Sorry, but I think Bhutan's tourist tax is sustainable. If you want to see unsustainable tourism in Asia, look no further than Japan (I still love Japan, but they're having an overtourism problem right now).

Bhutan is a kingdom and the govt is cautious about people who support the abolishment of the monarchy.

12-7-2021 Tibet’s first bullet train line enters service
@happymelon71295 ай бұрын
For the first time, travelers in Tibet can enjoy the area’s mountainous views at high-speed. A 435-kilometer (250-mile) rail line connecting Tibetan capital Lhasa with the city of Nyingchi entered into service on June 25, giving all 31 provincial-level regions of mainland China access to high-speed train travel. 47 tunnels, 121 bridges Building a high-speed railroad in Tibet, dubbed the “roof of the world,” was no easy feat. Some 90% of the route, which took six years to construct, sits higher than 3,000 meters above sea level. The Lhasa-Nyingchi line features 47 tunnels and 121 bridges - which account for about 75% of the whole route. This includes the 525-meter-long Zangmu Railway Bridge, the largest and highest arch bridge of its kind in the world.

Why Bhutan is not allowing Chinese workers in the country like you do with the Indian workers? Personally I would like to have a Chinese build highway road,bridges,building construction, high speed trains then one that we are having falling bridges,crack roads and never ending hydro project construction in Bhutan now! First Bhutan needs to think what is the best interest for Bhutan and then lets see what happens New Delhi ? instead of living under the false fear of upsetting New Delhi and never having a chance of getting to know your other side of wealthy next door neighbor like China is not only a lost opportunity to Bhutan but also to its big brother India. Let’s put this emotion aside and have a good trade deal with china. Politically, China has no interest in Bhutan becoming a communist country. China has economy tries with over 155 countries globally and that includes America and EU. And remember China never have invaded a single one yet.
