I've been experiencing this first hand, switched from hard carry to support and can already see how much of a difference it makes. in these low brackets (herald/guardian) supports don't usually support so as a carry you're not getting much help. being a medium support in these games has been enough to "enable" my carry and win them lanes and sometimes games.

Also if you like to play mid, being good at supporting will make you a lot better as a position 2

at lower ranks, if you see the enemy pos 1 free farming, its good to block camps with sentry at mid game. ive always watched my replays. every minute, i watch enemy pos1 waste time walking to empty camps and is forced to show at lane where we can catch him.

Currently I always looking for lesson on how to extend game because there will be games that all 3 lanes are lost. I understand cutting creep wave will be the way but most of the time, my support pick can really nuke the whole waves or I am too scared to do it.😅

if you only have 1 sents as a pos5 and you're a range hero, you don't need to use sents to deward, use it to block their camp instead. now if you're a melee, that's the only time you use deward since you need to pull than to harass them since it's hard for melee.

How can you explain to your teammates if a support (position 4) isn't able to provide value during the laning phase? For instance, I often get blamed and reported for leaving the lane because I can't help sustain my teammates during the laning phase. For your information, I currently play in the Divine bracket.

Just communicate it. Share whatever you're doing to your teammates. For example if i wanna go to rune I'll just say " hey tide I'm going to secure power rune, be careful ". " I'm stacking for you so you can recover " " I'm gonna gank this lane and come back " If they still die and be toxic then you mute them and focus on your game. If they flame you, don't explain yourself, just say my bad and move on or mute them because you're only going to play 1 game with that person. You're only going to lose your energy explaining yourself because those who flame don't care about what you're saying. You'll start playing bad if you let the toxicity get to you so it's either "my bad" or mute. This helped me win many games where 2 people start fighting and type GG 5 mins into game. Give positive energy to your teammates and you'll have 60-65% chance of winning the game ( because enemy team will also have toxic players ).

Not sure how to decide who the best sup player is. 9Class is always doing something cool in every game. It's fun to watch his game ( makes me happy ). He's currently the highest mmr support player.

i guess there's never an "easy way" to win every game and gain mmr. enemy supports do these things as well and thats the hard part. at the end of the day it all comes down to how the cores will play. i cant rank up cuz some idiot doesn't use their brain when picking and goes venge offlane/ES mid/LC mid. i hardly lose my lane (either win or drawn lane) but our team still loses cuz my spirit breaker offlane refuses to charge people and chooses to afk farm in lane.
