the people that are like mad they keep talking about the delay just have never worked for something in their life bro. imagine practicing for months for weight lifting giving up time you could be doing anything else and at the competition at the last minute they tell you you can only use one arm. like bro. its heartbreaking. eskay and him put so much practice in this just to get screwed last minute. but s/o to gumi and ultima. they lookes good and improved as well. i hope this doesnt overshadow the progess they made in the game as well.

@@makaisonn7030but there’s also the case of the characters. Blanks isn’t a bro’s dead character, but his reach far, and has 3 ways of doing it, his spiny move, command grab and slide. With a delay, especially against a command grab like his, there’s no other way to say it, but you are at the disadvantage. And Luke, while not necessarily better than Juri, is much better at zoning and keeping neutral. Eskay couldn’t really party his fireballs, which were really the only consistent and safe way of approaching him as juri. Just by pure chance, they both ended up against characters that their ones would be weak to in a certain aspect that the lag made much more so, since both there characters really require you be get in constantly
@razedeye3 ай бұрын
@@makaisonn7030lots of people have already explained. His character has the biggest disadvantage with the delay because Cammy’s whole gameplay based on the reactions and good timing. It’s just how character works. Blanka is easy to play with the lag because you don’t need to be precise, you can just mash buttons and do the insane damage. The delay basically crippled Sykkuno’s character while for Gumi’s character it was just a scratch.
@makaisonn70303 ай бұрын
@@pian-0g445 I understand everything you are saying. I am discrediting nothing. I'm just saying there's one system. Nobody played on the set up they practiced on. So everybody had to adapt. Some better than others. It's OK.
@Kalutikat3 ай бұрын
@@makaisonn7030 Clearly you don't understand what he is saying. As a Cammy player you don't adapt with that kind of lag, its unplayable for the character which needs precise inputs. Blanka meanwhile thrives in lag, this happens in a lot of fighting games, Lowain in granblue comes to mind where he just stomps people when the game has big input lag.

That's rough. When you have a full second of input delay in a fighting game, it's tough for experienced players, let alone someone just starting out. Not to mention Cammy REALLY suffers in those conditions, especially against blanka ball.
@SinkToTheBeat893 ай бұрын
To give context to how impossible reacting to Blanka is with 1 second of delay, note that the PEAK of human reaction speed is 100ms. In the FGC(fighting game community) we measure time in frames (60 frames per second, fps). This means the fastest the peak of humanity can react is 6 frames(6/60th or 1/10 of a second). Studies show that the best average reaction is 180ms(12 frames) and 12 frames is often used in the FGC as the basis for determining if something is reactable or not in the game. Blanka Ball starts up anywhere from 10 to 22 frames depending on the level used. The jumpy grab starts up from 34 to 43. So while on paper this SHOULD be reactable on all but the fastest blanka ball, due to the monitor delay of 1 ENTIRE second(60 frames) by the time you even see the move happening its already hit you. With 1 second of delay, it is literally physically impossible to react to.
@SinkToTheBeat893 ай бұрын
In short, by the time the very first animation frame of the slowest move Blanka uses here, the jumpy grab, the MOMENT it appears on screen, you were already hit by it 17-26 frames ago.
@evilded23 ай бұрын
To be far it was probably less than a full second delay, anyone would immediately be able to visibly see that. Anything over ~10f of delay is still functionally unplayable.

I doubt the general Twitch NA scene even knows about CRC's existence. Vtuber watchers are only familiar with it bc of JP corpo vtubers that participate in CRC competitions regularly. NA gaming culture is different from JP after all, so unless v-tubing becomes mainstream in NA gaming competitions, I doubt anything would change to cater for the vtubers.

@@zm6rnachrnau It sounds like the Twitch NA scene is behind on a lot of things, including how to make a basic gaming setup for a tournament. Vtubers are pretty popular in NA in general, 'catering' to those types of players and appealing to a wider audience would likely be a net positive. Broaden your horizons and all that.
