Looking at last year, the jets collapse game(up by 13 pts with 2 mins), Atlanta game, and Chargers collapse game, people don't realize how close to 10-7 this team was. With new defensive players and Schwartz as dc+deshaun , Moore, etc. 10 wins should be the floor and 12 the ceiling

This guy knows what hes talking about. Fire take you hit the nail right on the head. The falcons beat them with a 5th string running back. And Brissett threw a bad pick in that chargers game that was cost us dearly. And that jets collapse Hunt ran outta bounds twice wit hjust over 2 minutes and Chubb scores. I dont blame coaching my RBs should know the situation it better to be up 7 with 10 seconds jets have 0 timeouts than being up 14 with over 2 minutes left smh.

This is true. I can add the bengals and saints game in there as well. The Browns were a few plays away from being a playoff team last year without Watson. They can be undisciplined at time which costed them a few games last season. They're the only ones stopping them from making the playoffs this season.

Why do yall not give Stefanski any credit whatsoever. He got two sorry QBs to play over theri heads. BAker and Brissett are career backups. OH the browns led the league in first quarter points and first quarter leads. I expected a little regression from stefanski from 2020 year cuz the league adjusted to him. But I dont blame KS for the lat tow year injuries special teams and your defensive cooridnator and his assistants were more of the problem than Stefanski but we will see. I know one thing yall fans in cleveland are so impatient like your owner when it comes to coaches. You cant keep firing coaches every 3-4 years. You got a young talented coach sometimes you gotta let him grow for more than a 5 year period. Yall been bad for so long cuz yall are impatient with coaches. Watson peak was top 3. He’s only 27 too he’ll b better than that soon. Deshauns most recent full season was a better passing season than any qb in the nfl not named Mahomes or Rogers have had. Led the league in passing yards, 33 Tds 7 picks, highest completion % in nfl history, 2nd highest Qbr in nfl history. Also had the 2nd highest deep passer rating in the league, so he wasn’t dinking and dunking for that historic completion %. Bro also ran for another 400 yds and did all that w one of the worst coaches and o lines in nfl history. My man even took that team to the playoffs the year before off of 8 comeback drives. If D Watson has anything near a career year for himself, compared to his past best years, with the weapons the Browns have on offense, it's going to come down to how well the defense can shut the door. But the Browns offense is as scary as anything in the league this year. I'm not a Browns fan, lifelong Steelers fan here, but privately, most of us respect Browns fans... not a lot of us say it out loud. But you stuck by your team through a lot of bad luck and bad decisions. The Browns are always tough, and our cities have more in common than they don't. Objectively, this is the best offense on paper I've ever seen the Browns have in decades, maybe since the 1980s... probably better than that even. Peace.

Matt Schaub put up very similar numbers in his best season, but no one is saying he’ll be the top QB one day. DW made those numbers in an incredibly weak division and a lot of those numbers were in garbage time. His full stats paint a picture of a heavily flawed QB that lacks consistent throwing accuracy, especially with key downs, and someone that struggles to read good NFL defenses, which shows especially in his high sack numbers and his time holding the ball. It’s so sad the Browns fans have been duped again to thinking they have their savior, just like they did with Manziel and Baker. Exact same broken record. 😂😂😂

Jacoby Brissett was not the reason Browns went 7-10. It was the terrible run D, the huge errors in the defensive backfield due to miscommunication-the historic loss to the Jets in game 2 of the season was a real downer. The play calling at the end of games was also not great, specifically in 2 games I won't specify.

This team will probably only win 7 or 8 games. Let's be real, the Bengals and Ravens are still better than the Browns and the Steelers are at least even with the Browns. I am saying this as a Browns Fan since the 70s. Every spring we as fans put unrealistic expectations on this team, and every fall we are disappointed because this is just an average team at best.
@RealYRM

I know what you mean about expectations. I'm a Steelers fan and I know a lot of our year this year rides on whether Kenny Pickett can step up and be above average as a starter, because all the other pieces are there. Last year Pickett only threw 7TDs. I expect him to be better. Our Division IS stacked. The Browns though, this is the scariest collection of talent I've ever seen on the Browns going into a season. Coming from a rival fan who isn't rooting for you guys (though it's hard not to respect Browns fans for what you've all put up with, we wanted you to get your team back when Baltimore stole it)... seriously your offense looks like it could be ELITE. If D Watson is 'back' with these weapons? Browns = Elite.

I'm a Steelers fan, been watching the Browns since the great Browns teams of the 1980s as well. Honestly this does look like the best team that the Browns have assembled in a long time. As you said, it doesn't guarantee success, but, objectively, this is the most talent and drive I've seen together on the Browns since I was a kid. The offensive weapons are scary. The defense should be improved. I'm not saying the Browns will win the SB, but your team is built to do it... I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns won it all this year. I respect you guys for sticking by your team through some bad years, but objectively, this team isn't a bunch of wishful thinking, it actually LOOKS GOOD. If we don't win it, I hope you guys do. That might be true, but you've added two great WRs on offense and Watson is here for the full year and should be back to form, so I'd expect the Browns offense to be one of the best your city has ever had. If the Defense is just above average, the Browns could go all the way. I'm not a Browns fan, fan of a division rival, but objectively, it's hard not to respect Browns fans for your dedication and for the offense this team put together this off season. From the outside looking in, as a life long Steelers fan, I have to agree that this year, the moves the Browns made look better than a lot of other years. In the past, you all kind of had to hope that some rookie draft pick QB would live up to the hype. But this year, the offense has weapons like I've never seen on the Browns before. I think our division is going to be super tough for all four teams. Lamar has a lot of weapons in Baltimore, the Bengals are contenders, Kenny Pickett is a mystery still, but everything around him is set up for a better year from the weapons to the defense to the line. But the Brown's weapons on offense? D Watson, A Cooper, E Moore, DPJ, Njoku, Chubb? It's a hell of a threat. Good luck. Respect.

This guy didnt watch the browns just regurgitating the same national media narrative. Brissett played 10 times over his head he choked in the clutch throwing a pick in the redzone and looked just as bad as Watson did week 1. Other than that Brissett played over his head got himself another contract he shouldnt be the first person you criticize if you watched the browns. It was their defense blowing coverages and totally and having a young defensive line that hurt them. They let the falcons 5th string RB from the mac beat them and took their manhood in the 4th quarter. Actually In my opinion they didn't neglect it they just chose to play young guys to accelerate their development by letting them play early. Togai Winfrey Thomas Wright all got valuable playing time last year at least one of these 4 guys will surprise the others will be cut. But it wasnt Brissett it was the defensive coridnators fault. the defense giving up 250 blowing zone coverages. Once the middle linebacker went out the guys were always confused.

As far as our offense, lots of “Ifs” and our biggest question mark really is Kevin Stefanski being out coached routinely despite great talent. The secondary and D line is ridiculous now also have depth and dont give me they dont have Lbs as good as their front and secondary is My daughter could play linebacker and be fine. Chad Oshea Callahan Musgrave Alex Van Pelt with a mad scientist like Stefanski who dont get credit for coaching up mediocre Qbs to play well i.e. Brissett and Baker. All those veteran coaches are gonna have a field day with the qb and these weapons. The only thing to slow them down is garrett drawing 3 holding calls on the year while the browns top 10 ranked o line led the league with 28 holding calls. So not only did the refs tell myles during the bucs game youre getting held but your fighting through it so were not gonna call it. The fix was in last year. Over ruling the judge they appointed. the nfl wasnt gonna allow cleveland to win last year. Myles is doubled 38% and you allowing holding as well but you calling it on cleveland every chance you get thats not an anomly thats done on purpose cuz everyone hates watson and the browns. Whole AFC is dangerous, but you're right... The only question mark on the Steelers is if Kenny Pickett can take a second year leap, all the other problems were addressed. Pickett doesn't need to be as good as the other QBs in the division due to the defense, he just has to be good. Lamar Jackson has a lot of weapons. Andrews, Zay Jones, OBJ, Bateman, Dobbins. The Bengals offense is elite with Chase and Higgins, though Mixon has at minimum terrible judgment as a human being, Irv Smith Jr is the best TE athletically they've had in a while. The Browns offensive weapons are at least as good as those. D Watson, A Cooper, E Moore, DPJ, Njoku, Chubb? Elite. If your defense steps up, best Browns team in a while.

But your front and secondary is good and upgraded my daughter could come in and play LB and be decent.

Well, having been born and grown up in Cleveland on the West Side (Broadview and Oak Park) I've heard all this before. I can remember watching Jim, Frank, Leroy, Paul and other notable players from the last NFL championship they won as well as the Kosar years and my final comment will be "We'll see".

Brisset is a better QB than this guy we got now. Super Bowl? I hear this chatter now and then. Like John Dorcey said, you need to win in October, not in March. I think we have a good shot at third place, but hey why not us? Maybe second place, one game in the playoffs and then we can say Next year! WSuper bowl? WE are just a QB away. Lets go get someone!

If your defense is playing at a decent level, and you make the playoffs, with this offense, any result is possible this year. The Browns talent on offense is objectively elite, one of the best sets of weapons in the NFL. I've never seen the Browns have THIS much talent at WR, and you're finally using Njoku as a weapon. If Watson is back in form and your defense elevates to even above average, this team has a shot to go all the way. I'm not a Browns fan, but I've been watching the Browns for a long time as a rival fan, and this is the best offense I can ever remember you guys having.

@RealYRM
@RealYRM Жыл бұрын
Mayfield was just never quite as good as everyone thought he would be. I think A Cooper, E Moore, DPJ, Njoku and Chubb are more dangerous than any group of offensive talent you've had, so if D Watson plays at his Houston levels, it'll be a better offense than it was back then. I'm not a Browns fan, but objectively, this is the scariest offense I've seen. And people say E Moore had attitude issues but he's nothing like OBJ, Moore just wants to help the team win and not be completely ignored. This team looks hungrier and more capable of developing winning chemistry. In fact, I think OBJ will wear out his welcome in Baltimore and get into fights with Lamar Jackson and kill the team chemistry there.

@@michaelholt3222 Fair enough... a prove it mindset is fine. And if they can't prove it this year, I really don't think there can be many excuses at this point. If most of the key guys stay healthy, there's no excuse for the Browns not to make a run this year.

@@LunaticTheCat definitely. This year they have a good DC. Highly unlikely they will give up 17 points in the 4th qtr regularly like last year. If stefanski doesn't get to winning the excuses will be over. Baker did suck, but Jacoby wasn't bad and he wasn't why the D coughed up so many points per game. They are a mid tier team in their good years. They have the number of my Bengals but that number isn’t a secret it’s all about their top end d-line against what had been a very mediocre bengals o-line. They are very beatable with an o-line
