Fun fact: Do you know that seagulls are actually like vultures,as they clean both clean up the environment? Seagulls will consume things they can eat from finding them in human rubbish ,while vultures consume carrion to prevent them from dirtying the environment, so yeah, technically, vultures and seagulls are useful birds and they can't be lost.
@luckas221a2 жыл бұрын
pretty sure the vultures don't it to clean the environment, more like they're scavengers in areas where there isn't much food available already and they literally go for leftover prey meat or animals that died already
@conf1dent588 Жыл бұрын
@@luckas221a doesnt change how important they are to our ecosystem, considering how much leftover prey meat and carcasses would be just left to decompose on the surface, the natural gases and whatnot that would fill the earth would be terrible.

@akunog36652 жыл бұрын
That was one aspect I didn't like about this video.. the first bird he claims the bird observed the bait fish avoided sunlight, so they decided to have this tactic.. it's anthropomorphizing the process of evolution.. Basically a bird a long time ago started using this tactic because of some mutation in his DNA.. This tactic worked well, so this bird was more likely to produce offspring, so the next season there are a handful of birds using the tactic, and they do well.. they are more likely to produce offspring, so the next season there are dozens of birds using this tactic.. until every bird is using the tactic because it gets them 2x food, so the ones who are not using the tactic tend to die off over time.. I'm sure there was a point in time where you could have observed some of the birds using the shade tactic, and some not.. But It's not that the birds came up with an idea and started implementing it, and built up a curriculum in bird school highlighting the pros and cons of the umbrella technique as the narrator would have us believe. nature is smart, but it's also brutal.. a lot of birds that did not use the umbrella technique had to die from starvation, or be left out of the mating process for this behaviour to take hold. It was not an idea that suddenly all the birds became aware of..
