All college football fans are FINALLY going to get an actual postseason for the first time in history. This truly is a momentous occasion for all of us. Not only does this 12 team playoff make the postseason much more exciting and meaningful but also gives us much better matchups in the regular season because a team can lose a couple of games and still get in. It really is a shame that it took this long.

Crazy fact. The top 3 teams (by conference record) in the ACC do not play each other this season. SMU, Miami, and Clemson do not meet at all during the regular season. Those 3 win out, (a very real possibility) , there will be an 11-1 ACC team who was undefeated in conference play that will be left out of the ACC championship game. The other crazy part is that SMU and Clemson are tied in the first ACC 4 tie breakers. If the championship was held today, they would have to go to #5 which is: "The fifth step will be for third-party SportSource Analytics to determine a Team Rating Score at the conclusion of regular season play and the team with a higher score will advance to the Championship Game."

I think Boise state could lose to UNLV , but then beat them in the conference title game, and still have a chance to make it , but they'd need help from other G5 teams losing

If Boise loses to UNLV and turn around and beat them in the Championship, then the only other G5 team they have to worry about is Tulane (and MAYBE Memphis)... Because I believe Tulane is going to beat both Army and Navy and it will put them in the rankings.

North texas is also good and will probably beat tulane tomorrow..So even if tulane beats navy we will see Army vs NAvy in the AAC championship game..That’s if both teams go undefeated and or lose one game..If navy beats tulane and Notre dame they will be in the top 12. We could get two G5 teams in the playoffs..Cause half the teams in the current top ten are gonna lose 1-2 games in november it’ll be wild..We could have army/navy ranked 11th and BSU with the 12 seed.

@@Kayluv101 2 G5 teams in the playoffs is wishful thinking. They would put 3 loss SEC or Big 10 teams in before they put 2 G5 teams in even if they were both undefeated. And tbh, I don't think Army and Navy are as good as their record. Neither team has played anyone good yet. Tulane isn't gonna lose anymore games this year, their only losses were against power 4 teams and they played both games close. And they really should have beaten Kansas State but bad play calls ruin the game.

If Bama had your Mindset, they wouldn't have beat us. If Vandy had your mindset, they wouldn't have beat Bama. If Georgia had your mindset, they wouldn't have beat Clemson or Texas. Etc... All these games where the underdogs win. Thats what casual, biased fans can't logically comprehend, games are played and won on the field. Not by rankings, not by predicted spreads, not by past stats. Not only does paid sports analysts say and agree Georgia has one of the toughest schedules, but the NCAA actually recognizes Georgia's schedule as one of the hardest schedules in CFB at this very moment, if not THE hardest. My bold long shot pick: SMU will be the #4 seed in the final playoff bracket. They are going to be a heavy favorite in every remaining game. The odds are high they’ll finish the regular season a perfect 8-0 in ACC play. Then they’ll just be an ACC Championship game win away from a top 4 seed in the playoff.

@@HarrisHighlights ah, the top 25 IS extremely bias, before last Saturday it had Texas at #1 WHY? up until that point Texas's schedule was cupcake city! they had beaten NO ONE. Michigan was way down, from last year, which was not their fault, but... They did happen to draw the cupcake straw from the SEC this year, as UGA is their LONE tough SEC game all year (instead of every week). Now back to Indiana, yes their schedule is kinda easy too, but the pollsters hate them, WHY? The poll is suppose to be based on this year's performance, not program's history. So Texas gets love, Indiana gets hate. (not a fan of either, plus don't get started on Miami and the ACC refs)
