when I moved to America I was shocked by the ads for medications "Ask your doctor if this medication is for you" . B1tch! If I have to ask my doctor if I need that meds, I'm at the wrong doctor. My doctor should know from the get go if I need it or not. And if I have to ask for it I should charge the doctor for the visit because I'm doing their jobs
@stillhere1425Ай бұрын
As overwhelming as the med ads are, they are a net positive. They spread the word about the HPV vaccine, educating the public that the virus is the leading cause for cervical cancer--not common knowledge before. There are HIV prevention meds we could only have dreamed possible in the 80s, and the frank approach of the ads to the idea of gay or casual sex encourages safer behavior as well as inspiring pharmaceutical companies to put money into developing new drugs for a formerly hidden market. Doctors can't know everything, and they're not immune to influence by sales reps, so if they suggest a medication, it's not necessarily because it's the best option. You might see an ad for a medication that potentially addresses your issue better than one you're taking. You can research it, decide to talk to your doctor about it, and you both are a little bit better educated.

Really enjoy your comedy. I do just want to mention that Dave Calhoun is a terrific CEO. He was our CEO at the Nielsen Company and he more than double the value of our company by doing very savvy moves. The trouble with Boeing started long before Dave got there, and the troubles goes so deep with so many people all the way down to the personnel who build the aircraft. The biggest blunder, producing the 737 Max was already done before Dave. That plane was scheduled to be retired and should have been replaced by a new design but to save money they decided to Frankenstein engineer the 737 which should have never happened. Dave has had to make very tough decisions but he is honest, ethical and makes extremely good decisions. That CEO chair was cursed and it could've been a lot worse with anyone else.

I came to check a notification and then put my phone into "no youtube/games" mode but this was at the top of my feed!! I couldn't wait until *later* to watch Josh Johnson!

Holy shit, the build on that Boeing door joke has me dead. For a second, everyone takes the "You matter" as inspiration, like it's good to hear these comforting words of affirmation. And then as he goes on, it starts getting a bit too real, and the crowd is starting to get uncomfortable like he's hitting too close to home. We're all starting to get emotional, a guy tries to laugh it off because he can't handle the silence...then the punchline lands and it is this massive comedic release. I haven't seen a joke so well executed in years.

Im acquaintances with a Boeing Engineer. She just focuses on her project and ignored all this going on. Smart woman.

Wow. Each weekly video of Josh Johnson worth the Netflix special. Probably the funniest comic of our generation. Can wait to see him live
