i'd totally play this hero but i am VERY bad at creep cutting. even though i managed to get to 6k mmr, i always struggled with creepwave manipulation during hard lane matchups. and it looks like creep cutting is a very integral part if you wanna play nyx because his laning is not good.

Dont trust any videos of this type "pick /hero_name and win". The only gain mmr that is possible, its when you're spamming hero which personally you like.

Playing meta heroes is really important to gain mmr, it gives you an edge, talking from experience. If you don't like to play Nyx, don't play it, but in case you do, this video will help you a lot.

Yeah, boots are not that important on Nyx, they can be skipped.

Is their any matchup where you would actually take the mana burn facet over the movementspeed one? Like against a Medusa, Storm etc.? Or is it just not good enough?

situational actually. 80 agility gives you good attack speed, armor and attack damage.

@@AhsanDota also let's you farm better and reach the endgame items quicker if the match hasn't been closed yet but the enemy doesn't seem to group up too much. The attack speed also racks up the damage that Mind Flare will deal before the 5 seconds of its activation. So putting some melee attacks will help increase Mind Flare just as dagon, impale or vendetta would do.

@AhsanDota I find taking AoE Mind Flare and Aghs work a lot better for late game. Agility can help with pushing as well, but unless your line-up didn't have a pusher, Nyx provides more value being burrowed constantly stunning and looking for opening to Vendetta than staying unburrowed in the open hitting turrets.

@@noctarem96Yeah, but if you have EB, the combo breaks. You still benefit from the armor with Aghs, but just straight up lose the attack speed and damage, so improving Mind Flare is usually the better call with extra cast range and cdr from Aghs.

i have been a nyx spammer but not in the recent patches. Its true that nyx laning is quite weak and you showed us how to manage it with better lane techniques. But i want to ask, is dagon mandatory for nyx? if I'm just gonna leave it at lvl 1, would it be wise to skip it for lets say dagger or fs? is aghanin really just a luxury item or there's some worth in skipping dagon in favor of early aghs?

@@raflyarafat4882 you can skip dagon if you feel like you'll not get value from dagon in the game. aghs used to be a good item on nyx long ago, i haven't made it in a while so can't really say much about it but if it's working for you then go for it. I usually go for items like ghost scepter eul dagger dagon kaya yasha ethereal octarine for damage purpose and survivability. In my opinion you get more value from other items compared to aghs.

He's universal now, not agility, so basically you can play him however you want. I did do that in my last nyx game, and it worked wonders. Khanda would be a must, and also you can't go wrong with an abyssal blade.

One extra tip from a turbo nyx spammer: khanda, or at least the phily, is a must. Flare after vendetta to set up a sure stun. I mainly play nyx as offlaner or pos4. Alas, turbo being what it is, not sure how practical it is to get one in ranked games, but the next time I do go ranked, I'll be sure to find out.

Nah, get Parasma instead. Slow on Vendetta + magic shred. Khanda is still good, but only for executing with Mind Flare, not for setting up the stun.
