Anita Hill was humuliated I remeber the case as a child. I remember so many people who didn't belilve her," pathetic". I am as a person upset to this day, at people who just overlooked her testimony. America sacraficed a woman of color intergrity without apology. This whole me two movement 25 years later has not ever given the woman who went forward any kind of acknolegement, in the standpoint of justice. Her counterpartners has gotten justice. I was in a situation like this at work and I was very forthright to the individual about his behavior, that it was inappropriate and unwanted and I made it very clear and yet his behavior continued and actually got worse, because he got off on the power of knowing he was humiliating me. It wasn’t until someone else went to HR about it and and I then said I would confront him and give him an ultimatum to stop, which I didn’t have to do…then he stopped. Only because of HR. I wasn’t being overly sensitive either, male coworkers had approached ME saying they thought he was crossing the line and offered to talk to him because they sensed I was so young and it was my first job out of college etc. that I may have felt intimidated to do so..and I was!

Very few. The social stigma is not worth it. Imagine being a man at a party, a woman you don't fancy rubs up against you/ and or rubs you. You: A. Say nothing and play it off (what most men do, its the best option for guys because they don't want trouble most of the time.). B. Say excuse me Ms. I did not appreciate that. C. Play along because you are caught so far off-guard that your default response is what you should do when a women gives you attention. B. Never happens. She might take revenge in whatever form she pleases, and there isn't anything you can do about it, you won't be believed. Any other girls around that witness this will think you are gay, which of course ends your social standing for the night. It isn't worth it.

People who weren't there in 1991 do not know that Anita Hill worked for Thomas twice. He made his "offensive" comments to her in her first job with him. If she was so offended, why did she work for him a second time? Sexual harassment is entirely at the discretion of the woman. I've worked with women who not find his comments in the least bit offensive and could easily match or out do his descriptions. Her actions back then show how disingenuous her charges were. Zero credibility then and now.
