so if my rear brake pads are worn , the pressure wil be greater on the front pads ? as rear brake cylinder is already at maximum opening and wont let any more fluid to go there ?

If brake pads wron, the caliper piston will push out more and more to firm pads and rotors, and stick with same distance. The caliper push/return distance is base on caliper piston's O-ring, it should be same all the time. But if your caliper have stuck guide pin or stuck piston, the travel distance will not be the same and what you say actually happen.

i assume its just so that the pistons can go back so that it doesnt build pressure when it resets
