Did a 400-mile round trip from Vancouver WA to Edmonds WA for a Christmas Eve family get-together on v13.2.2. Only 1 disengagement, and that was just before getting home, turning into my neighborhood! It is so amazing with city lane merges and roundabouts, hundreds of miles of I5 including 80mph driving and stop and go driving (in Seattle), then neighborhood driving and errands around Edmonds. The disengagement was because the turn into my neighborhood is from a suicide lane where you can turn in both directions. This instead of a dedicated turn lane, and it, for some reason, won't get into the suicide lane to make the turn. Silly error by FSD. Also rained on the drive home heavily 3 times, and fsd never gave up. It reduced its top available speed during the heavy rains and moved over to the slowest lane, but was able to at least stay at the speed limit. Sped back up again as the rain eased off to full hurry mode speed and performance!

little by little each update is taking care of little things. I wonder which version will be "perfect". NYC is a perfect place to test cuz there are so many crazy streets and turns with weird turn lights for bikes and not cars and pedestrians etc. Great vids

Unfortunately first drive in NYC v13.2.2 had a critical disengagement. Somehow went on opposite side of the road. You may or may not experience the same thing

How did they make it work so well on v12. Also I think I have to clean my windshield where the cameras are. And will see if that improves performance.

@@FSDRoboRides It's likely just a tolerance situation. It's ability to see didn't change but it's tolerance for precision did, so it now gives up in situations where it previously did not, as something changed its confidence. I expect (and hope) we'll see it regain confidence in future version and prove to be capable in bright light.

On direct sunlight blinding camera issue, maybe window tinting company can come up with a cheap solution, like giving camera a sunglasses, and FSD may still work. Ultimately, it really should be Tesla adjusting own camera settings, to tolerate sunlight better.

Yeah that’s a tough one. And it only takes a split second on direct sunlight.

Don't you think Tesla would have changed the camera setting in newer models if this could not be solved? It's getting better and better. Red hand does not mean, it can't handle it, it's just not there yet to take full responsibility. When my rear camera is fully covered with salt from wet roads in winter, it also says that it's not able to park itself. But it sees all the parking spaces and obstacles perfectly what I can see in the rendering. It's just too cautious at the moment.

A really, really good human driver could beat the Tesla for a short time. Ultimately, the Tesla gets better at driving over time. Eventually, it may become illegal to manually drive a car.

The cab driver seems like the worst drivers in New York. I guess they’re just used to driving around in this mayhem every day, so they’ve become less considerate. In these videos, you constantly see the cabs cut people off, yet then they won’t let others in. Craziness.

You’re not wrong-New York cab drivers seem to have their own rulebook! They’re probably so used to the daily chaos that it’s become second nature to drive like that. It’s a constant mix of cutting people off and refusing to let others in. Definitely makes for some wild moments in the videos!
