Correction: Browns won a playoff game vs the Steelers in 2021
@inkdupslum Жыл бұрын
It was actually 2020 The Browns won a playoff game. In 2021 Baker Mayfield was terrible! Hopefully Watson can play to his full potential this season or we wasted a lot of money and draft picks for nothing. Which wouldn’t surprise me if he never gets back to how he was bc well it’s Cleveland we are cursed.

@Real Friends & Football no, bro. Maybe you don't get it. You blew it. You ruined this video in the first minute. When I say ruined, I mean you shouldn't have put it out and you should strongly consider removing it to spare yourself if not the world you just misinformed. You don't know enough about the club after spending an hour reading stats and articles online, to make this kind of video. You embarrassed yourself and now it's time for you to do the walk of shame and never make another Cleveland Browns video. You need to listen here, man. You're certainly welcome.

I can’t wait to see this defense under Schwartz and this offense under Watson! Andrew Berry is an underrated genius. I honestly think he’s best GM in the league. Getting Watson after Watson told them no and removed them from contention was pure brilliance. The Browns have so many haters. I love it! Forget being the “good” guys and embrace being the villains.

I'm a diehard Browns fan. Born, raised and still reside in Cleveland. Browns fans are optimistic before every preseason. We were actually excited after we signed Jeff Garcia, Jake Delhomme, Trenton Dilfer, Jason Campbell, RGIII and Seneca Wallace. We truly believed each of those QB's was going to take us to the promise land. I was one of the few fans that had no faith in Baker Mayfield and didn't believe he was the long-term answer, even after he beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs. I was beyond relieved the team didn't give him a massive extension and I was ridiculed for my skepticism. That's how blindly loyal Browns fans are. A lot of fans didn't pay attention to his established pattern of having a good year, then a bad year, then a good year, then a bad year. It's in our DNA to ignore redflags. I like what Andrew Barry did during this off-season. Upgraded the hell outta the defense and did it the smart way I'm optimistic about this teams potential. But the word cautiously should be in front of optimistic. The construction of this roster reminds me of the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles "Dream Team". I think the Browns current collection of talent is better then that roster. But it all boils down to Deshaun Watson and his historically massive gamble of a contract. If we get the Deshaun Watson we saw lighting it up from '17 to '20 the Cleveland Browns are a legitimate contender to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. But from what we saw in admittedly limited action last year, I'm not convinced the Texans version of Watson is what the Browns have taking snaps. He started off rusty and didn't improve all that much week to week to end the season. We got Derek Anderson level production at Tom Brady prices. The playoffs, Stefanski's job (maybe Berry's as well), and fan support all falls on the shoulders of Deshaun Watson. I PRAY I have to eat crow at the end of the season. The talent is there. Jim Schwartz was the perfect hire to fix this defense. The supporting cast Watson has around him on offense is fantastic. The Browns sport a top 5 offensive line, an ELITE running back in Chuɓb and a WR core that's much more talented and deeper then last year with Elijah Moore, Cedric Tillman and Marquise Goodwin joining Donovan Peoples-Jones and Amari Cooper, who proved he's still a Pro Bowl receiver last year. Everything this team needs it's to win a Championship is there. Hopefully it all comes together

@gabriel-contentwriter5578 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, well said. Keep in mind, last year they designed the offense around the skill set of Jacoby Brissett. Now, they will tailor-make it for DW, and with a whole offseason to prepare. He is the x-factor, and I do expect him to come out playing much better than he did last year.
@ChalkInTheLand Жыл бұрын
@@gabriel-contentwriter5578 I agree. I fully expect Watson to play better then last year. Obviously he was rusty after being off the field for so long. I'm just a little concerned that we didn't see marked improvement from his 1st game back to the season finale. But like you said he wasn't running the offense he'll be playing in this year At the end of the day the reason for my skepticism stems from being a lifelong Browns fan. We've been burned so many times by rosters we had that looked like legit contenders but proceeded to fall flat on their faces. I think keeping my expectations low makes it easier to deal with a disappointment of a season but at the same time makes it all that much better if the Browns live up to the hype and make a run in the playoffs
@gabriel-contentwriter5578 Жыл бұрын
@@ChalkInTheLand hahah yes, it's good to temper expectations. Too many people have been critical of Stefanski. I do think he needs to do better as a play caller in critical situations. But the guy is still 26-24 as a Browns coach, with two years marred by mediocore to poor QB play (injured Baker, and last year). Also, Woods was terrible and the defense has big time meltdowns. Lastly, we've really upgraded out special teams. AB has done everything. Now it's time to win. If we don't get hit hard (again) by injuries, I don't see much stopping this roster.

The reason I think this team is locked and loaded for a huge run is the fact that last year, our defense was the difference between a 10+ win season and a 7 win season, with a jacoby brissett lead offense (no disrespect intended) where the WR corp lacked in size and most importantly, speed. A rusty watson also still went 3-3. But most of all, I think they’re primed because they’re being heavily slept on.

I say the Browns go 12-5 easy. What will blow people away is the dedication and humility of the entire team. This one is for Jim Brown. P.S. If Nick Chubbs number 2 & 3 show up this season. I say 14-3.JHK

The Browns have a Super Bowl-winning defensive coordinator, beefed up their ABYSMAL defensive line from last season, and have one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL. If they can stay mostly healthy and actually win those SUPER CLOSE games that they ended up losing last season, they could win 11-12 games this season. The putrid defense is what ruined this team last season, and they are looking a LOT better now. Not getting my hopes up too high, but there’s no reason this team doesn’t make the playoffs this season- they definitely have the talent to get it done. We shall see!!

This is a 7-10 team, they are a very long way from being a Super Team, we as Browns Fans do this crap every spring, and then what happens during the regular season? The Browns have underacheived and finished in the basement of the AFC North for most of the last 24 seasons. I think a lot of people are setting themselves up for a huge disappointment. Looking at the 2023 schedule, the Browns are likely to start the season with a 1-3 record. This Browns team will be fighting to get a 500 record for most of the season, and if there are any significant injuries they will finish below 500, and probably in the basement of the AFC North.
