Me personally in my opinion I feel like they just don't compare enough to the Infinity Stones

@user-fn5we8mr6b I don't think they were ever meant to be Infinity Stones. Infinity Stones are like event level artifacts These rings of power are meant to be consistent story rings that Mandarin consistently uses The difference between the two is that you can't have Infinity Stones in every story it will make the story boring and the character using the stones pretty much invincible While these rings make a character powerful they don't make them invincible so you can use them more and consistently as standard gear

Mandarin being Iron man's archvillain instantly puts into perspective how powerful, smart and resourceful he must be to even win ONCE. Mandarin needs to be the final boss of the upcoming Iron man game.

Iron Man 3 thought they were being sUbvErSivE by changing The Manderin, but they miss the whole point of who he is and what he represents. He's Tony's archenemy because it's a cultural clash, West Vs East, Technology Vs Spirituality, Science Vs Magic and their rivalry is supposed to show that neither one is better than the other.

Ivan, I just found your channel in the past 4 weeks. I started collecting Marvel comics 40 years ago. I've watched Comic explained for years and recently been expanding to other channels. I think you do a great job and you are funny too. Keep up the great job! Keep young people interested in comic books!

So,the question to me is,then why did he never make it to Magneto or Doom level?Because,he was obsessed with Ironman.He wasted his time puttering around with Tony in a dick measuring for years,until he lost "absolute" control over the rings,and laments all the time he could have been threaten the world with pulling the moon down or plunging Washington DC into the Dark Dimension.He's a cautionary tale super-villians tell each other.

After this video, I feel like Doctor Doom is some kind of influencer brat who's just constantly talking sh*t and trying to get as much attention as possible while Mandarin is that legitimate rich yet discreet entrepreneur who already won the game and just let the spoiled kid have his fun... as long as he doesn't start a beef with him, of course.

Doctor Doom is both the quintessential mad scientist and mad wizard, to the point that the one thing he can never fix is looking like an experiment in mad science or mad wizardry just blew up in his face. Doctor Doom is the master of every dark, FANTASTICAL secret that might make a man a god or blow him to Hell, or both at once. As such, he is the embodiment of the hubris that lead Reed Richards to ignore Ben's warning that the ship didn't have enough radiation shielding, an act of arrogance that lead to his family becoming freaks, and Ben, the very person he ignored, becoming the most gross freak of all. The Mandarin is the quintessential MAN OF IRON or a human WAR MACHINE. He was trained almost from birth to be the perfect soldier and conqueror, bankrupting his estate and ruining the lives of all the people who depended on that estate for employment. He is the military industrial complex in one man, ruining the lives of the common man to pay for him becoming a one man military. He then adventured into other lands, found valuable resources there, and enslaved the locals around those resources. He is every man who ever went into another land and enslaved that land for oil, gold, chocolate, bananas, uranium, you name it. As such, he is the embodiment of entitlement and aggression that lead Tony Stark to aid in American imperialism abroad. Both Doom and The Mandarin study mysticism. Doom studies dangerous, FANTASTICAL, magical/sorcerous secrets that might damn the soul to Hell or otherwise blow up in his face, and which inevitably DOES blow up in his face. The Mandarin studies martial-arts-linked chi-mysticism, a simple, solid form of magic that enhances the body, allowing one to punch harder, endure more damage, be more of a manly man, a MAN OF IRON. Both Doom and The Mandarin study science. However, Doom is known for his absolutely insanely arrogant experiments, experiments that often result in him having godlike power, but which inevitably blow up in his face. Doom is a mad scientist, cranked up to 11. The Mandarin, on the other hand, is more of a conquering technologist, reverse engineering alien tech, the tech of kidnapped scientists, stolen blueprints, and combining the whole via slave labor into monstrous war machines like the Dragon of Heaven. He is a looter and reverse-engineerer who corrupts the science he conquers. Doom covers himself in armor that is both technological and magically enchanted. There is a shame implicit in this, but also a suggestion that he wants to show off his technological and magical superiority. He has literally covered himself from head to toe in science and magic. He dresses as one who is ashamed of his body, but proud of the products of his intellect. The Mandarin rarely wears armor, and, indeed, sometimes goes about half-naked, his chest bare and sometimes his legs bare as well. To the degree that he does clothe himself, this clothing is generally in the form of ostentatious symbols of wealth. Gold rings with large gems. Business suits with leopard-print tie and leopard-print scarf, or martial artist clothing made of silk. He dresses(or undresses half the time) as one who is proud of both his masculinity and his wealth. It's clear to me that the Mandarin was designed as a caricature of pre-redemption Stark: an imperialist/colonizer who revels in both his masculinity and his wealth. Someone raised to be an overachieving man of iron obsessed with becoming superior in mind, body, and spirit, and with military dominance. Doom was designed more as a caricature of the Fantastic Four's worst traits. But I can see how he works as a POST-redemption-arc Stark gone wrong. A Stark who still becomes ashamed of his body's frailty, and who is inspired by his awareness of mortality to make the world a better place, but who goes about this in a manner devoid of empathy. That makes him very different from the Mandarin, who is a PRE-redemption Stark who just kept on being that boy raised to be obsessed with masculinity, wealth, and military dominance/empire building.

I wonder why they didn't go with the original design of 10 rings of power from the comics in the MCU. Instead they opted for them as bracelets. It still was cool seeing mandarin throw hands in shang chi.

I guess Marvel covered their own, but by giving the actual comics, the MCU version of the rings as well lol So it’s like more than one set of rings in the comics currently yeah in current comics! The Shang Chi movie actually inspired the comics to make a new set of rings

Mandarin needs his breakout moment. An auteur film, rated R. Serious actor. A transcendental film with no genre. Pure unrestrained art. Iron Man need not even be in it. I know its a stretch, but its better than Jonah Hex/Madame Web/Thor 2/Ant 3 corporate claptrap
