Thanks Larry, great description for something many other KZbin instructors struggle to explain.

This is not talked about enough!!! So many videos of people talking about going into flexion with lead wrist to shallow and close the face which is very unnatural for most people to do. Shallowing the clubface opens the face naturally unless you add some serious flexion into lead wrist. So if it’s gonna open it needs to get closed first !!!! Very good video

Starting the past season with shanks, this alone solved my striking issues and well, played the season at a 7.9 handicap.. Best striking tip/practice anyone can do imo.

Larry, it was nice to see you today at TXG's open house. Thank you for helping my buddy John. In under 10 minutes, you got him hitting the best 7 iron I've ever seen him hit! You really know your stuff. Cheers!

Larry. The most knowledgeable and low key instructor on YT with the least number of subscribers. I am certain that will change shortly cuz this guy is the real deal.

Thanks Larry. My club face is at 12 o'clock on my downswing. It's good to know that I don't have to worry about that.

as long as you are enough inside out you are ok

@@LarryCheungGolf My path is actually pretty neutral. I think is was 0.3 degrees and honestly I don't remember if that was inside out or outside in.

Great video! This one I really needed to see without even realizing I needed it...lol I’ve been confused about where the face should be at club head parallel in the downswing. Ive gotten pretty good at having the face a little closed on the back swing but I’ve run into trouble on the downswing because of it! I’ve been trying to get it to around 1:30 -2 o’clock (lefty) And getting a lot of hooks when I do. This video makes so much sense! I think this may well be the missing key to getting more consistent with my ball flight. I’ll be working on this on the range today and, hopefully, I will get much better results. Thanks!

How do I hit a fade with this technique? Keep up the good work^^
@briancatt78135 жыл бұрын
The Jack Nicklaus way... instead of gripping the club with a square face, open the face slightly then grip the club. Setup slightly open to the target and do everything else as you normally would. Keeping opening the face and opening your stance until you start to produce the face you desire. I doubt this is how Larry would teach the fade, but the technique itself has been around for decades and is well tested.
@LarryCheungGolf5 жыл бұрын
This video isn't a specific technique, it talks about the clubface's influence. You can hit any ballflight you want with any grip =)

I cannot seem to keep my face square at shaft parallel in backswing. Can you recommend any drills?

Feel like its closed =)
@ProfessorSteez2 жыл бұрын
What if your takeaway tends to be inside, but face closed? My clubface is pointing towards the sky at the top of my backswing. I don’t mind a closed face, but my avg swing path is 10-12R (I’m a righty) and the closed face produces some wicked movement.
@LarryCheungGolf2 жыл бұрын
your closed face feeds your inside out path, too much closed face will likely make you too much inside-out =)
@jeffcaminiti162 Жыл бұрын
Need more body rotation to offset the inside to out

Say Larry, have trouble with shallowing out, but I notice that when you and your pupils in the backswing begin down your rear leg goes into a crouch and your spine and club path automatically lowers without need to manipulate with hands. Am I right about that?
@LarryCheungGolf4 жыл бұрын
The end goal will have no manipulation, but for some to learn it and change their own swings, manipulation is needed at the beginning =)

I roll it open in the takeaway yet I'm closed at the top ??
@LarryCheungGolf5 жыл бұрын
Rolling it open can still lead to being closed at the top yes lol =P
@jongaskell665 жыл бұрын
Why not get it square in in the down swing to match the back swing?
@LarryCheungGolf5 жыл бұрын
Well if you're square at impact and have an inside out path, then you're going to hit a draw that curves away from target because it started on target =P
