In the 1992 Constitution, the Chapter numbers are written at the top. Now each of the provisions begin with a number, and that is the article. Any additional provision(s) under the main provision you read becomes the clause or clauses and they may be broken down into sub-clauses, which have been numbered accordingly. I hope this helps.

That’s helpful so where does the section comes in?
@nutri-dietwithamasarpomaak8101
@nutri-dietwithamasarpomaak8101 3 жыл бұрын
If I get you well, I’m I right to say chapter 1 has 3 articles , each article starts numbering clauses from 1 in brackets (1) and the sub clauses are the alphabets in brackets?? Is that it?
@JselTutorials
@JselTutorials 3 жыл бұрын
@@nutri-dietwithamasarpomaak8101 Good, so both sections and clauses actually perform the same function and for that matter they can be used interchangeably by legal practitioners or experts. Just that, 'sections' are used more in contracts whereas 'clauses' are used more in constitutional acts. Therefore, when we hear lawmakers using both they are actually referring to the same thing just to make the document much clearer. 😊

sir please what is a referendum
@JselTutorials
@JselTutorials 3 жыл бұрын
Welcome. A referendum simply means a "yes" or "no" vote on a decision that is constitutionally related. For example, a referendum can be carried out when a part of the constitution which is rigid is to be changed. Also, a referendum had to be held to let the electorates decide whether new regions should be created in Ghana in 2018.
