I really enjoyed this breakdown and the flow was very nice as you started with what changes the offense made to get better shots and also the key components that allow them to consistently play good on both ends of the ball. Dean wade breakdown was also very good and he is super underrated. Overall love the content‼️‼️

The net rating with the core 4 this year is alittle misleading since they are missing their starting SF. I’d like to see how Strus looks in the new offense with them. No disrespect to Okoro or Wade but Strus makes the offense much more dynamic
@marionemanzanilla29032 ай бұрын
Why does the rotation shorten in the playoffs? If you have a roster 10 man deep, and they've built chemistry and knows their roles, isn't it better to just play that same rotation they used in the regular season? Having a few rotation in playoffs would really wear the players down.
@SkalHoops2 ай бұрын
@@marionemanzanilla2903 in theory yes. But opposing teams tend to play their best 5 more in the playoffs. So I don’t know if I would trust a lineup of let’s say - DG Allen Merrill Jerome and Wade in big minutes against Boston’s starting 5. We shall see tho, the Cavs bench has been really great. All I’m saying it’s been against other teams bench units, where in the playoffs other teams wouldn’t be throwing out many bench units
@marionemanzanilla29032 ай бұрын
@SkalHoops and that's where fatigue will kick in, the cavs bench could defend and distribute the ball, push the pace and at least stop the starting five, imagine making the starting 5 play 35+ minutes, and they'll run the same sets and plays, compared to different line ups with different plays, with a faster pace it's hard to game plan against that.

Agreed- I thought it was interesting point that the strength in regular season could be a weakness in the playoff. I think that would be true for any given one game, especially an elimination game/game 7 but in a series fatigue would play a bigger role. Coming from a Cavs fan, I’m hoping this is the case and we can get out depth to shine past the first round.

Cavs last year had the best five man lineup per net rating in the nba, that’s all I disagree with

I feel like if something has been working then why change it in the playoffs? just keep doing what you’ve been doing cause it clearly works, teams gotta believe in their players after all they got you there why cut them off now?
@SkalHoopsАй бұрын
@@dimelo58 I agree 100%. My point was just that other teams tend to play their starters much more in the postseason. So those great bench units that the Cavs have will be going against tougher lineups in the playoffs. But again, those other teams starters will be more tired, so I guess we’ll see how it all plays out

maybe, just maybe Bickerstaff didn`t know how to design a play nor his coaching staff. The inconsistency of last season is gone because there is leadership
@Whaddayamean13Ай бұрын
Bickerstaff was a child. Giving out awards after every win and always yelling at the refs. Players then adopt the mindset that they’re entitled to things instead of earning them, freak out about petty shit like missed calls, and there you go.

This guy is clueless… he is judging a 12 straight winning team. Every last team that ran off 12 straight went to Finals or ECF and two won NBA championship. What he not understanding this team haven’t even reached their full potential capacity! The defense is slipping and Sam Merrit is not on track! I sorry, he isn’t a Cavs… your reasoning is flawed. Take Steve Kerr comments, you could see this coming… they were building towards. This Cavs team is so dynamic and built to beat Boston.
