Acedeck comes out with another killer board! I feel they are the most innovative esk8 company right now. So many options for this board. Scott, i use MBS bindings without heel straps "strapless". Heel straps lock you in completely which is needed for jumps but if u want something that helps u carve easier, this setup will help.

Not enough spare parts available yet, I will get one when more parts are in. I am off-road 99% of the time and my Propel gives me a range of about 37km in off-road conditions. The other thing I look for is consumer service, Propel has fantastic service. This could be my dream board. One concern I have is aluminum arms, can they handle the off-road over the long term???? we wait and see. For about $5000 I would expect nothing but the best. I have done about 1500km on the Propel in extreme off-road and it hasn't let me down, it's amazing. This board has a lot to live up to for that price range.

Definitely going to be your new favourite board I reckon....looks fantastic. My only small issue - "opportunity" would be to see these top mount boards come with smaller swappable batteries...say 14s2p...to reduce the weight down to something under 16kg if possible. MBS F5 all the way...gives you way more confidence offroad!

Hi Scott, I recently pulled the trigger on the nyx street with the 1036wh battery (pre order). It was a tough call between it and the off-road version but based on your review as well as others I came to the assumption (maybe not correctly) that it wouldn’t be that huge of a loss in off-road capability given that they are now including the off-road tires and that the gains in maneuverability and street carvability coupled with overall weight and cost savings would be an acceptable trade off, But with this new release and with the added capability and value at only 200 dollar increase with the similar range battery ,it changes the whole equation and like others I am struggling with some buyers remorse before even having the board in my possession. Was any of my logic sound and if so does it still hold up? I wonder how does the Z3 compare to the street in terms of carving and nimbleness? Or does the Z3 just completely blow it away in all regards ? Will it make the previous versions both somewhat obsolete unless you upgrade the trucks or do you still see a use case for choosing either of the older models? Thanks for your input and sorry about the TLDR.
@trishaleaver358116 күн бұрын
I use MBS full binding. I keep them slightly loose and keep my shoes slightly loose so if I crash the shoes slip out but never while rinding. The new MBS bindings with faceplate look very interesting. Thanks for the extra $25 off just ordered the 14s 4p 1036 wh. Looking forward to riding it. Bindings to me are extremely necessary. Helps with being able to keep the trucks relatively tight and still carve hard. Helps with leverage 😀 and I’m not constantly shifting my feet.

*Wow, absolute Beast of a board,* those trucks are 🔥 ⚡️🤟🏼🤟🏼⚡️ Such a clean mountainboard/top mounted design, perfect for Deckheads! For a big board it doesn't look bulky in design aesthetic at all, Acedeck's range really is so varied. Very few mountainboards tickle my fancy, this most definately does, if I get into some off road ridin I'd definately look at this again first, especially with that clearance and clean design. Appreciate that zoom in on the truck articulatin over the offroad/rough ride 👌🏽👌🏽 Great review as always mate 👏🏼👏🏼

Nice vidéo and board, Scott ! Use mbas or trampa foot + Heel straps. You will have a better control of the board and much, much more possibilities to turn and jump, of course ! Use them full, not only with foot straps: if you crash with only one of your foot in straps, it will not be good for you. If you crash with your feet attached to the board, you just stop (hard…).

Great review Scott! I definitely agree with the charger situation. Even with the 6 amp 350 watt charger it's gonna take 4-5 hours to charge the largest battery. That battery can easily handle a 15-20 amp charge rate. More manufacturers really need to get on board with fast charging options. I don't care if I have to buy the 2nd charger.

@ShaneGCESRG10 ай бұрын
How does the ride height or centre of gravity feel to you? I'm not as tall as you Scott, but I did notice that the foot placement without any bindings, had me feeling like my centre of gravity was to high, in that my legs were not as far apart as I would normally have them. Back foot against the ESC case, and front foot toes on the up slant of the nose. It was super noticeable when leaning into fairly sharp corners at speed on trails. With MBS F5 bindings or any bindings, your feet end up even closer together, just because the ESC case doesn't allow you to install bindings right on the rear up slant. I would most likely have one if not for that one issue. I know this board can rip, as i've had a few metal testing races with it down here on the GC.

Great video as always, Scott! I have MBS F5 foot bindings on my Z1 (no heel straps for now) and they make carving/turning much easier. For serious OffRoad I would recommend adding the heel straps. With just the foot straps, your feet and still vibrate out of place on rough terrain. Looking to upgrade to these Z3 trucks when they are available.
@PeopleDoingStuff10 ай бұрын
Trampa bindings look better imo. MBS seem a little more comfortable and precise. However I prefer the Trampa bindings for riding with very loose bindings in city and on trails as they hold their shape much better. Toe hooks are unreliable. I have broken a few and wrecked because of them.

Not sure why they don’t make them standard in 4WD. Any serious hard off-roading requires 4WD, anything else is just all terrain You went 62km/hr off road!! Holy shit!! I have hit 77km on road, but nothing over 40km off road for it slides all over the gravel and loses traction MBS bindings 100% I run full bindings on both my off road boards, but will spend have the ride with the heels lose. Riding off road without bindings reduces the experience exponentially. I’ve now put front bindings on my street boards too

What this guy said right here,4x4 offroad is a blessing compared to 2x4 so much more stable to have your front wheels drive over obstacles as apposed to being pushed over stuff makes a huge difference I'm running only toe strap front bindings at the moment Beverly sprained my left(back) ankle on a high speed step off about a month ago and haven't been able to use the back binding since, and I gotta tell ya I think it's the shit,having the ability to turn with your toes or heal over the rail cancels out the loss of binding lean, and I can still jump it fairly well, I only wish this board was for sale over black Friday lol
