I dont hold weak schedules against teams too much. I like to look at the significance of a game at the time it was played because a team could have had a hit start to the year, but flamed out. I still do look at the SOS and opponents records, but its not the end all be all for me

8:07 not a hot take good film evaluation and a small risk. They got blown out twice last season, Oregon and Washington state the rest were one score losses. I know their offense is good, i know their defensive weakness was the line. I know they brought in some defensive studs Samuel okunlola, BJ green, Dayon Hayes, Chidoze etc to fill out the line. I suspected players like Arden walker and Amari McNeil would step up. That handled one of the weaknesses from last year but the second was O line and i didnt think they’d have enough time to gel to fix the issues despite the additions so i had them at 9-3

There defense is allowing 8 fewer points per game and their office is scoring about 6 points more vs last year. That is a very good 14 point turn around. Consider, 2 years ago they led CFB in points beaten by in a loss. They lost by 29 points per game. From 1-11 loosing by 29 to 8-2 in 2 years is crazy.

They’re the exact same team they were last year. Still can’t run the ball, their OL is terrible when pitted against a half way decent defensive line, and when their defense plays a halfway decent offense they get wrecked. It’s Shedeur, Hunter, and 1-2 other receivers, exactly like last year. This team is benefiting from the BIG12 overall being even worse than expected, especially teams like Kansas State, Utah, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. If they somehow sneak in to the playoff, they’ll be wiped off the face of the earth. They’ll Lincoln Riley era Oklahoma.
