is stronger than you, but they have bar fights now and then, whereas you are the reigning champion MMA fighter? She could win against stronger foes using counter attacks, parries, locks and throws - all at superspeed of course.

@@IvaNTheUnStoppable in all of the instances Kalibak fought Diana in tye comics he was able to hang with her a little but she always had the upperhand and yeah losing to mongul isn't unexpected but hurting her hand doesn't make any sense whatsoever

I'd say that this version of wonder woman in the DCAU was powerful and has a decent showing of her strength feats, but this version of wonder woman in these animated series (except fatal five) are pretty run-down versions of how powerful and skilled wonder woman is as a warrior born princess with centuries of combat experience on her shoulders. But, in the fatal five, I'd say that they portrayed wonder woman pretty well when they gave her the sword to use in battle. Also, her strength feats actually show how powerful she can punch when she was fighting the Persuader (armor guy with the ax) you see how her fighting skills were put to the action, to include her using her sword (minus the shield).... and you see how she punches the guy and sends him flying into a mountain after trading blows with her sword. The fatal five does better in portraying wonder womans abilities and how powerful she is though the same design. Now if these writters were to actually portray the cannon wonder woman, she is astronomically much more powerful than what shows in the JL/JLU/ Fatal Five DCAU films. If they were to portray wonder woman as such from the actual canon comics, she would be a beast and very much on par with superman in terms of strength, she would be much more and extremely powerful and planet shattering to the touch, and her fighting skills on top of that. (If it was cannon) like I said again...

Bruce Tim has also said he’s not in charge on what’s Canon or not. There’s even been animated content within the DCAU continuity that Bruce Tim wasn’t involved with, but that stuff is still considered canon. Like certain animated DCAU movies. DC is notorious for having multiple different writers for different projects.

Welcome to the world of DC. This isn’t like anime on how there’s only one writer and one soul decision-maker. I’m not a big fan of this myself, but I don’t make the rules. DC and people like that are known to have multiple different writers directors and everything out through all sorts of media. With that being said, not all the writers and directors, are backtracking and rewatch previous stuff to ensure accuracy? Bruce even said it himself he’s not gonna go back and rewatch every episode to make sure stuff doesn’t contradict. Earth 12 isn’t DCAU? Then what earth is DCAU ? DCAU has an official earth number only u know about or something? Cause as far as we know we only officially have earth 12 from dc guidebooks and stuff
